F-15C MSIP Cockpit Repaint

Without the MAX files for the cockpit lod, nothing can really be changed. There is a distinct probability that they no longer exist. -
Mytai's Phantom Skin Conversions...
Wrench replied to Wrench's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Mods & Skinning Discussion
I'm doing them in hi-rez (2048x) also, saying ARRRRRGHHH!!! I can't use the date switch, due to there being many skins that fall into the same year category!!! Total brain fart on my part, not just the Atlantic Fleet skins, but the Pacific Fleet skins too! so, it goes back to Player Selection on the loadout screen! (damnitall!!) -

BF-109-G10 Flight Model
Wrench replied to baffmeister's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - World War II Forum
I took Baffs idea and applied some changes to the old Wolf357 Bf-109F. I've gotten it to fly much better, considering how old it is! Let me do a little more testing and I'll upload a copy of the data ini for you folks to test. -
man, I just LOVE reading the historical stuff!! you all are doing a great job!

HUD Edit
Wrench replied to Phasers's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Mods/Skinning Discussion
yes, by repainting the R/G/B channels of the relevant TGA's used. Extract them, place in the a /Cockpit folder within the aircraft in question's main folder (example: F-15A/Cockpit/*name of tga*), and repaint. You should find listing of them by going line-by-line through the cockpit ini (for the main gunsight's name) and the avionics ini for all the rest. Mind you, there IS a callout (in hexidecimal colors) in the avionics ini for "HUDColor=", but IIRC that won't change the color of the TGAs used. you will, of course, need a paint program that works with 32 bit TGAs, and when saving won't destroy or damage the alpha channel. Have fun!! -

water modding question
Wrench replied to one4five's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Mods & Skinning Discussion
that's in SF2NA, right? Well, that really can't be added to a TFD/HFD style terrain. See the first response by Menrva -

plant too many trees
Wrench replied to hachBORHSO's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
welcome back bro! We all know the TE is bordering on crap, as it was never, EVER finished -- sort of a beta minus as there are many "features and functions" that (like the games themselves) were never implimented. what you saying is, when creating forest tiles, is work ONLY one tile at a time (J1 for instance), plant all the trees, save, save all, THEN move the TOD and ***tilenametod.ini*** to a seperate folder within the TE, then move on to the next tile (J2 for instance)?? is this what I'm seeing? -
I fixed it by removing the other one. in the old SF1/Wo* forums, there once was a discussion of calculating the bomb angle, and the 'when to drop time'. I don't remember where it is, but hopefully a search of the forum might locate it. OTH, it might have been lost in the crash we had 4-5 years back.

Stary's Green Hell or his GermanyCE forests would be better examples. -
