  1. To eliminate this problem I make background for a tga the same colour but slightly lighter,but not too much you notice....so when in game it looks the same colour all around... so make the letters black.RGB values 0.0.0 .and the background colour RGB values 5,5,5.
  2. When editing data.inis...its easy to copy and paste entries for meshes and overlook an item that causes roll problems... its this.. the Ymac entries for wings,and stabs... Chord=3.54 Ymac=-1.64 <<< -1.64 for left side of a\c and 1.64 for starboard... check the model isnt showing the same instance for both the surfaces....

  5. I have a working V1 and launcher...and moonjumper and I got it to work as a target.....well,mostly MJ did the hard bit getting it to launch at a different "country"...I can dig it out...
  6. On my 109 E ( you show in pic)...I had chevron and cross decals and no bleed...I think you need look at the tga`s...
  7. Funny you should say that kev....I did some air race skins for the P47 and 109...these are old shots in 3ds max....the skins have more detail such as AIR_RACE2008 graphics...(not shown)
  8. I did a template for that 109.... also im sure the out files were in the d\l of the 109e too.. this is a pic of the 3d model in max...with some of the panel lines,etc, included in the template..

  10. Glad to see my dear Lightning still in action... I am still doing an F1 F2 f3...and upgrading templates as I accidently overwrote the fuselage psd and lost all panel line layers ages ago...hope to finish these asap...time permitting..

  14. I did try painting that Gromov Flanker Top fuselage letters but marcs skin is distorted on top...hence decal...

    Ive been playing guitar now since I was 17,and im now 47 and I am still learning new stuff,I just offer this advice...as said above...practise practise practise and when you are fed up of practising and your head hurts...practise again...and one thing that I was told by Motorhead Gutarist Eddie Clark..I met when they played here in wales years ago...he said.."The thing is not to look at the next page til you know the page you are studying by heart and in your sleep"...and that was something i never forgot....dont walk before u can run...   17. Ahhh yer thbx crusader...saves time that way I got the selections for diff pylons to work...but now 4 of the same weapon appears in dropdown (2 per pylon)amount and should be only 2 selectable?(1 each pylon)...any ideas? loadout.ini specifies one per pylon btw...so its not that causing this..
  18. 3D trouble

    When exactly does it crash?...if it crashes when it starts loading a\c...it could be you are missing summat such as cockpit.. are you trying to load int...on runway in cockpit...In air?....etc...try option of start in air....as it could be the landing gears are set wrong... just a few ideas ive stumbled across time to time...

I had the IRM rail part of the pylon...PylonL...I detached it as new pylon PylonL_IRM..and linked it to main pylon....which is then linked to the wing.. .RightWing<PylonL<PylonL_IRM .but....if you select the pylon to have IRMs only...the upper PylonL...will disappear leaving a gap..so I think I need attach PylonL to wing...it should then be there whatever weapon u select... so far all I need do is now attach that pylon and set the ne co-ords for the pylonL so bombs etc are correct position,as they are now atm,where the lower pylon was before I detached it to get it to work correctly... that make sense?...lol

  21. On marcs flanker textures the pylons are mapped to wing bitmaps...top right corners... I did some skins for his Flanker....and have redone some lines and rivets etc...

I thought of the poly thing ages ago to overcome decal bleed on a mesh...it does work...but you need to have the polygon placed a few cm`s away from a\c to stop any poly flashing...also it doesnt creat a shadow...so np there...but for larger areas to decal...you may have problems as you will need a few polys shaped to the mesh you want to add the decaled polys to.
