  2. File Name: SF2 WW2 ETO Targets Fixit File Submitter: Wrench File Submitted: 10 May 2013 File Category: SF2 Series Add On Terrains Targets Fix-It for WW2 ETO Terrain (aka: EAW Euro) I recently discovered a few airfields that had 'snuck under the contractors radar', and needed a face lift. These are a few that, somehow, I missed upgrading. Given the scope and size of the terrain; it was to be expected. Also fixed the facing of a few items that goin the wrong way! This is what happens when you go with the lowest bidder.... Install instructions: unzip the EuroWW2_Targets.ini.zip to whereever you want, and just drop it into the EuroWW2 terrain folder. Allow the overwrite. Enjoy! wrench kevin stein Click here to download this file

  4. File Name: SF2 WW2 ETO A-20G Pak (DAT) File Submitter: Wrench File Submitted: 10 May 2013 File Category: Other SF2 WW2 ETO A-20G Pak (DAT) = For SF2 (Full4/5 Merged RECCOMENDED!) **This mod -MAY- work in 1stGen game installs. But this has not/cannot be tested by me. ** This pak contains mods for the Dev A-Teams A-20G Havoc light attack bomber, as seen in Western Europe (ETO) from 1943 through War's End. This is a semi-complete aircraft mod, as per DAT directives, the aircraft lod is =NOT= included. So, those users that cannot access the DAT downloads, you're advised to skip this, as it's of no use to you. Everything else, minus guns and bombs, is included. Those users with access, will be transfering the lod from from a seperate DAT download of the A-20G. This mod has been built and tested with the A-20_Havoc-R4.LOD, dated 10/21/2005 from their WW2 Aircraft Downloads section. You =WILL= need that, to copy/paste into THIS aircraft's folder. The skins from my Home Grown Template ™, and remain in their bmp format. New decals were created as needed for serials, plane-in-group letters and others. The serials are 'generic' in nature, as they represent no particular aircraft within the units depicted, but ARE for the model variant represented. Weapons (bombs) and guns are NOT included; you should have them already. The skins included herein are, "new builds" that were previously unreleased anywhere. They are: 645th Bomb Squadron, 410th Bomb Group (7X) 646th Bomb Squadron, 410th Bomb Group (8U) I chose the 410th BG, as they used their Havocs from later 43 until the war's end. They had started converting to A-26, but never fully converted by May 45. All markings are decals, and decal randomization is set to TRUE. All the 1stGen Hangar and Loading screens were either rebuilt to SF2-spec, or created new for this package. They are in jpg format. Damage textures are new, in DDS format. Various inis may make use of the 'hide component' or the 'open cockpit' statements to make sure the cockpits are where they're supposed to be. This may prevent them for working in 1stGens at any patch level. 1st Gen End Users ™ can experiment on their own. The Canopy (ok, cockpit hatch) has been switched to the Standard Animation Keystroke ™, Shift/0. The FM, while far better than the 2005 release, may need further small adjustments. But it flys fine for me! :) As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. PLEASE read them!!! Happy Landings! wrench kevin stein Click here to download this file
  5. i, too, vote for formation ini
  6. AD-4W

i was thinking the same thing with I say "2048"!!! remember, as it has NO guns, there's no need for gun stains. a Radar Picket bird only; no offensive capabilites, and little defensize (low power jammer) good job on the prop!!
  7. like any other weapon they need to be in the main /Weapons folder. the 75 gal mustang tank is the closest we have for the Mk V and later. I even use it on the stcok 3W Mk 9s 108 is too big. the actual spt drop tank ran around 44-50 gallons. not counting the conformal 'ferry' tank of 130 imp gals. many picture on the net, if one wants to hunt around
  8. for the TMF produced Spit? I don't know if we have the Max file for that one....but I'll look (then, it just getting a 3d Guru to tweek it if needed...oi!)
  9. the tanks are named for what they fit (for the most part) and will be listed in the data ini for that hardpoint, and the loadout ini for Escort and/or Recon
  10. a contidional no.... but a yes some cases ... using LimitedNations=TRUE, only have 2 nations (1 for each side) for that terrain. even on the IsrealME map, that uses a "locations.bmp" to define what nation is where, you can still have Jordanian or Syrian aircraft flying from Egyptian bases (and verse visea) overall, however, the answer would prolly be a no
  11. were 303s (4 to be exact, same placement on AAF A-20/A/B/C and Ada DB7s, excepthing they were French 7.5mm) Solid nosed Gs carried 4 20mms at the start (for like maybe 6 weeks) before they were swapped out for 50 cals due to vibration/feed/and other reliabitly issues. AND they carried 2 50 cals in the side blisters
  12. aaaahhh........yeah... here's a great idea: don't mix and match their stuff with mine, expecially terrains.
