  1. "Better" H version PBJ. (man, we really NEED new Mitchells..and Havocs...) (screenie with fish -- just because it could, doesn't mean it did!) pulling off a burning Maru
  2. Hans means EXTRACTT the namesus.lst from flight.cat, place it in the /Flight folder and yes, it changes the entire pool of names for the US, globally
  3. and... you'll need terrains that are SET with the NA statements, correct _water.bmp and etc
  4. File Name: SF2 WW2 PTO B-24D 319th BS, 1943-44 Skin/Decals Pak File Submitter: Wrench File Submitted: 22 September 2013 File Category: B-24 SF2 WW2 PTO B-24D 319th BS, 1943-44 Skin/Decals Pak 9/15/2013 -- Something for the PTO players -- = For SF2, Full-5 Merged (Reccomended/Preferred) = A new skin for the B-24D Liberator by pasko. This skin represents aircraft of the 319th BS of the 90th BG "Jolly Rogers" in their mid-to-late livery as seen in New Guinea and the Southwest Pacific operations areas, circa 1943 thru 1944. It is designed for use the SF2(ish) B-24D mod, available at the following url: http://combatace.com/files/file/13842-sf2-ww2-b-24d-liberator-eto-mto-pak/ The skin is brand new(ish), from my Home Grown Template ™, and is in jpg format. New serial number decals were created; they should be considered 'generic' in nature, as they don't accurately represent the unit, but DO represent the correct model variant depicted. Decal randomization is set to TRUE. There are NO nose arts. This skin makes use of the Post-Sept 43 "Star-and-Bar" (white outlined). In essence, it's a rebadging of the 42-43 skin already available. This skin uses the "StartDefaultDate" SF2 switch, and will automaticaly turn on in November, 1943. As this skin IS Theatre specific to the Pacific regions, you'll have to do some editing after installing to the B-24D above in your PTO-centric mods folder, and remove or rename the ETO/MTO skins. As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them. Happy Landings! Wrench Kevin Stein Click here to download this file

  6. you can install them and try (carriers that is -- everything else, vehicles, SAMS, etc work just fine) It's my personal belief, based on extensive testing, that without SF2NA, the other 4 exes are lacking the necessary coding for proper carrier operations. Of course, most of us have the Full-5 Merged ™, and in that case, yes they will work. Pretty much as advertised.
  7. did you point the renamed terrain to the VietnamSEA.cat???
  8. now, I'm going to have to re-do everything I did on the OLD model!!! still, thanks Veltro!!! looking good!
  9. MigBuster hopefully will appreciate this.

music from "Blackhawk Down" nice vid!!
  10. yeah, I do. I like the dark dirt around the panel lines. The skull look great (considering none of them were exactly alike). I'll see if I can't find the proper number sequence in my books edit: 80th FG, 10th AF (name: Burma Banshees) 88th FS - 10-39 89th FS - 40-69 90th FS - 70-99 459th FS - 100-127 (P-38) white tail numbers damn thing doesn't list the spinner colors, so the basic (as used in New Guinea) (reads :WAG) 1st sqdn, red 2nd sqdn, yellow 3rd sqdn, green ------- screenie: Marine PBJ's looking for trouble off the South China Coast
  11. on OD aircraft, the numbers would be yellow (-- closest match is RLM Gelb. RGB values 228/164/0) on natural metal, black each squadron in the group had a number sequence and often a color assigned; so, knowing WHICH squadron from what group would allow you to find out (with proper reference material, that is.) so, tell me, what squadron, what group, and I'll look it up
  12. and the Vietnam map! (can't help to recognize those tiles!!)
  13. be perfect for the late war scenairos of the reduction of Formasa, (fast carrier raids). unfortunately, it uses the BN series tiles, and will need a complete makeover, like New Guinea got, to use the VietnamSEA tiles. Plenty of room for CV stations, too, it looks like. Clark, Lingyan and all the little strips in north Luzon are all easily accessable (with the limits of The Wall). Don't expect it this year, though
  14. well, in doing research last night -in trying to run down the locations of the major ww2 airbases both on the mainland and Formosa, came across a Gen-u-wine US Navy 1944/45 booklet on "Air Target Maps and Photos - China Coast Ningpo to Canton" this is a sample of one of the charts. this is the main 'overview' chart. there are details charts that are unbelievable!! -- right down to 'known' AA locations!! looks like i got a job of work to do.... (and yes, Hong Kong, Macau and Canton ARE on the map)
  15. Problem?

