  1. yes, indeed they are...!!! (it's still a frakking death trap though!) ================================== I added this to the Fuselage section: SystemName[012]=DummyGun adjusted the turret yaw [TurretGunner] SystemType=GUNNER_STATION PilotModelName= SeatID=2 GunnerID=1 Position=-0.0000,-1.6278,0.8142 PitchModelNodeName=gunbase YawModelNodeName=Turret GunRange=1100 PitchAngleRate=25 MaxPitch=60 MinPitch=10 DefaultPitchAngle=28 YawLimited=FALSE YawAngleRate=25 MaxYaw=250 MinYaw=250 DefaultYawAngle=180 MinExtentPosition=-0.3,-1.2,0.3 MaxExtentPosition= 0.3,-2.2,1.3 HasArmor=TRUE ArmorMaterial=STEEL Armor[REAR].Thickness=9 locaiton on wing for fake gun: [DummyGun] SystemType=FIXED_GUN GunTypeName=303D InputName=FIRE_PRIMARY_GUN MuzzlePosition=1.54,2.0,-0.46 AimAngles=0.0,0.0,0.0 MaxAmmo=400 EjectShells=FALSE EjectPosition=1.54,0.40,-0.7 EjectVelocity=0.0,0.0.-0.2 and the fake gun itself (or use what you have and rename in the statement above) This is one of those "well, I'll be dipped in s**t" moments; when we actually outsmart the game engine
  2. i'd have added a the dummy gun just one wing (like the Battle) or down the prop centerlline, like the 109s but they're engaging now?
  3. my Fw-190 pak has the pylons from the T-28, used for bombs and drop tanks (along wih the zeke, george, oscars and several others)
  4. pitchdamper= ???? maybe ???? as to plyons, there are plenty of 'fake pilot' pylons lying around ... both 'bomb type' and 'missile type'.
  5. File Name: SF2 Q/A-5 Fantan Pak File Submitter: Wrench File Submitted: 20 February 2012 File Category: Q/A-5 Fantan Q-5 Fantan Series Pak = For SF2, Any and All* = *Note: Full-4 Merged reccomended, but can be used in any game with access to the F-4F Phantom from SF2:E* A new skin/decal pak for the Q/A-5 Fantan series, upgraded for SF2. This package is based off lindr2's work for 1stGen, which in turn is/was based off the Insky release, with some modifications/tweeks/fiddling around and general 'messing with' to bring it more in line with SF2 This is a complete package, of 3 aircraft containing various and sundry cockpits - Remember!!! you must have a Full-4 Merged, or at least acess to SF2:Es BLW F-4F Phantom, as the Q-5II references that cockpit. All other pits are included. Rebuilt data inis use the latest (Nov 2011) MiG-19 FM; while not perfect, work much better than before. A new userlist ini is included, for all models, regardless of A or Q naming. They're still Fantans, no matter what. Some name changes have been implemented by me; what was called the D is more closer to the A, so you have the following aircraft, keeping their PLAAF designation, regardles of export status Q-5A Q-5E (called Q-5D/E/F in the displayed name -they're nearly identical) Q-5II The original skins, of course, are included, as is a NEW Sudan AF for the Q-5E. New serial numbers for the SuAf are 'best guess' based upon the 2 photos I could find (SuAF shown in the screenie above) of them. New DDS damage textures are included, but they don't work as advertised. It's your choice to use them or not (turns the aircraft black for some reason -probably a mapping issue) A 'home grown' template for A/D/E/F series is included for skinner. PLAFF weapons, for the most part, are included, as are the pilots & ejection seats. As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. Please read them! As well as the "Notes" section Any/All faults, mistakes, etc are mine & mine alone. Happy Landings! wrench kevin stein Click here to download this file
  6. I didn't know that at the time of release; thanks for the correction!!
  7. yup and an SF2 version of the A-4L is the /Downloads/Aircraft. A complete pak, with all the bits (even the top anti-colision light has been moved to the top of the hump) http://combatace.com/files/file/12236-a-4l-skyhawk-by-crab-02-column5/
  8. the night shift clocks in....
  9. deleteing files

you can't Only moderating staff can do so you can, however, upload a newer version -- there's a button for that -- and it'll replace the pre-existing one.
  10. if you dudes fix it, upload the 'repaired' data ini and any other parts needed
  11. how did you build your Korea game set up? Did you just drop the terrain into SF1 or create a new game install? If you creaed a new one, you MUST have the Desert terrain folder INSIDE the main Terrain subfolder, otherwise the cat pointer line will NOT work, as it's got nothing to reference from you know, you CAN use the SF2 KAW terrain in 1stGens ... it's less than 2 minutes work editing the main ini to backdate the shaders (or lack thereof) for the 08 level SF/Wo*
  12. File Name: SF2 WW2 ETO Boulton Paul Defiant Remod Pak File Submitter: Wrench File Submitted: 06 April 2013 File Category: Other SF2 WW2 ETO Boulton Paul Defiant Remod Pak -- Something for the WW2 ETO players -- = For SF2 ONLY, Full-4/5 Merged (Reccomended/Preferred) = This is a reissue of Veltro2K's Defiant 'turret fighter'. It has been reskinned/redecaled and had some tweeking done. The skin is in jpg format, and has all new plane-in-group letter and serial numbers (historically acurate for Defiant Mk.1s, but representative of no particular unit). The squadron code represent No. 264 Squadron. There are some issues with this skin, as I couldn't quite figure out the mapping at the rear fuselage camo/sky unders parting line. To that end, the Home Grown ™ template is included for any another skinners wishing to give it a try. Engine sounds, pilot figures, BRAND new Hangar and Loading screens (in SF2 jpg format) are included. As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. PLEASE read them!!! PLEASE read the "Notes" section for the change list, and other important notations. Also, the Legal Statement has been changed with regards to this aircraft. For those that still have the original releases, you may wish delete the aircraft and decals folders for them; this pak is desinged to replace them in total. **These aircraft herein are released in "AS IS" Condition. The source files have been lost, and there can and WILL be no modifications to the physical model. They 'are as they is' and you must accept them with this caveat in mind. Any and all issues/problems that cannot be solved via ini edits will exist forever, as new models are unlikely to be created** Good Luck!! wrench kevin stein Click here to download this file
  13. pity sarcasam dosn't come through in text..
