  1. those little 'nipple' thingys around the cowling are the exhaust port outlets. If the model has those, it wouldn't have the single collector type on the outside of the nacelle, and vice versa. (of course, G/H/J use the individual ports) if they're a single mesh for each cowling, they can be easily removed via ini tricks I like it! it's looking real good!!!
  2. ok, below is less than 1 hours work, including time stopped to watch "True Blood", "The Last Ship" and "Falling Skies" the VF-22 skin, with modex decals, randomized of course. (and yes, I have shadows turned on at the moment)
  3. I can have the reskins done quite easily. it only takes a few hours, as the entire aircraft does NOT need retemplating. As I have a HUGE stock of Modex numbers, in all sequences, the only decals that would need new one are the aircraft name a BuNum for the fin. it's just all the other issue that can't be fixed shadow tractor beams non folding wings upgrading data ini (FM wise) and adding carrier basing statements (the last being the easiest)
  4. yeah, good luck with that. folks have been asking for several years. but, raz is no longer in the sf business. a pity, the cockpit is worth the price of admission (of course, ALL the skins need rebuilding to have actual modex numbers and other decals, and there's the shadow issues...) In real life, the tanks were NOT jettisonable (removable, but not droppable) As to the damage maps, maybe making some new ones are in order? The 3W DDS ones are easily and readily adaptable. for duplicate weapons, if you're worried about HD space, just shitcan 'em. a lot are just leftovers. the stock 3W HVARs ARE the correct color, as you stated. (which is why I used them on the recent Corsair remods) Some of those 250 and 500 pounders MAY be pointing to SF2I Exp1 items. someone had actually started a NEW Banjo while we were working on this, but as everyone can see, it never materialized. Just like the B-45 Tornado (not the DAT one)
  5. seriousily?? it ain't all that hard take a known position of something on the aircraft, like a light or the pilot, place a decal near it. move to position desired. repeat as necessary. one MUST know how to read a data ini, of course
  6. can't load 2 things on the same plyon. if one studies the data ini, I'll bet you'll find those 2 centerline stations share the same station group ID number also, iirc, campaign loadouts may be set in the campaign ini, and therefore be different than single missions

You SHOULD be adding this to a FUll-5 Merged install for proper operation. This mod was built and tested in the SF2NA environment.*** This is a modification to Stephan1918's VERY cool First Eagles cargo ship. This ship has been reflagged for Soviet use. It's operational dates are 1918-2050, so it should cover all time frames. This is very similiar to what I did for the WW2 versions, seen in both the Atlantic and Pacific. This'll add yet another target for Auntie Ship mission. Be advised -- it's bites back! I've given it a 'generic' name as "MV North Star Class Cargo Ship". I've tried to keep it dissimiliar from other Soviet Cargo ships available in other mods (hence the folder being called "SovCargoShip"). As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them. As mentioned above, give the "Notes" section a read too. Happy Sailing! File Name: SF2 WW2 CBI Vickers Wellington Mk.X File Submitter: Wrench File Submitted: 05 July 2014 File Category: Other SF2 WW2 CBI Vickers Wellington Mk.X 7/5/2014 -- Something for the CBI players -- = For SF2, Full-4/5 Merged (Reccomended/Preferred) = *There is a probability that this mod will =NOT= work in SF/Wo* 1stGen game installs, due to the excessive modifications made to fit them into the SF2 environment.* **Note: These aircraft should =ONLY= be used in a seperate CBI-centric mods folder to prevent them from showing up where, historically, they shouldn't. The Aircraft/GroundObject sets for CBI are substantially different from Central or SouthWest Pacific areas. Eventually, I'll get back to it.** This pack contains a modifided/reskinned version of Veltro2K's Wellington for use in the Burma-India Theatre by the RAF. This is the complete aircraft. The unit represented is: No. 99 Sqdn "Madras Presidency" from June 1942 thru September 1944, when they requipped with Liberators. The skin remains in bmp format, and decal rendomization is TRUE. ALL markings are decals. Engine and other sounds are included. Bombs, pilot figures, guns are not; you should have these already. On the Aircraft Selection Drop-down, you'll see Wellington Mk. The source files have been lost, and there can and WILL be no modifications to the physical model. They 'are as they is' and you must accept them with this caveat in mind. 11. shouldn't the F-35 be using the TEWS, not the old style 3-ring?
  12. gonna be a big bang up in Burma!!
  13. nicely done however, all these Mustang packages could have been made CONSIDERABLY smaller by the following: 1) converting ALL skin maps to jpg. there's no need nowadays, and especially with SF2 to use bmp 2) delete the sm_*** skins. those are the specular maps, and are NOT needed for each skin, as the game engine will automatically use those from the Cat files 3) the white on the tail is too bright, I'd have used (and do) 10 or 15% grey, as is not so bright, giving a faded look. even on NM skins, it wouldn't be that stark a white. As these are all 8th AF FGs, it's not a terribly difficult task to match serials to plane-in-group letters. A bit time consuming, yes. But not hard at all. They are all readily available, and can be found here: http://www.littlefriends.co.uk/index.php broken down by fighter group, and within each group, by squadrons. One just needs to scroll through the listings, plane by plane (as many used P-47s, then P-51B/C, then Ds) to find the individual letter required. Then, just make the serial decals. I do it all the time!! 9th AF ones are the problem!!
  14. as there's no OUT file, you'll need to search within the lod with a hex editor. I'd use portugese as the language. I tried 'cockpit' in English, and nothing turned up.
  15. as Fubar said, bump mapping would be impossible on that, as the Lod dates from 2005
  16. not sure how valid these might be (not being a 3D guy in any way, shape or form), but here's a link to the 3rd Wire exporter notes. Don't know if the exporter is included, but there's several people around here that have (may be available from the 3W site) http://combatace.com/files/file/344-3d-studio-max-exporter-notes/ good luck! we NEED new modelers!
  17. Sci Fi Space Ships (all I think)

here's another site for size comparisons http://www.merzo.net/index.html
  18. the C, as the A really didn't see too much 'real' service.
  19. double cockpit, a know issue with converted 1stGen aircraft we even have a post in our (exceedingly disused) Knowledge Base http://combatace.com/topic/58372-the-double-cockpit-issue/ the transparent nose issue looks like a decal problem --- too many on that one mesh. check the decals ini and see if there's more than 4 on that mesh. That, or more likely if you're missing a "fake pilot" add-on, like a modified nose with 'bird slicers' what avionics dll is listed in the main ini? (jas39.ini). In the avionics ini, are the HUD material statements SF2 compliant?
  20. the top, or straighter one for the C/D (according to my photos) don't forget the fixed, pilot fired 50 cal on the righter lower side glass on the D!! :) I forgot to send you the squad/signal in action and walkrounds, did you want them as well?
  21. remember, the way they're listed is ## Squadron ## Group the old packs had it backwards (I had to correct them in my install)
  22. it should say so in the books I sent you. Check your PMs B/C/D had the remote turret from the factory, but a lot had the removed in theatre (especially in the Pacific). No tail turret that I know of until the G, just a glass blister I'll have t locate the Osprey MTO B-25 units book to see if they kept them in the Med. What I'd suggest, is have the lower hull smooth/flat, and have the turret thee, so if it was not used, simple 'remove component' statements could edit it off, and not leave a gaping hole below is how I did it for the DAT B-25B . you can see capon did the hull shape, with no recess for the turret when retracted
