Karyovin replied to Kulbit80's topic in Military and General Aviation
Carlo Kopp Analysis has been completed and posted here: http://www.ausairpower.net/APA-2010-01.html NOTAM here: http://www.ausairpower.net/APA-NOTAM-150210-1.html Sorry can't read it now gotta sleep its 12:30am here Enjoy -
Sukhoi T-50 PAK FA - first flight!
Karyovin replied to Kulbit80's topic in Military and General Aviation
True, but surely those missiles could be used against stand off mass jamming aircraft that could make life difficult for the S-300 operators trying to find F-22s & F-35s. Would that plasma stealth be used where aerodynamics may compromise stealth or just where it's easier to install? -
Sukhoi T-50 PAK FA - first flight!
Karyovin replied to Kulbit80's topic in Military and General Aviation
His full article on the T-50 is something I can't wait to read. But his conclusion will most likely be the same many of his others which is that the RAAF is screwed because of the past two governments choices (ie. F-35A & F/A-18F). However the Growler could change that until the R-77P and the R-172 start trickling down to South-East Asia -
Sukhoi T-50 PAK FA - first flight!
Karyovin replied to Kulbit80's topic in Military and General Aviation
I agree that it shold have something similar to the Raptor however cost and other structural issues as well as the fact it is going to be exported to other countries means that along the line the stealth was comprimised (Like how it doesn't have a radar blocker to the rear of the engine.) Sorry I'll give you the link to his NOTAM His sources are erring towards a pessimistic evaluation of the F-22 and F-35's RCS and radar capabilites. http://www.ausairpower.net/APA-NOTAM-300309-1.html -
Sukhoi T-50 PAK FA - first flight!
Karyovin replied to Kulbit80's topic in Military and General Aviation
Carlo Kopp from Ausairpower.net is guesstimating it to be 0.01 m2 all aspect (worse case, best for west scenario) F-22A Front Aspect = 0.0001 m2, Side and Rear Aspect = 0.01 – 0.001 m2 F-35A Front Aspect = 0.001 m2, Side and Rear Aspect = 0.01 m2 These are for X-band radars (APG-81/most modern radars) The more zeros the better Sorry to keep editing -

TVC and FCS may nullify that problem and the fact the tailplanes are all moving -
Strike Fighters Anime in the Works
Karyovin replied to ShinKazama88's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Sci-Fi/Anime/What If Forum
There both good series but waiting ~5 years per production is a bit too long just to have 5-26 episodes honestly Back On Topic:Good angle Shin things would be hard for the mercs at the start before their skills were acknoledged. Maybe some French and British planes on both sides could make life interesting. -

Strike Fighters Anime in the Works
Karyovin replied to ShinKazama88's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Sci-Fi/Anime/What If Forum
So true and waiting for the next Macross or similar anime simply does my head in. It's a shame the A88 TV series only lasted 12 episodes and they didn't follow up on it. -
Strike Fighters Anime in the Works
Karyovin replied to ShinKazama88's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Sci-Fi/Anime/What If Forum
Sounds really interesting and I think your lead artist is a good choice. I am intrigued by the idea of game graphics (for the planes like a certain anime I guess) and hand drawn art and I'd see how well it integrates into it. I was just thinking about whether Guardians or Invaders would be a little more realistic choice than the Trackers. Please keep us updated! -

It's the same here, trucks and utilitys out number normal cars here at least 2-1.I can thank BHP for that.I must say I'm a little more cautious because of them having their bull bars where my window is

Me a 1999 ER34 NA 25GT Skyline 4-Door.It's not powerful but it saved me nearly 10K compared to the turbo and is the perfect successor to my R31.It might have been a sister to the car in Saywhat's pic Here's the damage when a tree branch fell on it.

The best playstation Flight Simulator... "Wing Over 2"
Karyovin replied to ShinKazama88's topic in Game Console Corner
Honestly I prefer the original Wing Over. It had Shintani-sensei's fingerprints all over it (From concept to artwork). I've only played the PAL copy with the Westernized names though it is a shame their was no F-8E -
THANKS MK2 for this essential website from Downunda

Looky what I found
Karyovin replied to i90807065's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Sci-Fi/Anime/What If Forum
You mean Panzerfire's CFA-44? that was made before AC6 was released and was made from the trailers (I provided the 2nd one for it) so it wouldn't be 100% accurate but good enough. As for YSflight it's a very simple FS with good flight physics but aircraft models can range from very good to really basic. -
Thanks for bringing this plane out,now I can finally retire the Su-22M4 as the Q\A-5 stand-in Although I think I've found one small problem with this plane:The elevators are reversed Luckily this can be fixed unlike the Su-27LLPV in Deadly Skies III\Air Force Delta Strike

F-111X need help
Karyovin replied to 76.IAP-Blackbird's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Sci-Fi/Anime/What If Forum
A defense analyst here wrote a series of articles about an upgrade of the F-111C with AESA,F119 engines,SMT/D style thrust vectoring (for trim and high altitude maneuvers),JDAM,JASSM,JSOW,SDB,AMRAAM capability, basic stealth features and a complete refurbishment of the airframe. Pigs Forever Article I think he called it the F-111S I was a while ago working towards one but I hit a brick wall in terms of knowledge and my laptop died. -
