  1. Whatever you do, do NOT...

Apart from having Kawamori design the ASF-X and the VF-1J/S skinned Tomcats (JP Ver. Only) it was the music that saved it for me. Favourite Track: White Noise
  2. It looks like a skin for Boris' F-8E Crusader from the TV Series of Area 88. Debuted and bought the big one in the second episode. Both Shin Kazama and himself were smart enough to fold the F-8's wings to get between the sections of the Fangs but caught a 23mm shell through the intake.
  3. Maybe they should find the voice actor for the AWACS Checkmate from F-22 Lightning 3, he aways sounded interesting and professional and maybe some background noise might add to the immersion.
  4. Hi All I've noticed this 'small' issue with the Ali Cat. Is one wing sweeping at the old settings and one with the new or I just need to clean the mod folder again? FM was on hard and showed while i was pulling g's.
  5. F-111 burial....

If they were the G's we may have had no choice but to bury them thanks to their previous role in SAC just like the B-52G getting dewinged. What is it with swing wing planes getting chopped up or buried when they are retired instead of using them like the F-4 for target practice?
  6. MiG control lockup

I certinly learnt my lesson about that when my PF got a handful of 30mm Aden Rounds from an Avon Sabre that I badly overshot.
  7. Libyan Mig shot down over Benghazi

Reverse Delegation at it's finest "BTW if your RWR is going off like a Christmas tree just ignore it and keep going, Seeya" Such a damn shame someone crushed a SF-260 with a tank though. Now that night has fallen the rebels can rest assured that NATO fights 24hrs unlike the LAAF, Enjoy the fireworks display outside the city Benghazi. OT:Damn 3AM here gotta sleep....
  8. Libyan Mig shot down over Benghazi

Too true..... But if I was stuck in that city that is under siege by the Libyan Army I'd consider using that plane against the tanks to at least delay them entering the city. But now that the NATO forces are seen to be playing hardball flying anything that doesn't have NATO or civie IFF signals is tantamount to suicide. The best thing Gaddafi can do for his Air Force now is to bury it like the Iraqi Air Force did to theirs and save a few pilots lives.
  9. Libyan Mig shot down over Benghazi

Thanks Dave, Although I think this topic is starting to reach it's expiry date since we're starting to talk about the ops in Libya proper instead of the MiG-23BN They weren't kidding when they said French warplanes would be the first to start airstrikes against Pro-Gaddafi forces. Once again I'm curious to what they are using (LGB's/AASM's?) since they seem to be overkill for just tanks and cluster munitions have been banned. *facepalm* Of Course, I should of remembered that from article talking to one of the C-130K pilots that was getting people out like you said.
  10. Libyan Mig shot down over Benghazi

I'm surprised APACHE missiles haven't started impacted the airfields confirmed to be in the hands of Qaddafi since this has now started for real. If they starting to attack Libyan Army units outside of Benghazi that means that the Rafale's are armed for Multi-role work (AASM's?). SA-6 and SA-8s hmm, they could be a problem if they keep them mobile and follow the Serbs example of ambush tactics (ALARM's should work well for those.)
  11. Libyan Mig shot down over Benghazi

Ignoring the posts above for the thread's sake. Apart from the ZPU's/ZU's,SA-7/14's and SA-2/3's what else does the LAAF have that can shoot down aircraft. From recollection the S-200 sites they had got nailed by Hornets in El Dorado Canyon. An SA-3 would be only thing I can see shooting down that Flogger apart from the mobile/portable stuff they must have arrayed around there.
  12. Libyan Mig shot down over Benghazi

Looking at the photos it looks like a MiG-23BN (I wonder what model their second aircraft is) that got shot down. That nose profile is hard not to spot. Other reports say they used the planes to attack a warship. Well if you needed to take some T-72's out I guess that's better than nothing. Video Report w/photos: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-africa-12794589 The rebels must be thankful they don't have to worry about the "Blinders"
  13. Libyan Mig shot down over Benghazi

That's true I hope his injuries aren't too serious that he can't get out of Dodge if things detriorate further.
  14. Libyan Mig shot down over Benghazi

They must be desperate if they think launching that bird will help the situation but thinking the Col. would leave his forces defenceless against air attack is a bit naive. Now with the rebels launching planes it's gonna make it harder for NATO planes to engage BVR (the ROE they are probably under will make that impossible) with the possibilty of blue-on-blue. The F-14A's TVS would be useful about now if the rebels have marked their planes.
  15. Libyan Mig shot down over Benghazi

I wonder what equipment they are using? Mir-2000's or Rafales with A/R Support and the obvious AWACs backup?
  16. Libyan Mig shot down over Benghazi

I saw it on the news (Ch7) here around 6pm WST. That pics is large enough to pick out the fact that there's no one left in it. There's no doubt that a LAF Flogger but on which side? If that's a Pro-Col. Plane why did an interceptor fly so low to get hit by AAA or MANPADs
