  1. that very question was asked by me almost 2 years ago.... we're still waiting
  2. in the West... i know most JGs had a specialized Jabo staffel, but would they have been marked the same? Meaning with the yellow cowl/tails like the others? Or with more subdued markings without the yellow ID?? been fiddlling with Russ's 109E-7, and trying to figure out what to paint it... be something fun for you all to have in 40/41-ish for cross-Channel raiding on the new terrain
  3. File Name: SF2 WW2 ETO Bf-109E-7 Jabo by RussoUK File Submitter: Wrench File Submitted: 02 May 2013 File Category: BF-109 SF2 WW2 ETO Bf-109E-7 Jabo by RussoUK -- Something for the WW2 ETO players -- = For SF2, Full-5 Merged (Reccomended/Preferred) = *This mod may =NOT= work in SF/Wo* 1stGen game installs at any patch level, due to the excessive modifications made to fit them into the SF2 environment. Those that wish to try, do so at their own risk.* This is a complete aircraft with (just) about all the fixings... This mod represents Bf-109E-7s in the West (France based) during the 1940-41 time frame. The skin/decals are "representative" of 6(S)LG2 Jabo. The skin is in jpg format, and decal randomization is TRUE. Unlike most Luftwaffe JGs, the ground attack units (Schlachtgruppen) used letters instead of numbers. You have 18 letters. Included are Sounds, weapons, in this case the AB-50 Frag/Cluster unit (minus standard LW bombs -which you should already have, along with the Guns), the ETC50 4-bomb MER, the drop tank and pilot figure, as well as new SF2 style hangar and loading screens (in jpg format) The canopy operates on the standard animation keystroke ™ Shift/0. As always, fairly easy to follow, highly detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them. Also, give the "Notes" section a read too. Full credits are listed below the Notes. 4. the new features are frakking amazing!! As it was, it's been saving me hours of moving stuff (showing WHERE retiling is necessary). with the referesh view, that really helps!
  5. from the 1stGen KB, maybe of some help?? http://combatace.com/topic/25948-alternative-tornado-sidewinder-stations/

  7. SAAF squadrons, for all intents and puposes, should be considered RAF http://www.rafweb.org/
  8. with ETC50 mer this is coming along very nicely..
  9. the EAW Euro semi-overhaul is proceeding apace. However, it WILL still use the "BN" series tiles. At some point in the future I DO plan to remake it completley with the stock germany tiles, so stary's 4 seasons can be used. But that is an exceedingly long term project so, just to give you a taste of what comeing...here be some screenie test shots of various places...(hud debug is on, so you see 'where' also, lets see how good some of you are at iding 'types' of bridges, and WHY it has over-tall vertical supports edit: also, in the UK, you can go as far north as York

  12. (gives sigh of relief) yes, the 'big' Easter Egg is still there. I placed it purposfully for Fubar; sort of a joke between me and Ed
  13. forgot the screenie!! rather generic, markingwise. what's amazing to me, is the age of the model, and it holds up so perfecly well in SF2 great job Russ!!
  14. also, reccomend changing SecondaryChance= to 100. you get more smoke that way!! <g>
  15. was looking at the very same model!! i think that one's Eastern Front
  16. are my Easter Eggs still intact? I forgot to look....
  17. isn't the MK. V Bisley just a Mk.IV Blenheim built in Canada??? the DAT already has a Battle out, for many years
  18. back in the day, even as far as the 08 patch, EACH terrain could have specific environmental statements (ie: evriosys inis). They're no longer needed. Or, as the case may be since all the shaders are locked away, only "global" enviro ini are required. to the best of my knowledge have you checked the stock terrains, to see if Stary's tgas are showing? more than likely, they will be, as when placed in the /Flight folder they no become 'global' in usage ps: you wasted a download of the EAW Euro ... the revamped version goes up sometime this coming week. you'll be deleting the old one completely
  19. ready on the cat.. stand by to launch aircraft...
  20. what really frosts me, is I wrote the damn thing!!! and still couldn't find it!!!
  21. umm....hasn't this been discussed already?? my brother, there's a post in the KB about switching from that outdated crappy automatic speed to manual keystroke. give me a minuite to find the link edit: can't find the frakking link... anyway ... do this: replace this: [Canopy] SystemType=HIGHLIFT_DEVICE DeploymentMethod=AUTOMATIC_SPEED Setting[1].Angle=30.0 Setting[1].DeployValue=15.0 Setting[1].RetractValue=10.0 MaxDeflection=30.0 MinDeflection=0.0 ControlRate=0.3 AnimationID=5 with this: [Canopy] SystemType=ANIMATION InputName=ANIMATION_10 DeploymentMethod=MANUAL AnimationTime=4.0 AnimationID=5 you'll use Shfit/0 to activate it, so make sure you animation keys are set up in the /Controls section
  22. I wish we could get Major Lee's tutorials back... oth, are you REALLY sure you want to get involved in the TE??? Trust me on this...
  23. just so everyone knows, I have the new lod from Russ. Other than non-folding wings, its great!! (I'm sure that'll come later) Right after I finish the WW2 EAW Euro terrain, I'll be concentrating fully on it for however long it takes ('2 Weeks") to finalize it I'll be trying to adapt the KAW Sabre FMs to it, and unfortunately I"ll be having to remake a number of decals, as there are some sizing issues. Repositioning those a "bit off" is super easy what I will NOT be doing is creating new skins off Volker's Hi-Rez Sabre templates. So, you'll be geting a myth-mash of jpg and maybe even bmp skins. Hopefully, I'll just take the Lazy Man's Way ™ and convert the bmps to jpgs.
