    SF2 C-123B/K Provider ReMod Pack 11/2/2022 -For SF2 (Full 4/5 Merged Reccomended)- This is a remod/update package of the C-123B & C-12K Provider cargo transport by Dels from 2009. This package contains the following items --- C-123B: USAFSilver - 390th Troop Carrier Group USAFSEA - 3 tone SEA camo. 19th Air Commando Squadron, 315th Air Command Group (1965<) C-123K: USAFSEA - 309th ACS, 315th ACW VNAF - 423rd Transport Squadron AirAmerica - NMF AFRES - 731st TAS, 901st TAW Westover AFB, MA (<1974) (NEW!!!) All serial numbers are 100% hisorically correct for each of the skins on both aircraft. However, I was unable to run down serials to units. So, consider them 'generic' in that regard. Decal randomization is true. New decals for all but "Air America" skin. ALL skins remain in their "as issued" 1stGen bmp format. The SF2 'date switch' is used on on the C-12B to switch from NMF to 3-tone camo; it is also used on the 123K, as the VNAF skin becomes active in 1970, and the AFRES skin post-Vietnam in 1974. The "airdropable" weapons are also included. New sounds and hangar & loading screens are also included. The flight model remains "as issued". See "change Log" for full more details. As is always reccommended, unzip to a temp folder or your desktop to give easy access to the rest of this readme for it's install instructions. PLEASE read them, before installing!!! It also includes any previous updates from long past years. It is designed for use with the SF2-NA environment While the tiling has not been touched, (almost) all the target areas have been revamped, rebuilt or replaced. Several new regions have been added, and many of the other inis have been upgraded (See Notes for more changes). Several items (Ground Objects & Weapons) are supplied; in the Notes section is a list of other items you'll probably want to obtain. Be advised, you will experience longer than usual loading times, due to the weight of objects on the terrain. And yes, you can expect a plethora of 'hidden in the open' Easter Eggs. After all, it's my trademark!! (tm) As always, PLEASE read the install instructions, and the accompaning Notes and Other Nonsense for more details on other needed items.   7. I've had it do that with Win7 too. might be something about overloading memory?? I got the point I'd just do one or 2 tiles, save and exit, reopen the editor and start working again

  11. No. Jugs, yes, Spits, yes. Hurricanes, yes. Wellingtons, Blenheims in the early days
  12. basically, USMC does not spontaneous generate as a CV based unit. They are NOT normally carrier based in-game*. You can choose them for single action missions, but for campaigns they'll have to be assigned to said carrier (think of Korea, where 2 squadrons of Corsairs were assigned to one of the CVLs). That having been said, USMC MUST be in Nations ini for said terrain. Weither or not they'll spawn of the "L" series boats is guesswork. And those would only be Harriers and/or helos. They WILL however, spawn on regular CV/CVA/CVNs. Off the top of my head, terrains that have USMC in the nations list: Korea3, NAfrica, Lybia, DBS, Formosa, the stock IcelandNA, NorthCape, Panama, Persian Gulf and others (I should know -- I worked on all of them). And of course, the PTO WW2 maps (duh!!!) *fly a single misssion off the boat in a MC bird, and see what the parked aircraft are
  13. Most of you that have played any of my terrain mods, know of the placement of "hot dog stand" (in it's various incarnations and names) scattered across the landscape. Well, in looking up some of the airports/bases on mainland China, I came across this image. Now, I'm not talking about the 2 J-10s, but the 'red pinned' tag in the lower right. the "Muchung Beef Shop" might be that building just below the title. Since, that's "My Thing" to do, could it be that the powers that be in China know of my penchent for placing resturants everywhere? And will I get paid for my idea???? The world may never know!!!

    With all the terrible things going on in this world of ours, stop for a moment and look around you, and be glad for what you've got!! Here's hoping everyone (wiether you celebrate Christmas, Xmas - watch out for Santa!- , Hanukah, or what ever winter festival you have), has a wonderful time with friends and family! Don't forget, New Years is right around the corner. Don't bother making any resolutions, because we all know they don't get kept!!!! LOL!!!

These aircraft were first released in 2004, actually predating their 3rd Wire arrival in Wings Over Vietnam. These were among the first 3-party add-ons for the Strike Fighters series. This mod is split into two aircraft: F-105D-25 (NMF) (actually covers all early D model Thuds) F-105D-31 (SEA 3 Tone) (Vietnam and later) The -25 is equivilant to the stock 3W F-105D, while the -31 is pretty much the same as the 3W F-105D_66; in fact it HAS a 1966 start date. The -25 has 3 skins/decal sets: 7th TFS "Bunyaps" 49th TFW - USAFE Spangdahlem Air Base, West Germany 562nd TFS, 23rd TFW - (shark mouth) 563rd TFS "Ace Of Spades", 23rd TFW -both at McConnel AFB, then Takhali RTAFB The -31 also has 3 skin/decal sets: 333rd TFS "Lancers", 355TFW 357th TFS "Licking Dragons", 355TFW - both at Takhali RTAFB 149th TFS, Virginia ANG (auto start date 1971) The SF2 'date swtich' will turn on the VA ANG skin in 1971(ish). All skins remain in their original bmp format. All markings are decals, and decal randomization is TRUE. Each unit has 24 historical serial and/or buzz numbers. As I always do, those marked with a star (*) are 100% correct for the unit. Those marked with a cross/plus sign (+) while serving in the same Wing, could =NOT= be run down to a particular squadron. Those aircraft with 'nose art' or name badges on the wings (333rd & 357th) are all new, and match their real life aircraft (ie: name ---> serial). As all the squadrons, excepting the VA ANG skin, are listed in the game's Squadron List, those displayed names are activated via Level=1 decals. Drop tanks are supplied for both aircraft, in NMF and Camo, as is a new pilot figure. All other weapons used are stock 3rd Wire, excepting any AGM-12 Bullpups you may want to load. This represents the 8th Bombardment Squadron of the 35th TFW as first deployed to Southeast Asia. The uppers are finished is standard 3-tone camo, with the unders in a 'light grey'. This was an unpopular paint job, and was replaced soon after with the standard Night Black (tm) unders. All markings are decals, and have 24 100% historically correct serials, and their presentation on the tail, for the timeframe represented. Decal randomization is TRUE. As usual, they are marked with the star (*) to show their accuracy. Also included, is a new(ish) Dual HVAR launcher, as requested (along with this skin) by CA member KiwiBiggles. It's a modified, aircraft specific version of the dual rack as used on the F-84 Thunderjet/Thunderstreak. It mounts the STOCK 3W 5" HVAR rockets. It has been edited to it's own name, and will NOT conflict with the T-Jet rack. A new loadout ini is included that pre-loads the Dual Rack for those mission taskings when it would be needed. This skin also includes it's own Hangar Screen. (You may need to edit the main B-57B.ini to add it. If you don't know how, contact me via PM or post in this announcement thread) On the Loadout screen, for skin selection you'll see: 8th BS (Early Grey Unders) On the drop-down menu As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included.
