  1. I wondered how long it would be, before someone found it!!
  2. Volker, this should answer the question http://combatace.com/topic/68224-adjusting-beginning-end-year-spread/ also, some terrains DO have a limited year spread, and each individual one will need to be checked and adjusted (but none of mine -- they all use a 100 year spread)
  3. I got them too work; I'll post pics later. in essence, 4 individual skin folder (skin is in the MAIN folder), with texture sets and decals iinis. And they just appeared all by themselves! very odd!

  7. File Name: SF2 KAW Royal Navy Fleet Air Arm "What If" Aircraft Pack File Submitter: Wrench File Submitted: 02 April 2015 File Category: What If Hangar SF2 KAW Fleet Air Arm "What If" Aircraft Pack 3/30/2015 *For SF2 -ONLY-!! Full-5 Merged Reccomended* This package contains 2 "What If..." aircraft as used (???) by the Royal Navy's Fleet Air Arm during the Korean War. They are: Hawker Seahawk F.1A 898 NAS, HMS Ocean Vought Corsair Mk.V (F4U-4B) 1841 NAS, HMS Theseus 1830 NAS, HMS Glory (1953) The Seahawk has gotten a major revamp from the very old 1stGen version released several thousand years ago. It should be noted at this time, the Seahawk has "some issues" on recovering back on the boat. See Notes for more info. Hopefully, someone can fix this. It also gets a 'new' cockpit, courtesy of Stary. The Corsair has 2 skins, both with Korean era "invasion stripes", but 1841 NAS is in USN DGNB. Essentialy, a RN marked USN bird, carrying UK ordanance (ok, the 60# rockets). 1830 NAS has been repainted to "standard" FAA camo (grey uppers, "sky" unders). The SF2 date switch is NOT used for either of these skins. Both use the same pools of decals. On all skins, all markings are decals. Recal randomization is set to "TRUE" When in-game, on the aircraft selection drop down you'll see: Corsair Mk.V SeaHawk F.1A Weapons, pilots, and such are provided for the Seahawk. With the exception of a 'new' rocket rack for the Corsair, it reuses most everything already in the KAW Weapons Pack. As all markings are decals; this is make it easy for other texture artists to change the ship ID letter, and create other fictional squadrons. For the Corsair only, the Standarn Animation Keystrokes are used for wingfold and canopy (Shift/9 & Shift/0). The Seahawks have no working canopy or wingfolds (it's an old model, what can I say?). The Seahawk also gets new DDS damage textures, and many smaller 'tweeks' (again, see Notes below). As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. PLEASE read them!!! Also, as usual, give the "Notes and Comments" section a read, too. In the Seahawk's aircraft folder, is my original (2008) what-if readme. Happy Landings & Have Fun!! 9. Disney Pixar X-Wings

    oh yeah!!!!
  10. wouldn't it be easier to simply download the already converted/modded SF2 carriers? There's eburgers ultimate CV Pak ... eliminates the need for screwing around with things, and getting them wrong. http://combatace.com/files/file/13758-sf2na-ultimate-carriers-pack/
  11. ALL lods, including those from DLCs are in objectdata002
  12. Jug Has Passed Away

wow. a real good guy; he'll be missed here rest well .
  13. that, the Ouragon is Pasko's from like 2005...
  14. everything. from the top of the data ini, to end of the aerodynamic statements (leaving out landing gear, weapons hardpoints, guns, etc) best trick, find "something" with the same approximate weight, size, etc, and use those statements. it can be refined from there
  15. not too many aircraft have that shape; could be a Panther or an Ouragon? as to this stuff being ported to the PC games ... my breath is NOT being held. IMO, never gonna happen. I doubt we'll be seeing anything new for PC series. Ever. I will be pleasantly surprised, however, if my assumptions (oh! that word!) turn out wrong. BUT it is nice to see something being done for portable devices. Maybe one day I'll have a tablet...

  17. the Iraqi bases are probably too close to the wall. Which I why I didn't bother with them. (there's 5 H-3 strips!!) Marj Ruhayyil Airbase > Marq Rial (s/w of Damascus) Mezze may be problematic ... I'll have to check the height field. it might be too "hilly" to add. sometimes when one does a 'flatten airbase', it rasies it up and messes up all the surrounding territory
  18. ok, there's a "targets tweeks" pak uploaded, and the full terrain itself has been updated to match. have fun!
  19. if I can find them on my charts, shouldn't be a problem. should I add the other airport at Alexandria, Borg al Arab? (even though both are out of range of IDF birds?) edit: Abu Hamad is already there. its' Az Aaqazig. it's too far north. I'll correct that

SF2 Soviet Transport and AWAC Aircraft by Veltro2K = For SF2, Full 5 Merged RECCOMENDED! = This is a Re-release of the Veltro2k's Soviet/WarPac Transport and AWAC aircraft. It is REQUIRED that you have SF2NA in your merged install, as several of these reference the stock 3W Tu-95 Bear destroyed model. Some reference the stock 3W An-12 destroyed model. Hence, the need for a Full 5 Merged install. It is usable without, but you won't have the dead wreckage on the ground. Also, the AWAC versions use the "AEW" avionics coding from SF2NA. Included in the pak are remods of: An-22 Cock A-50 Mainstay AWAC IL-76 Candid Tu-114 Cleat (Aeroflot airliner) Tu-126 Moss AWAC Aircraft that were exported have userlist inis included (ie: the Il-76). Any that I missed, End Users ™ are encouraged to 'fill in the blanks', and post those changes. All avionics, in particular for the AWACs, have been brought up SF2NA standards at the July 2012 patch level. New sounds for the prop engines are included. Although cockpits ARE included for all aircraft, really people...let the AI handle them. They exist for 2 reasons: eye candy and targets. Skins remain in their bmp format, and decal radomization is set to TRUE. All decals reference stock markings, including the Bort numbers. New damage textures are supplied, in DDS format. As always, fairly easy to follow, detailed install instructions are included. PLEASE read them!!! Also, give the "Note" section a read, in particular on operational usage. The Legal Statement has been changed with regards to these aircraft. For those that still have the original releases, as there HAVE been changes and additions in several of the inis, you may wish to examine them, mostly in respect to SF2NA, you may wish to replace the originals with these. **These aircraft herein are released in "AS IS" Condition. Any and all issues/problems that cannot be solved via ini edits will exist forever, as new models are unlikely to be created**. Happy Landings! wrench kevin stein
  21. one could always simple edit the main ini, to point to the 70.dll, couldn't they?
  22. I can't seem to find my arab numbers font -- might have gotten lost in last years restore debacle. The ones I have just come up in "engilsh" (regular numbers) I'm trying to replicate the style seen in the stock 3w Arabic numbers, like I've done for the EAF Spit V, for the EAF Stirling. Any help is appreciated! TIA!
