VB Getting 55-60 from in the clouds to 50 feet off the deck but to clarify I'm not using the windower gave up on it..with a 24 inch screen can't see giving up the real estate..Just went to mark's site and downloaded some screens and found the ones who looked best and changes to my ini i do manually because the stick setup screen is tought to read

VB Pretty sure most folks would like higher frame rates for a smoother flight..I don't require a ton of planes around just enough to fight ..As you have said in the past a lot of guys don't have the latest and I figure they would appreciate anything that makes it smoother...I far from knowledgeable but using FPAPS I see down in the 20's FPS but the flight is smooth as glass and then for no apparent reason it might jump to 50with no change in views or the amount of action..I've a fairly fair setup running in Win 7..I've found in some other sims notably CFS2 and 3 if you hop to an exterior view right away track your camera around the plane it gets smoother..I think it might load the terrain textures into memory..might be time to revisit my graphic settings and see what changes accomplish and of course turn off the global 2 x AA I rather fly smooth than look good

OK,,Managed to figure it out by opening the korea ini along side the Pacific one and the issue was here..The directory line was blank copied over the Korea one and changed it to WW2Pacific and now it's working fine,, [Mods] ModsEnabled=TRUE Directory=C:\Users\Russ\Saved Games\ThirdWire\StrikeFighters2 WW2Pacific Editors=StrikeFighters2

Hi Could use some advice with a mod ..I installed a Pacific mod but when I run it it comes up as regular SF2 NA....I looked in my saved games\3rdwire and all the Pacific stuff is there ..I put in korea yesterday and it runs sweet...Is there a line some wheres in the ini file that tells it where the mod is?? That's the only thing I can figure at this point....Thank you for any advice

Hi I have to revisit this topic...I'm reinstalling all of SF2 got it running great..Next trying to do Korea,,,Properly renamed Vietnam.EXE and the ini to Korea.exe...When I run it I can enter the game and sit in the cockpit but it stops there it won't accept any keyboard input I have to do the 3 finger salute to get out..I can't proceed with the install until something is written to my mod folder ...any help as always is appreciated Just as a point of reference..I'm installing the PTO mod from the other place and it started off fine,,went in and all the keystrokes worked but Korea they don't

I've been trying all day to install the 3 part Korean Air War Mod....I have all the SF series SF2,,SFE,,SFI,,SFV..SF NA..Plus the 2 expansion packs and the work fine...Updated to Jul 2013.Following the instructions I copied my Vietnam.exe and renamed it StrikeFighters2 Korea and ran it went in and messed with the config but didn't create a Korea folder in my users\Saved Games folder I tried manually creating it and copying things in but it wouldn't run Korea,,Any help in getting this beauty to fly would be appreciated,,,,,,Running win 7 with sp1 installed

Just a bit confused..I'm trying to reinstall the Korean air War mod on a new HD and is the Korea 3 terrain the proper one to use I see it's from Wrench but I think before I used a different version..Thanks for not laughing..just don't want to muck it up

" " I went to my documents /My games..wrong place to look,,,,.Found it now ,,Just not used to adding mods...I should have caught it from when I was adding things to SF2 and knew where to go

Ok Don't know how to delete the previous post but reading the forums I found out I already have Verdun in FE2..So I down loaded Stock terrains upgrade pack..The read me says BASEPACK -holds all the seasonal reworked ground textures in their sub-directories and tod (trees and buildings) files, copy the contents of this folder BOTH to your wwiVerdun and wwiCambrai folders! (I've tried pointing the Cambrai ini to use the Verdun textures, but ran into heavy I went to my terrains folder and all thjat's there are two cat files..So I checked in my docs third wire and nothing there ..I tried running it and went to see if it created a file in my docs folder..Nothing,,At a total loss as how to proceed..My eyes are going crossed from all the reading but it's how you learn ,,,,,As always any help is appreciated

I just went through 40 pages looking for a Verdun terrain..This is mentioned in the first post but the link is dead,,,,I just want to improve on the stock terrain as a start but can't find any thing,,,I appreciate any help

Thanks VonS,,,I've got the base FE2 up and running great..Tomorrow I'l grab some terrains and try them out..When I start putting mods in sims I always make a quick backup before so if something goes amiss I have a fallback install,,Actually I have both FE 1 and 2 installed..Got to do some reading here so I can tweak it a bit

Just downloaded the Korea all in on theater for SFP1 Got the patch and weapons pack but can't figure out what Korea terrain to use..I know the terrain for SFP2 won't work..Could some one help get what I neeed,,,Thanks

Thank you Wrench,,I have SF2 with Korea added in,,But my video card died and I'm using the onboard video,,,Just ordered a new one from Amazon,,,The integrated graphis chip stinks...

I'm an older gamer which it appears I'm not alone,,,,I Still Fly CFS 1 and CFS 2 along with EAW,,Ginship!and Janes WWII Fighters I still have the Mod cd's to dress that puppy up.. Guess the newest sims I have is Il-2 with the BAT mod,And a modded SF2 ,Like it's said today's sims ain't got the same soul So I'm happy in my time caspule

If you head over to SimHQ and find any post by Mr.Jelly he has links at the bottom to different versions of EAW that have those two theaters the latest is 1.50 but 1.40 also has them..Better yet read the next 4 posts down Jel has the links and some very informative screens there

Been away a bit but flying again...Yes I read the read me and it's just credits to the contributors I've tried a few things but the range won't show in the mission map selection...I'll keep trying,,got to learn how to hit ground tgt's.
