Missing targets & airbase for Korea Air War Campaign
Wrench replied to hotrodss's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
nope, that's what I wanted to see. the other terrain cats are listed in MY version, cause when I do terrains, I make sure End Users can access all the terrain objects in any of the base 3 original cats. now the next questions: do you have SFP1, where the desert cat is. Without it, you'll have no terrain objects. also, what are the names of the various _airfiled inis??? -

in other words, 'help a brudda out' what I need from our 3d guys, is actually quite simple I need the 'bow and arrow' diapole antenna as seen in the profile below. mind you, the NF.IIs did have other reciever/transmitter antennas on the wings (8 in total), but I think we might be able to live without them (as measuring the exact distances to the mid-wing and wingtips might be diffucult) a simple lod, that I can add via fake pilot. the rest I'll reuse from the NF XII thanks! -

up to my friend! it works fine as is!!! (I REALLLY thank you!) using it 3 times was super easy to add as 'seats' for the fake pilot if you realy want something to do....after you finish the P-40, you want to finish an F6F-5 Hellcat (and maybe make a -3 from it?)? Got it from Zur (the Great and Powerful); already mapped and animated for SF. even has a skin. Just hasn't been exported to LOD no hurry on answering.... (ain't I a stinker??? ) anyway, here are the 'seat' position from nose and both wing mounts [RadarAnt1] SystemType=PILOT_COCKPIT PilotModelName=FakePilot Position=0,0,0 SeatModelName=NF2Ant SeatPosition=7.05,0.03,0.42 SeatID=3 [RadarAnt2] SystemType=PILOT_COCKPIT PilotModelName=FakePilot Position=0,0,0 SeatModelName=NF2Ant SeatPosition=-7.05,0.03,0.42 SeatID=4 [RadarAnt3] SystemType=PILOT_COCKPIT PilotModelName=FakePilot Position=0,0,0 SeatModelName=NF2Ant SeatPosition=0.0,3.60,-0.28 SeatID=5 ant 3 is the nose (obviously!). Only if you to! We want the P-40!! -

SF2 Prop Wish List
Wrench replied to daddyairplanes's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - World War II Forum
the basic issue with 'turret fighters', is the game engine has no way of know the turret guns are OFFENSIVE; the game engine sees turrets as a purely defensive device; and they don't even return fire on pursuing/attacking fighters let alone engage bombers. this is why the door gunners on Huey's sit there like dumbs**ts while the VC shoots the helo full of holes. -

SF2 WW2 ETO Spitfire 1A, 603 Squadron Skin Pak
Wrench posted a topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - File Announcements
File Name: SF2 WW2 ETO Spitfire 1A, 603 Squadron Skin Pak File Submitter: Wrench File Submitted: 05 April 2013 File Category: Spitfire SF2 WW2 ETO Spitfire 1A, 603 Squadron Skin Pak -- Something for the WW2 ETO players -- = For SF2 ONLY, Full-5 Merged (Reccomended/Preferred) = A new skin for the TMF/ModMafia Spitfire Mk.1A, representing 603 "City of Edinburgh" Squadron around the time of the Battle of Britain. Like the original release of the TMF/MM Spit 1, it uses a pool of plane-in-group letters and serial numbers, so you MUST have to original release of the TMF/MM Spitfire Mk.1a to apply this pack to. The only thing different is the squadron code decal, XT. If you don't have this Spitfire, it's available at the following url: http://combatace.com/files/file/13510-sf2-ww2-spitfire-mk1a-by-mod-mafiatmf/ The skin is in jpg format, Decal Randomization is TRUE. As always, fairly easy to follow, detailed install instructions are included. So, please READ them REMINDER: this is for the TMF/MM Spit 1 ONLY!!! Happy Landings!! wrench kevin stein Click here to download this file- 1 reply

How can I add a hunch pack to an A4?
Wrench replied to Stratos's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Mods & Skinning Discussion
you mean like the A-4L and E(Late) again, look in the downloads section. we've been using the add on humps since ~2006. Over the last couple of years, they've been switched from my 'hump as 0 strength jammer' added as weapon station, to added via fake pilot. -

Wrench replied to daddyairplanes's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - World War II Forum
if you all REALLY want that Defiant, I'll upload it. HOWEVER.... like I've said before, it's utterly useless (and this is NO reflection on veltro2k!) as it don't engage enemy A/C at all!!! Even when they're sitting on your ass shooting you full of holes!! and the new skin I did for it has a few issues ... like I can't figure out the 'parting line' for the fueselage camo to sky unders correctly, so the skin is NOT up to anyones standards, let alone mine!!! -

Opinion needed....
Wrench posted a topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - World War II Forum
ok, here's the basic layout for Saint Nazaire...minus the Joubert drydock (and other small details) Now, it IS possible to 'build' it; however, but since no physical object exists (or even comes close) to a drydock, it'd have to be done by repainting the concrete mole section, just to the right of the large building into 'water'. I could make 'gates' using one of the thin "plattform" objects like I've done on many others. But the drydock will constantly be a 'wet'dock. Or, simply not do it, and leave the tile as is. Thoughts? (also, this and the other 30-odd "special" tiles will be the overpowering reason as to why you'll NOT see the EAW Euro retiled to GermanyCE & 4 seasoned) -

you want to see amazing? use the free camera on ANY of my terrains... for starters.... the Cuba OTC+ (since that's your part of the world! -even though I absolutely HATED those tiles!!) MidWest USA Persian Gulf India/Pakistan attention to detail is what I am ... definately over the border OCD on that!! -

Wrench replied to daddyairplanes's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - World War II Forum
that WAS kinda clever with the Wirraway-to-Windindicator huh?? Midway was the ONLY action the Vindicator saw in WW2; all those stationed aboard WASP were left in England when she sailed for Morocco during TORCH, loaded with Spitfires. So, in actuality, easier to substitue Dautnlesses (dauntlessi?) for VMSB-241s Windindicators ========= what I'm really wanting are Havocs/Bostons for ETO/MTO and PTO -- got a f*** load of decals and skins languishing here -
China skin for P-43 ?
Wrench replied to usafphantom2's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - World War II Forum
I got your PM. Been a little preoccupied the last 7 days with my mom in the hospital finally came home today, and boy is she glad to BE home!! I'll have to locate it. Mind you, the aircraft it goes to has SERIOUS issues in SF2 (and even in SF1!)==explodes on the runway and such like. (read: is junk and needs a complete rebuild of the lod and data ini) the skins a remake of the original that Gramps did several eons ago, but with new decals and correct serial numbers. In Real Life it actually played very little part in anything, excepting high altitude recon by the RAAF and some AVG/AAF/ChineseAF. -

Making a gun that does no damage?
Wrench replied to arthur666's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Mods & Skinning Discussion
no; not since day 1. for some reason, the weight of the armor is NOT taken into consideration or is 'read' by the game engine -

Wrench replied to greyhawk's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
purely an End User choice. most of us have all 5 mods folders, and usually keep only the stuff that's pertinant and specific to that theatre (particularly for SF2V and SF2I), but have ONE that's an "all is everything"