  14. well, you'll see shortly ... i'll be uploading it sometime later tonight
  15. nope, that's what I wanted to see. the other terrain cats are listed in MY version, cause when I do terrains, I make sure End Users ™ can access all the terrain objects in any of the base 3 original cats. now the next questions: do you have SFP1, where the desert cat is. Without it, you'll have no terrain objects. also, what are the names of the various _airfiled inis???
  16. in other words, 'help a brudda out' what I need from our 3d guys, is actually quite simple I need the 'bow and arrow' diapole antenna as seen in the profile below. mind you, the NF.IIs did have other reciever/transmitter antennas on the wings (8 in total), but I think we might be able to live without them (as measuring the exact distances to the mid-wing and wingtips might be diffucult) a simple lod, that I can add via fake pilot. the rest I'll reuse from the NF XII thanks!
  17. up to my friend! it works fine as is!!! (I REALLLY thank you!) using it 3 times was super easy to add as 'seats' for the fake pilot if you realy want something to do....after you finish the P-40, you want to finish an F6F-5 Hellcat (and maybe make a -3 from it?)? Got it from Zur (the Great and Powerful); already mapped and animated for SF. even has a skin. Just hasn't been exported to LOD no hurry on answering.... (ain't I a stinker??? ) anyway, here are the 'seat' position from nose and both wing mounts [RadarAnt1] SystemType=PILOT_COCKPIT PilotModelName=FakePilot Position=0,0,0 SeatModelName=NF2Ant SeatPosition=7.05,0.03,0.42 SeatID=3 [RadarAnt2] SystemType=PILOT_COCKPIT PilotModelName=FakePilot Position=0,0,0 SeatModelName=NF2Ant SeatPosition=-7.05,0.03,0.42 SeatID=4 [RadarAnt3] SystemType=PILOT_COCKPIT PilotModelName=FakePilot Position=0,0,0 SeatModelName=NF2Ant SeatPosition=0.0,3.60,-0.28 SeatID=5 ant 3 is the nose (obviously!). Only if you to! We want the P-40!!
  18. ok...lets settle this WHAT does the main ini look like (might be called "Korea.ini" or something like that) post what is says (copy/paste) the one below is from the SF2 KAW Korea terrain, so it'll give you some idear [Terrain] TerrainFullName=Korea (V3) DataFile=korea3_data.INI TargetFile=korea3_targets.INI TargetTypeFile=korea3_types.INI MovementFile=korea3_movement.INI NationsFile=korea3_nations.INI BriefingText=korea3_briefing.INI DogfightFile=korea3_dogfight.INI DogfightOnly=FALSE //CatFile=..\Desert\Desert.cat CatFile=..\GermanyCE\GermanyCE.cat //CatFile=..\VietnamSEA\VietnamSEA.cat Longitude=126.0 Latitude=37.0 WaterMap=korea3_Water.bmp GroundObjectTexture=Green LimitedNations=TRUE NavalMap=TRUE the lines in bold color are the ones we're interested in
  19. I'd say that works!! was even able to bury 2 into the wings to 'fake create' the reciever diapoles!! thanks man! now, just reskinning and redecaling!
  20. the basic issue with 'turret fighters', is the game engine has no way of know the turret guns are OFFENSIVE; the game engine sees turrets as a purely defensive device; and they don't even return fire on pursuing/attacking fighters let alone engage bombers. this is why the door gunners on Huey's sit there like dumbs**ts while the VC shoots the helo full of holes.
  21. the diagrams in the modlers data file, and the photos suggest simple cyilnders I'll test that lod ASAP!! thanks Raven!
  22. File Name: SF2 WW2 ETO Spitfire 1A, 603 Squadron Skin Pak File Submitter: Wrench File Submitted: 05 April 2013 File Category: Spitfire SF2 WW2 ETO Spitfire 1A, 603 Squadron Skin Pak -- Something for the WW2 ETO players -- = For SF2 ONLY, Full-5 Merged (Reccomended/Preferred) = A new skin for the TMF/ModMafia Spitfire Mk.1A, representing 603 "City of Edinburgh" Squadron around the time of the Battle of Britain. Like the original release of the TMF/MM Spit 1, it uses a pool of plane-in-group letters and serial numbers, so you MUST have to original release of the TMF/MM Spitfire Mk.1a to apply this pack to. The only thing different is the squadron code decal, XT. If you don't have this Spitfire, it's available at the following url: http://combatace.com/files/file/13510-sf2-ww2-spitfire-mk1a-by-mod-mafiatmf/ The skin is in jpg format, Decal Randomization is TRUE. As always, fairly easy to follow, detailed install instructions are included. So, please READ them REMINDER: this is for the TMF/MM Spit 1 ONLY!!! Happy Landings!! wrench kevin stein Click here to download this file
  23. you mean like the A-4L and E(Late) again, look in the downloads section. we've been using the add on humps since ~2006. Over the last couple of years, they've been switched from my 'hump as 0 strength jammer' added as weapon station, to added via fake pilot.
  24. looking DAMN good Ed!! decaling should be easy; just reuse the ones from the Remod pak I uploaded in the recent past
