  1. File Name: SF2 WW2 B-24J Liberator (Pasko), ETO Pak File Submitter: Wrench File Submitted: 23 February 2013 File Category: B-24 SF2 WW2 B-24J Liberator, ETO Pak = For SF2 (Full4/5 Merged RECCOMENDED!) ** Due to the extensive modifications to the cockpit and data ini, this mod will absolutely -NOT- work in 06 level 1stGen game installs. 08 Level 1stGens may have some issues, but this has not/cannot be tested by me. Also, having a merged install is reccomended, as the destroyed model references the stock 3W An-12** This pak contains Pasko's B-24J Liberator Heavy Bomber, with modifications to 'bring it a little closer" to SF2 spec. However, MUCH more work is needed by FM Gurus. To be honest, the FM is waaaaaaaay wonky!! As I always say, "let the AI handle it". The 8th AF units represented herein are: 705th BS, 448th BG in OD/Grey 68th BS, 44th BG in 'Natural Metal' All new skins, from a Home Grown Template ™ are in jpg format. New decals were created for serials, plane-in-group letters and others. The serials are 'generic' in nature, as they represent no particular unit, but ARE for the model variant depicted. Decal randomization is set to TRUE. There are NO nose arts. Weapons and guns are NOT included; you should have them already. All the 1stGen Hangar and Loading screens were either rebuilt to SF2-spec, or created new for this package. They are in jpg format. Damage textures are new, in DDS format. Flight modeling, for the most part, remains as originally issued, with some small tweeking by me. However, it NEEDS a better one!! Really, it DOES!! As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. PLEASE read them!!! PLEASE read the "Notes" section for the change list, and other important notations, in particular for in-game usage. For those that have the 1stGen releases, it's advised you delete, or move to a storage disk or elsewhere, the aircraft and decals folders for them; this pak is desinged to replace them in total. **These aircraft herein are released in "AS IS" Condition. There are SEVERAL issues with the LOD that cannot be resolved. Period. Any and all issues/problems that cannot be solved via ini edits will exist forever, as new models are unlikely to be created** Happy Landings wrench kevin stein Click here to download this file
  2. View File SF2 WW2 ETO B-26B/G Marauder Pak SF2 WW2 ETO B-26B/G Marauder Pak -- Something for the WW2 ETO players -- = For SF2 ONLY, Full-5 Merged (Reccomended/Preferred) = **Note: Having SF2I Expansion Pak 1 is HIGHLY reccomended, as the destroyed model referenced reach over to the stock destroyed C-47A. If you do =NOT= have Exp1, you will NOT have the burning wreck on the ground. You will have to locate some other destroyed model for use. Also, due to modifications to various inis, this mod will probably -NOT- work in 06 level 1stGen game installs. 08 Level 1stGens may have some issues, but this has not/cannot be tested by me.** This is a reissue of Veltro2K's B-26 Marauder Medium Bomber. It has been reskinned/redecaled and had some tweeking done. This mod ONLY represents Marauders used in the ETO. As they are (almost) identical aircraft, your in-game displayed name will read "B-26B/G Marauder" This units represented herein are... 449th BS, 322nd BG, circa 1942 upon initial arrival in the ETO (star/circle) in OD/Grey 449th BS, 322nd BG, cir3a 1943 til wars end, with 'star-and-bar' insignia, also in OD/Grey 494th BS, 344th BG, circa 1944 til wars end, in "Natual Metal" (withOUT OD uppers) All skins are in jpg format, and have been remade from a new Home Grown ™ 'partial template'. All new Squadron Codes, plane-in-group and serial number decals were created. The 449th serials ARE historically accurate (90-95%), matched when possible to call letter. The 494th serials are 'generic' in nature, but are actual B-26G serials. All markings are decals, making in easier for skinners to recrate other ETO (or even MTO) units. There are only 2 nose art decals, both on the 449th skins, one for the 1942 and one for the 1943. None of these skins carry D-Day Invasion Stripes. It should be noted, do =NOT= use this mod in a PTO-centric mods folder; the Pacific Marauders are different, and will covered in another, theatre-specific upload. Engine sounds, pilot figures, BRAND new Hangar and Loading screens (in SF2 jpg