  1. yah, I know there's buttloads of MAJOR differences...but you all know how I hate wasting good decals! even though it's really the 3W F8, would you all "accept" it as a stand in for the F3? Something to conted with them German jets (like what we have, and the sometime-in-the-near-future veltro's 262) Because, honestly, that one that's "available" now is ... not to put too fine a point on it...unfixable (without a completly new lod)
  2. i should say so... looks MUCH better than the original. (VT-8, Midway)
  3. File Name: SF2 WW2 ETO Spitfire 9c, 341 Squadron Skin Pak File Submitter: Wrench File Submitted: 27 May 2013 File Category: Spitfire SF2 WW2 ETO Spitfire 9c, 341 Squadron Skin Pak -- Something for the WW2 ETO players -- = For SF2 ONLY, Full-5 Merged + Expansion Pak 2 (Reccomended/Preferred) = **SF2:E Expansion Pak 2 =REQUIRED= to have the Spitfire 9c** A reskinning of the stock 3W Spit 9c to 341 Squadron, FFAF (aka: GC III/4 Alsace) during WW2 in Western Europe. Skins remain in their 'lorez' 512 size, and are still in bmp format. Decal randomization is set to TRUE. All marking on the aircraft are decals. This will make it exceptionally easy for skinners to create other RAF squadrons of this time period. For those with historical tendencies, this is the squadron that Pierre Clostermann served with. As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them. Also, give the "Notes" section a read too. 5. File Name: SF2 WW2 DH TigerMoth by RussoUK File Submitter: Wrench File Submitted: 26 May 2013 File Category: Other SF2 WW2 DH TigerMoth by RussoUK -- Something for Anyone -- = For SF2 ONLY, Full-5 Merged (Reccomended/Preferred) = A new version of the DH Tigermoth, as seen in WW2 and the immeadiate post-war time frames. This version now has (at no extra charge!!) bump mapping! There are 2 lods included; the one set for use now has more subtle bumpping; the other a bit LESS subtle. 2 skins are inlucded, slightly revamped (read: partly repainted), and now with individual Plane-in-group numbers/letters and serial number decals for: "Camo": standard RAF day trainer scheme (I guess!); darkearth/green/yellow unders "Silver": post-war, silver doped, from University of London Air School (iirc) Most of the markings are painted on, with the exception of the Silver skin. All decals positions have been plotted, which will make it easier for End Users that wish to, to create other countries markings. A new Userlist.ini is included (for the most popular users, not all are listed). An SF2 version of my original 'box art' hangar is included, in jpg format. The partial template is also included. It's in the main aircraft folder for other skinners to 'have at it'. This will give your fledgling flyers something to practice in. And it's a nice change to just buzz around the countryside with, every once and a while. **Note: this version is designed to REPLACE any/all previous versions!!** As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them. Also, give the "Notes" section a read too. Happy Landings!! wrench kevin stein with many thanks to Russ!! Edit: new version uploaded. The "Lewis Gun" now has the textures that were missing before Click here to download this file

  8. yup, T-6s (aka "The Hollywood Zero") we get them all the time where I am; they sometimes from fly Santa Monica Airport (1/2 mile west of me!). you can always tell by that sound -- that radial is very distinctive. I LOVE it!!
  9. heheh heehe... he said 'head'...hehe hehe (sorry, couldn't resist!!)
  10. if you can't upload pics, try cleaning out your attachments... go to "My Profile", and find the "manage attachments" tab, and delete from teh oldest forward
  11. without the MAX file (and a 3d guru that has time to fix it....) it'd be very diffucult. I know I went through all the shadow lods, and never could. for now, I guess, just turn off the shadow in the main ini i seem to recall paulopanz working a bunch of RAAF Sabre skins, but can't find them either!! *Zur, if you're watching .... don't suppose you have the max files around still???**
  12. For Memorial Day

  18. that's ok ... I spent half the day updating all my PTO TBF/TBM to their latest lod; converting all MY skins to dds, correcting loadouts and avionics....what a mess!!! the dual cockpit issue is the easiest of the fixes [Fuselage] ShowFromCockpit=FALSE (assuming it's in the right place to start with....)
  19. no need to use the wepeditor. just have a seperate data ini for the f5w, and it's main ini, etc all in it's own named folder the best thing about sf2 -- ease of weapons creation!! looks good Ed!! i'd replace the nose facis (the axe thingy) with a decal -- be much sharper, visually
  20. why not just create a Neuport 11 sub folder in you /Decals folder and should (another one of those words!!) do it. won't have to edit the pathway in that case /Objects //Decals //Neuport/11 //D
  21. it's also for Wo* 1stGens; it can be used in sf2,but expect multitudes of ini work to get the planes tweeked.
  22. funny how everything works on the one did...hmmmmm
  23. use the brit mk Xii maybe??? drp the lod and bmp (whick might need repainting for USN), edit the weapon's data ini, and that should work
