SF2 WW2 ETO, RAF Mitchell Mk. II (B-25C/D) 7/19/2014 -- Something for the WW2 ETO players -- = For SF2 ONLY, Full-5 Merged (Reccomended/Preferred) = A 'nationalization' of Veltro2k's =NEW= B-25C/D recreates the Mitchell Mk.II as use by the RAF in Europe in WW2. There are 2 skin/decals set(s) in the package, both for No 98 Squadron (in standard USAAF finish). They are: 98 (in "normal" clothing) 98_44 (with D-Day Invasion stripes) As seen in Northwestern Europe, from 1943 through the war's end. The skins are in jpg format, The serials are accurate for the version depicted, but should to be considered 'generic' as they represent no particular squadron or aircraft within a particular squadron. All markings are decals, and decal randomization is TRUE. This will make it easy for other texture artists to recreate the other RAF Mitchell units (including Free French, and Free Netherlands). Please note, this mod is supplied with 2 cockpits -- the 'generic' bomber pit, and one with a working bombsight (from the Invader). While not perfect, the bombsight WORKS. To learn how, =PLEASE= read the enclosed PDF. For those not wanting to use the Invader pit, instructions on switching back to the 'generic' one are in the "Notes" section below. No bombs or guns are included; you should have the RAF bombs and all the standard issue machine guns already. Pilot figures and sounds however, are included. In game, on the aircraft selection drop down screen, you'll see: Mitchell Mk.II (v2k) This will make sure you choose the right one (even if there aren't any other RAF Mitchells available). As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. PLEASE read them!!! PLEASE read the "Notes" section for other important notations. Good Hunting!! easily done by just changing decals, my friend!!! (Netherlands is already listed in the user list ini. dates might need adjusting a bit, though) If a blank skin is needed, just ask!! Takes me about 23.9 seconds to generate one! -

SF2 WW2 MTO B-25C/D Mitchell Skin Pak (v2k)
Wrench posted a topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - File Announcements
File Name: SF2 WW2 MTO B-25C/D Mitchell Skin Pak (v2k) File Submitter: Wrench File Submitted: 16 July 2014 File Category: B-25 SF2 WW2 B-25C/D Mitchell, MTO Skin Pak 7/15/2014 (Full 4/5 Merged Reccomended) This pack contains a Theatre Specific skin/decal set for the recently released B-25C/D by Veltro2K. The aircraft is available at the following URL: http://combatace.com/files/file/14905-sf2-ww2-pto-b-25cd-mitchell-pak/ You should install this aircraft FIRST to your MTO-centric mods folder BEFORE installing this pak. Instructions on what files are to be replaced (or overwritten), are in the "To Install" section below. The unit(s) represented herein are: 81st BS 82nd BS Both from the 12th Bomb Group, as seen in Egypt/Libya in mid-late 1942 through 1943 (later in Tunisia). The aircraft is finished in "desert pink" and neutral grey. The insignia is the standard 'star and ball' without the yellow surround. There is one skin, in the main aircraft folder, and it's in jpg format. All markings are decals The serials are 'generic' in nature, as they represent no particular aircraft within these unit, but ARE for the model variant depicted. Decal randomization is set to TRUE. There are NO nose arts. Other texture artists are encouraged to do the research, and create proper artwork decals. "Battle Numbers" for both squadron are 100% correct. New, Theatre Specific Data and loadout inis are included, and these will overwrite/replace those from the orignal release pak, linked above. Any other items included in the original pack, excepting as noted, are reused here. When in game you'll (still) see B-25C/D Mitchell (v2k) This will differentiate this Mitchell from any others you may (or may not) have. As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. PLEASE read them!!! You will either be backing up/renaming some inis, deleting the orignal skins and decals, and applying the items in this kit. You are advised to unzip this package to a temp folder, your desktop or somewhere easily accessed and READ the install instructions BEFORE intalling. Makes things easier, doncha know! REMINDER: this skin pak is =ONLY= for an MTO Centric Mods folder. Happy Landings! Wrench Kevin Stein Click here to download this file -

Hey Lady, Don't I know You?
Wrench replied to Chutedangle's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - World War II Forum
as the files are named the same as stock, it should be a simple drop in. A wav is a wav. you may have to use their Speechsystem.ini, but that's a non issue too (if one has it, of course). Didn't baltika do a British speech pak for 1stGens? Isn't it still here in the SF/Wo* downloads?? Be worth a look. If it don't work, just delete it http://combatace.com/files/file/5533-ww2-raf-speech-pack-v10/ EDIT: this one's better, and has more instructions. Be advise, you WILL be editing the Nations.ini http://combatace.com/files/file/13552-multinational-speech-pack/ -
Possible "Instant Action"?
Wrench replied to Chutedangle's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - World War II Forum
whatever the folder and main ini names are, them's the ones you use and yes, you MUST change EVERY instance of EVERY aircraft in the Instant Action ini to what's in you game install. Explane "size"? AFAIK, that's the number of birds in the formation. -

you do know that Mustangs, even the A and A-36 didn't have machine gun breeches sticking into cockpit, right?? You'll have to edit the cockpit ini to remove them -