format) are include. Bombs and guns are not; you should have them already. A user list is included. Operational service dates are rounded to 'whole months'. As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. PLEASE read them!!! PLEASE read the "Notes" section for the change list, and other important notations. Also, the Legal Statement has been changed with regards to this aircraft. For those that still have the original releases, it's advised you delete the aircraft and decals folders for them; this pak is desinged to replace them in total.. **These aircraft herein is released in "AS IS" Condition. The source files have been lost, and there can and WILL be no modifications to the physical model. It 'is they is' and you must accept them with this caveat in mind. Any and all issues/problems that cannot be solved via ini edits will exist forever, as new models are unlikely to be created** Good Hunting!! 3. the 3W games are absolutely NOT built for that ... considering most maps are ~ 1000 km x 1000 km ... and The Wall (as stated above) is 80km in from ALL MAP EDGES -- INCLUDING THE VERTICAL... makes it impossible to do so. like streak said, you need a game with continious world, not one with boundries (ala CFS or FS)
  4. that image of the layers/channels does us no good ... look at mine. Need to see the WHOLE tile, like in my image however, if you read my post that I linked to in the 1stGen KB, it explains HOW to add the alpha
  5. I really don't want to know about your goldmember... this IS a family site!!!
  6. yarp, just waiting for it to start degenerating, then BANG --
  7. what does the alpha channel look like, and do you have a matching _hm.bmp (height map) this is a "normal" alpha channel (albiet with different water bits) for the VietnamSG50 tile, from Stary's GH3,
  8. yes, but there's a girl behind every tree... (or is that Greenland????)
  9. you aren't the first to make that mistake, and definaty not the last!!! (yes, I've done it too!!!)
  10. and another, although somehow the image got removed!!! http://combatace.com/topic/50042-simplified-sealand-transition-tile-creation/ we actually COULD use a bit more informatiion
  11. that would be the ADF loop antenna Russo built for him... seem as if it might have been forgotten from the upload might be in this thread, an attachment in one of RussoUK post http://combatace.com/topic/76985-antennas/
  12. File Name: SF2 WW2 ETO Westland Whirlwind Mk.1 Pak File Submitter: Wrench File Submitted: 26 February 2013 File Category: Other SF2 WW2 ETO Westland Whirlwind Mk.1 Pak -- Something for the WW2 ETO players -- = For SF2 ONLY, Full-5 Merged (Reccomended/Preferred) = This pak contains a reissue of Veltro2K's WW2 Royal Air Force fighter/bomber aircraft. These are the complete aircraft, with various/sundry changes. Remember, this is the WW2 fighter, NOT the helicopter!!! This pak contains the original 3 skins representing... 263 Squadron, in early 1940 camo (dark earth/green) 263 Squadron, in 1941-ish camo (medium sea grey/green) 137 Squadron, (also in the MSG/Gr) The skins remain in their original bmp format. All new decals have been created for Squadron Codes, plane-in-group letters, and serial numbers. Serial numbers should be considered 'generic' in nature, as they represent no particular squadron affiliation, but ARE correct for the Whirly. Decal randomization is set to TRUE. The late RAF MSG/Gr camo skins use the "DefaultStartDate" switch to activiate in Nov, 1941. Operational Service Dates are rounded to the closest whole month. All new Hangar and Loading screens, in jpg format, are included, as are new damage textures in DDS format. New engine sound, pilot figure and the drop tanks are also included. Guns and Bombs are not; they're the standard "RAF" bombs, that you should already have. The canopy operates via the Standard Animation Keystroke ™, Shift/0. The flight model is (slightly) more SF2-compliant than the original, but as always NEEDS further work by 'those with the know-how'. As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. PLEASE read them!!! PLEASE read the "Notes" section for the change list, and other important notations. 14. read the post in the I linked to. also, NEVER assume the End User knows what to do ... bitter experience has proven this time and time again!!