in options ini, change ObjectFade=TRUE to ObjectFade=FALSE
  16. File Name: Douglas AC-47 "Spooky" Gunship for SF2 - Ver.2 File Submitter: Wrench File Submitted: 24 May 2012 File Category: Other Douglas AC-47 "Spooky" Gunship -Version 2.0 = For SF2, Full-4/5 Merged, Plus Expansion Pak 1 = *Designed with SF2:V in mind* *Note: You =MUST= have Expansion Pak 1 to access the C-47 lods. If you don't have it, do =NOT= download this mod, as you'll be unable to use it* MANY modifications to the stock C-47 Skytrain, create the AC-47 "Spooky" gunship for your SouthEast Asian flying enjoyment. A new skin, using my Home-Grown Template ™, and enhancements by paulopanz, give it a passble SEA 3-Tone. All markings are decals, and are 100% historically correct for the 3rd SOS. Markings for 18 aircraft are included, and decal randomization is set to TRUE. The miniguns are supplied as a weapon, but exist 'virtually' in the aircraft body (no physical lod). "Parachute" illuminator flares are also supplied for those pesky night interdiction missions. An SF2 version of my original 'boxart' hangar screen is included. As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. Please read them! Also, PLEASE read the "Notes" section -- vital information in there that might assist you in playing this aircraft (pylon turns are a PAIN!!). Good Hunting! wrench kevin stein New for Version 2.0: Miniguns NOW included in pack; no need for a separate download Readmes from both are included in the main zip Click here to download this file
  17. won't work without the TFD and HFD for the terrain folder, gents.
  18. like I said above, all DX9 related. how interesting; that's an awfully large part!!
  19. running out of texture memory, maybe?? or XP and DX9 (more likely, as the lod is prolly built in max 2009, in Unicode with sf2 DX10 shaders and such??)

SF2 USAF/NATO/Western Cargo Planes by Veltro2K -For SF2, Any and All- This is a re-release of these aircraft, as some have stated a desire to have them again. This pak includes all my reskins, decals, ini tweeks, etc, from the various "upgrade paks" I'd released before the aircraft were disappeared. This pak contains =ONLY= those aircraft used by the USAF, our Allies and other NATO powers. The Soviet/Warsaw Pact transports are someplace else.... Included in this pack are: C-141A Starlifer C-141B Starlifter C-5A Galaxy C-17 Globemaster III G-222 Spartan (called such in USAF service) Some may be more complete than others, with regards to decals and such. Some are fairly 'untouched', and will need further decaling, etc. Some hangar and loading screens are NOT in SF2 format, and will need redoing (meaning: I never got around to them!). All the original readmes from the Upgrade Paks (I could find!) are included within this main folder. I'd reccomend reading them, just for fun! Skin and some decal templates (again, when I could find them!) are included. The decal template is for the "ttag" decal, that is for USAF AMC usage. This pak is quite large, as the skins remain in their bmp format. You can convert to jpg at you convience. As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. PLEASE read them!!! PLEASE read the "Notes" section for other important notations. Also, the Legal Statement has been changed with regards to these aircraft. For those that still have the original releases, you may not need to reapply this package. But, to be safe, PLEASE check over your aircraft to be sure. Thank You :). **These aircraft herein are re-released in "AS IS" Condition. There are/may be some issues with the LODs that may not/cannot be resolved. Any and all issues/problems that cannot be solved via ini edits will exist forever, as new models are unlikely to be created. For now.** Happy Landings! wrench kevin stein *note: C-5 Galaxy not shown in attached screenshots*
  21. Yes. You can put them into either the /Flight folder or individual aircraft folders. that is NOT the most recent one; I haven't updated them for the new ships radars from WBS's latest ships (or actually, not updated for 2+ years!!)
