  1. ok ok, we all had good laugh at my exspense, but this is serious stuff for neewbies who keep getting popped out of the sky
  2. Okay, In SF:Pj1 there is only one kind of SAM, thhe SA-2B Guidline. It's 10 meters long and can ruin your day in a hurry. <--BAD How to avoid them. For those of you just entering into the wonderful world of Flight Sims or have just come from 4 decades before out of IL-2 or, god help me, CFS3, Heres some tips. 1. LOOK AROUND! Like this guy--> , that's Steve. Steve doesn't want to look like this--> :( because he was doing this--> 8) (I love smileys) 2.When the missle is coming at you, don't fly towards it, beam it. In other words...put sam off 90 degrees to your wing, then wait till you can visually identify the missle, it'll look like a telephone pole at the end of the smoke trail. When this happens, turn INTO the missle's path, it will try to follow you and end up missing you and losing it's lock, then you can kill the Fansong radar that guided it 3. if you are in a F-4E you should the lock tone on your RWR and see it, top right of instrument pannel, and should be able to use Chaff and Flares.
  3. I have a right mind to beat the living s___ outa that guy. grrr.....
  4. WOOT! People from kansas! Ya I'll work on one tonight!
  5. I think with the new web chat function, we should all hangout sometime. I don't know maybe like Monday at 8:00 central. Thats what I think
  6. two things, the tailpipe on the F-11F tiger is too large, and the diameter of the F-89's tips are is too large. And to clear it up for everyone, the the tip tanks loook like that because they aren't tip tanks, they're rocket pods
  7. Could someone do an F-104 in Vietnam camo? It would look great.
  8. but, I can't upload it. Anyone have a way to host it? I may try skunkworks. It gave chills when I watched it, but then again, I did make so, who knows. Anyway, if I find a host I'll tell ya. It's in .wmv format at 1.4 megs.
  9. there's a single place thud in the Combat Air Museum in Topeka. I actually had to ask my dad what it was when I saw it because I was confused by it's size! ITS SOOOO HUGE!
  10. wow...that must take an incredible amount self discipline. I really respect for this. Hope you make ok, but we all know you will Good Luck!
  11. These are what I made in Adobe illustrator last night, black and white, good for setting up shots. Hope you enjoy!
  12. This came up on the radom image thing on the mainpage, but hey, why not an encore for some seroius cold war action.
  13. Just to let evryone know...I have using SF screen shots to make some story for the film which right now is titled "Down there Amongst Them: A Spad Pilots Story" After the article in the Vietnam Air War special issue of Flight Journal. I will be posting some of the boards when I get home from school, but please...56Kers beware...they will be high resolution.
  14. wow, it looks like they pulled out all the stops to give you movie style small north-eastern fising twon, looks really good, better than the towns in Il-2 or SF
  15. thanks ranger, I'm sure why but I figured you'd be the first to reply, why I'm not sure
  16. I hope to use the the SF engine to film a action-y type of war movie featuring the A-1H. If anyone knows a good program to use to video capture it would be appreiciated. Also, just like any movie with airplanes in it, I need good pilots to fly the planes. I would host a series of multi-player sessions to work out the scenes. I would need lots of A-1 pilots but also, Mig and Phantom pilots. These of course would be very structured and may have to be done over and over again, but hey, what the hell you know. I'm sure your all disciplined enough. I would also need some mission designers to set up the ground scenery, AAA, tanks etc. I hope to begin work on this ambitious project in march. If I learn flash in time, I may even have animated dialouge!
  17. no there might be a flanker 4.0 but it will probably be "Lock-On futuristic retared recriutment poster aircraft"
  18. Actually it was the kid in the commercial who sued pepsi, I read about that in "Air and Space" I was roflol before I even had evwer used roflol
  19. This is what we want This is what we have You'll notice in this pic that the nose section is correct for a B-52D however the verticle-stabalizer is remminisscent of a B-52H or G, sorry no joy on that model. wouldn't take but 15 minutes or so to fix though.
  20. whew, don't go to the wishlist at the Lo-Mac forums. This is what happened after I said an ASAT would be neat.
  21. Please, extend your palette. Also you have to remeber that Lock-On started as "Flanker Attack" essintially Flanker 3.0. It's being designed by the Russians so the F-15 and the A-10 are there to get it to sell on the US market. and really, who wants to land on a runway that can get it self lost at sea anyway?
