SF2 WW2 Hawker Hurricane IIB (ETO), by Raven -- Something for the WW2 ETO players -- = For SF2, Full-5 Merged (Reccomended/Preferred) = *There is a distinct possibility that this mod will work in SF/Wo* 1stGen game installs. However, due to some of the modifications made to fit them into the SF2 environment (read: data ini/cockpit tweeks, destroyed model, decal randomization, etc), all the features will =NOT= be working as designed.* Some modificationa, tweeks, reskins and so forth for Raven's excellent Hurricane Mk.IIB (12 gun variant), create an SF2-ish version. (although it needed very little work!!). This mod represents ETO based Mk.IIBs. I'm treating this mark as the "Hurri-bomber" (sorta!). Note: this is a COMPLETE aircraft mod, with all the bits and bobs included. Originially, I'd planned ONLY for a smaller package with just the inis, skins and such, but chose to do a full release (because I'm lazy). If you already have the IIB in your ETO mods folder, it's suggested that you either delete it or rename the folder so the Game Engine don't see it. Overall, the changes are fairly small. 1 new skin, and a slight revamp of the originial, from Raven's template, and bunches of new decals. Included are skins for: No. 175 Squadron (original skin) No. 174 Squadron "Mauritius" (new skin) As seen post-1941ish. Each skin has the squadron crest as the paint chip, as seen on the Loadout Screen. All new Squadron Codes, Plane-in-Group Letters and serial numbers were created. Decal randomization is TRUE. Both use a "pool" of serial number and plane-in-group letter decals. Serials, while correct for this mark, represent no particular squadron usage, and should be considered 'generic' in nature. Cockpit mods replace the gunsight, and the loadout has been slightly adjusted. Weapons included are just the drop tank, converted to SF2 weapons format. Guns and bombs are NOT included; these you should have already. The engine now uses the AvHistory Merlin sound (included). Canopy opens with the Standard Animation Keystroke ™, Shift/0. The skins remain in their bmp format. A new SF2 "photograph" style hangar screen is included. When 'in game', you'll see "Hurricane Mk.IIB (Raven)" on the drop down menu. This will differentiate it from any other Hurri IIBs you may (or may not) have. As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. So, please =READ= them =BEFORE= installing this mod!!!. Also, give the "Notes" section a read too. It contains the Change List. With MANY Thanks To Raven for this bird!!! Happy Hunting! wrench kevin stein
  4. honestly, I hadn't given it any thought!! wasn't Paulo planning "korean era" ones sometime back? (he sent me a fixed cockpit, and I hope he uploads it!!)

  6. chek the sf2 d/ls -- i uploaded it today.
  7. I was gonna ask the shadows!! Thank you Zur (The Great and Powerful!)
  8. post decals ini ... I can gurantee there's a pathway and/or DecalMaxLod problem why not just download my PTO Superforts?? Everything works there (and they're historically accurate, to boot) we never did update the post-war skins for KAW as they're AI only, it didn't really matter
  9. you mean like the box art on the old Revell 1/72 scale model? never did it. maybe if we get a new freeware Havoc....I'll attempt it A-20A.... this one? 59th BS, Hickam AB 12/1941
  10. remember, Level=1 are 'squadron marking' decals (meaing: that squadron MUST be listed in the game's squadronlist.ini). Or, if not, can be changed to Level=0 for single skin usage. There's always my 'fake SqTail.tga" we use in SF2, that'll activate the squdron display on the loadout screen ever since the 08 patch for 1stGen, and all '2' series, you need teh full pathway for decals AND the MaxDecalLod= line, too.
  11. rewrite the decals ini, adding one at a time? white usually means too many decals on the mesh, or defective tgas (alpha channel issues)
  12. don't forget, i uploaded my craptastic template WITH the Defiant, so ... a simple matter for others to reskin

  14. RATS!!! looks like czarny beat me ... at least at posting. had the skin done a couple of hours ago.
  15. isn't that Chinese territory? and 'out of bounds' during the war? looking at the terrain, the city of Haikou is the wrong place .. as a port, it should be on the northern coast, split by a river (which is also missing) the International AP (Haikou Meilan) could be fairly easily added; after retiling to 'cleared' airfield zone tiles but you're literally at the edge of The Wall. And since the March or May or April or June 2012 patches ... we can't cant adjust it anymore (thanks a LOT for that one...) approx coordinates 790938, 719624
  16. ohhhh from your mouth to G*d's ear!!!! i wonder how that works ... I'm building it so we can blow it up!! (like a family friend, who was a CE at Fort Lewis, WA. They built bridges for a war game exercise, and 4 days later blew them up!!)
  17. considering they built Havoc/Bostons less than 1/2 mile west of where I'm sitting.... always had an afinity for Douglas Aircraft I'll take your Definant NF request under advisement.Looks like a Free Polish squadron.. ... still busy rebuilding Europe (and the more I fix, the more I find NEEDS fixing...) didn't the DAT issue a ROC??
  18. and useful for running down aliens in LA http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NoSoKK7eBwI
