May Patch?
Wrench replied to usafphantom2's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - World War II Forum
truth be told, it's messing more that it (seems) to fix (see stickied thread about the landing gears and such, and the thread over at the DAT site) OTH, you can't install DLC 28 (F-104A/C, S-99/S-199) without it. "just when you thought It was safe to go back to modding" (to paraphrase the "Jaws" advert...) oh well, we adapt and evolve; we hope! -
File Name: SF2 WW2 MTO Bristol Beaufighter Mk.VIF (NF) USAAF (DAT) File Submitter: Wrench File Submitted: 06 June 2013 File Category: Other SF2 WW2 MTO Bristol Beaufighter Mk.VIF (NF) USAAF (DAT) = For SF2 (Full4/5 Merged RECCOMENDED!) **This mod -MAY- work in 1stGen game installs. But this has not/cannot be tested by me.** This pak contains mods for the Dev A-Teams Bristol Beaufighter, that recreate the Mk.VIF Night Fighter/Intruder as used by the US Army Air Force in the MTO. This is a semi-complete aircraft mod, and as per DAT directives, the aircraft lod is =NOT= included. So, those users that cannot access the DAT downloads, you're advised to skip this, as it's of no use to you. Everything else is included (pretty much!). Those users with access, =WILL= be transfering the lod from a seperate DAT download of the Beaufighter Mk.10. This mod has been built and tested with the BeaufighterMk10_R8.LOD (dated 7/19/2005) from their WW2 Aircraft Downloads section. You WILL need THAT lod to copy/paste into THIS aircraft's folder. This pacakge contains 1 (almost) complete aircraft. This is the late mark VIF, with the 'thimble nose' for the AI MK.VIII radar The skin depicts aircraft from the 414th NFS, as seen in the Western Med (Tunisia) and Italy from 1943 onwards. This is a 'nationalized' aircraft, for American use only. Therefor, exportation is FALSE, and no userlist is supplied. The skins are completly new, from my Home Grown Template , and remains in bmp format. New decals were created for serials, plane-in-group numbers. The serials are 'generic' in nature, as they represent no particular aircraft within the unit(s) depicted, but ARE for the model variant represented. The Squadron Crest/Patch is used for the 'paint chip' on the loadout screen. All national markings are painted on. Decal randomization is set to TRUE. Hangar and/or Loading screens were either rebuilt to SF2-spec, or created new for this package. They are in jpg format, and fit SF2 styling. Damage textures are new, in DDS format. The FM, based off the Beaufighter in the Wings Over Africa , may need further small adjustments. As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. PLEASE read them!!! All the original DAT readmes are included, for historical and ownership/copyright purposes. It is HIGHLY suggested you unzip this archive, and READ the install instructions BEFORE installing this mod. So you know EXACTLY what to do.. reorganizing the SF2 Download section?
Wrench replied to Soulfreak's topic in Site Support / Bug Reports / Suggestions
to do it, one needs to be Admin or Staff (moderators) with rights to do so; similar to what I did when Erik gave us the WW2 downloads section. And believe me, that took me 3 days to get stuff transferred over, and I still think I may have missed an upload or three. I agree it DOES need to be done, but I for one won't put that extra load on The Boss. Hopefully, at a future date we can. -

March 2013 patch issue - WW2 aircraft
Wrench replied to bubu's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
yes, it doing it to f***loads of them...some more so than others we have 300-400 individual models to run down as to why...don't expect anything soon so, perhaps listing WHICH do so would be of assistence to 2 or 3 people modding ww2 stuff.... to say nothing of 2 of my terrains that no longer work, that did BEFORE the patch (Hawaii and Midway) -

New DLC - AI Plane Pack
Wrench replied to Spinners's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
100% paki serials in the downlloads section. we did them for the Indo-Pak mod. Should be RJAF in the d/ls too. looking good Nigel!! carlo: warpaint #43, eh??? === 104 AI Pak: good idea guys, might be just the thing to pull me out of my downer mood (the dat release of their pto mod really kinda did me in a bit). Want to make sure the pit positioning is corret, and so forth. won't be able to include the pit, of course, and the hangar screen will be the 1stGen converted to SF2 (that's been out for a while). However, it's a natuaral metal skined one .. might look funny on the SEA camo versions and don't forget, I always edit the loadout ini to give tanks on ALL A-A mission tasking (short legs on the bird and all) thoughts? -