  15. http://combatace.com/topic/60088-a-reminder-before-you-upload-a-mod/
  16. would you all still want it??? In this case, I speak of the Whirlwind. I've got things 'mostly' dialed in, but on take-off gives this odd hiccup/bounce, and you hear the 'crashing sound (crumpling metal). HUD De-bug shows 'no damage'; but have no idea what could be causing it. It's annoying, but not a real show-stopper. Of course, the FM ain't perfect and some small shadow artifacts -that one dosen't see if one STAYS in the cockpit where one belongs.... Of course, whence re-released, it will allow other Ini Dancers to look it over and fix what I missed (which is, I assure, you sometimes a LOT!) Also in the works are slight revamps of the B-26 and G3M Nell. Again, as bombers they should be left under AI control. The Marauder only has 1 nose art .. unless someone can point me to squadron specifc REALLY GOOD AND CLEAR photos -preferbly in color. Still need to do serial numbers...
  17. maybe that should have been stated in the readme. oh... wait It ain't got one!! might want to think about writing one, friend Strahi, for you next upload. (not that people actually read them.... )
  18. they've been in the weapons pak since 2006 ... I been using them on Wolf's mustangs since they were released ============ Attacking Force Z
  19. we've also noticed that very same issue with the "automatic rewirtes" the game engine preforms at illogical, irrational and random intervals I've left one Skyhawk and one MiG in all my WW2 mods folders, and haven't had it recrate the modern aircraft for almost 4 months now (knocks wood) just another piece of oddness!!
  20. thanks flamout! I always add this to all the readme... "FM need work by experts" I have NO problems with folks fixing stuff uploading said fixes!! ... one of the LEAST things I am, is a FM guy!! Raven: the FM I using on Whirly is "llosly" based off the Mossi. (meaning: hack job copy/paste of the relevant data sections)
  21. then that isn't my VS-23 Avenger then. Mine was complete, minus the LOD.
  22. fubar is also, in what little spare time he has, reworking the 163 FM. no time frame for release you guys DO know the Horton and 163 are available in 1stGen downloads, right? Like all of pasko's 1st gens, there are issues (see the F-79 Manta What if mod)
  23. File Name: SF2 WW2 B-24J PTO Skins/Decals Pak File Submitter: Wrench File Submitted: 25 February 2013 File Category: B-24 SF2 WW2 B-24J PTO Skins/Decals Pak -- Something for the PTO players -- = For SF2, Full-5 Merged (Reccomended/Preferred) = A new set of Theatre-specific skins for the B-24J Liberator by pasko. It is designed for use on the recenly release SF2-ish B-24J mod, available at the following url: http://combatace.com/files/file/13846-sf2-ww2-b-24j-liberator-eto-pak/ Obviously, you'll NOT be using the ETO skins in the Pacific. Skins included in this pak are: 320 BS, 90th BG (OD/Grey), 5th AF - Jolly Rogers 371 BS, 307 BG (Natural Metal) 13th AF - The Long Rangers The skins are brand new, from my Home Grown Template ™, and is in jpg format.Decal randomization is set to TRUE. There are NO nose arts. Serial numbers on 320th are 'generic' in nature, but represent J models. Serials marked with a * (star) on the 371st ARE actual aircraft assigned to that squadron. Unfortunately, the only listing I found was for aircraft 'lost on operations'. Remember that, and Honor Their Memory. As these skins =ARE= Theatre specific to the Pacific regions, you'll have to do some editing after installing to the B-24J in your PTO-centric mods folder, and remove or rename the ETO/MTO skins. As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them. Also, give the "Notes" section a glance Good Hunting! wrench kevin stein Click here to download this file