  13. swwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeetttttttttt!!! love tha martime blue scheme!
  14. oipps fogot.. the short list goes eomthing like this: A-20G (almost ready!) (by inference, Boston IV -- have to start fresh on that) Beaufort Beau 1 Beau NF 1 Beau 10 Beau TFX Beau 6 (maybe - need to do more research on it) btw, does anyone have a ACCURATE round count for the 20mm and 303s?? I did a "WAG" and gave them 60 rpg 20mm 375 rgp 303 cal
  15. as to screens, I just use the set of generic SF2s I made some years ago (templates are in the Tools/Utilites section of the SF2 dowloads) if you want a main screen -albeit not the best-, you can use this jpg. Since SF2 uses jpg for its menu screens... aces: have you tested those downloads? cause they ain't working, brother! one of the advantages of being able to make one's OWN templates ... good news is they'll all stay in bmp format, so usable in either series. however, some of ini work (avionics, decal randomization, destroyed models and some FM parameters) won't be available in SF/Wo*. Expecially the NA statements for (cruisemissile) torps and other oddball stuff
  16. usually it's just a simple edit of the boats data ini; you have to bring it up to SF2 NA standards, as per the stock CVs (and paulo is a wiz at locating and adding the parking slots!)
  17. shorten = only in MAX, by editing the polys of the mexh remove -= simple data ini edit using 'remove component trick' honestly, that's such piddly bulls**t, I wouldn't even worry about it
  18. Runway 1, 5, 6 = Medium. Length 2500m Runway 2 = Medium (but small medium). Lenght 2500m (but it don't look quite that long in game) Runway 4 = Large. Length 3000 (but it looks bigger) Runway 3 = Small. Length 1200m it may also go by how many squadrons can be based there Runway 1,5,6 = 3 sqds Runway2 = 1 Runway3 = 1 Runway 4 = 6 that's right form the stock airfield ini and targets inis
  19. absosuetly!! in fact, to get the proper terrain effects, you have to change it from teh old 1stGen styel to SF2 style http://combatace.com/topic/54856-converting-sfwo-terrains-to-sf2-usage/
  20. File Name: SF2 WW2 ETO F-5B Recon Lightning Pak File Submitter: Wrench File Submitted: 07 May 2013 File Category: P-38 SF2 WW2 ETO F-5B Recon Lightning Pak -- Something for the WW2 ETO players -- = For SF2 ONLY, Full-5 Merged (Reccomended/Preferred) = Mods to Wolf257's P-38J recreate the F-5B "Photo Lightning" as used in the ETO. This is a FULL aircraft pak, with all the trimmings. This pack conatains one USAAF F-5B, finished in "PRU Mauve" representing the 162nd Photo Recon Squadron, based in the UK. The skin is in jpg format, and decal randomization is set to TRUE, for the 6 serials I've given you. Like my other Lightning mods, several changes have been effected, they are listed in the 'ChangeLog', in the "Notes" section. Weapons (ok, drop tanks), pilot figures are included, and a NEW engine engine sound. A New SF2 style Hangar screen in included. As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them. Wolfs original readmes, when discoverable, are included for historical purposes. Also, give the "Notes" section a read too. "Get the Pictures"!! wrench kevin stein Click here to download this file
  21. if there's anything you want to use out of mine, PLEASE feel free to do so!!! (forgot to mention, ghostrider883 -Sandesh- and iirc, paulo were part of that mod too!) coupi, hows the 262 coming along?? and don't forget to check out Bordeaux on the new WW2 Eruo map!! heheheheheheee
  22. Russ, that's the SoCal (Southern California) terrain I'm really liking the new look!
  23. i seem to recall having done these already, for the Indo/Pak mod, over a year ago http://combatace.com/files/file/13175-mirage-iii-pakistani-air-force-pak/
  24. yes weapons editor (or even via standard text edit of the missiles data ini of one knows the parameters) but DOUBLE and TRIPLE check what's already there with known RELIABLE sources ... cause most of what we got is pretty accurate
