SF2 Korean War Era USAF ANG F-84E Skin Pak = For SF2, Full-4/5 Merged (Reccomended/Preferred) = The pak contains 2 new skins for the RussoUK's F-84E, and is designed to be used with my Thunderjet pak found at CA at the following URL: http://combatace.com/files/file/12300-republic-f-84e-thunderjet-by-russouk-for-sf2/ Skins/decal sets included are for the: 154th FBS, 136th FBW (Arkansas ANG) 159th FBS, 116th FBW (Florida ANG) All new, 100% historically correct serial and BuzzNumber decals have been created for all skins. Those skins have stars (*) in their number lists next to the ID number, denoting those with 100% positive identification. Those without stars (*) served in the KTO, but I was unable to run down exactly which wing/squadron. There are only 18 serial/buzz numbers for each aircraft. All decals are Randomized. Also included is a small update for the 7/8/9th FBS skins; the addition of the squadron patch for the 'paint chip' seen on the Loadout Screen. As always, fairly easy to follow, fairly detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them. Good Hunting! wrench kevin stein
  2. you'll have to edit both the targets and types inis (assumin the types ini dosen't have the ships listed) then, locate a 'spot on the ocean', and create a new target area, and drop a 'supply' convoy' into it. summat like this: (fletcher used for example only; you'll have to select an 'era appropriate' escort ship) but, that's the basic idear
  3. aaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhh, s**t!! we are SO f***ing doomed!!!
  4. ant, volker: OUTSTANDING Phantoms, guys! -------- off to hairrass some commies...
  5. running out of texture memory?? if it was missing tiles, you should be 'black' squares there'r NO need to extract the tiles ... that's what terrain cats are FOR!!
  6. AND....... we get to reuse all the decals from the original version!!!
  7. yes, you must us jpg as th format name sf2 reads both bmp and jpg for screens
  8. moved to a more appropriate Forum, where answers are to be found
  9. yup from the readme: like it says, I just didn't/don't remember who did the engine sound

  12. File Name: SF2 Korean War Era AD-4 Skyraiders File Submitter: Wrench File Submitted: 05 October 2012 File Category: A-1 SF2 Korean War Era AD-4 Skyraider Pak = For SF2, Full-5 Merged (Reccomended/Preferred) = *Note: you MUST have SF2V as part of your Full-5 Merged install to gain access to the A-1H.lod this mod refers to.* All aircraft have brand new skins, built from my Home Grown Template ™. Unites depicted are: VA-35, USS Leyte 1950 VA-55, USS Valley Forge 1951 VA-75, USS Bon Homme Richard 1950-51 VA-115, USS Philippine Sea 1950-51? VA-195, USS Princeton ??? VA-702, USS Boxer (became VA-145) VA-923, USS Oriskany (became VA-125) VF-194, USS Boxer 1953? (became VA-196) VMA-121, Land Based, K-6 airfield This is a complete aircraft (well, minus the Stock Lod ™ of course!), with a new radar-equipped cockpit by Dels. Skins are still in bmp format, making it usable in all SF2 merged game installs with access to the A-1H.lod. All markings are decals and are Randomized. BuNums are accurate for the aircraft variant depicted, but not for the actual ones used by the squadrons; consider them 'generic' for that purpose. The 'USMC50s' pilot figure, AN/APS-4 radar pod and engine sounds are included. All weapons are included* (simple edits can make the stock 3W ones usable, if one has Expansion Pak 1). Wingfold is NOT activated, but the canopy is. Use the Usual Suspect (shift/0) to open and close it. All lighting is histerically correct. As always, fairly easy to follow, highly detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them. Also, give the "Notes" section a read too. When in-game, you'll see "AD-4 Skyraider (3W)" on the selection drop-down. Happy Hunting! wrench kevin stein *excepting torpedoes for attacking the Hwachon Dam Click here to download this file
  13. just by chance, in the download, was there an odd little file with the extension of .OUT??? that'll help run it down. also, wasn't this thing very much a beta release??
  14. iirc, the Fueselage is set to NOT show due to cockpit considerations. I think the canopy frame may be part of the fues mesh IF TK would ever give us OUT files, or at least answer "what is this mesh's name questions..." * I should have the prelocked cats extracted archived someplace, and I can browse through the lod if you want. *and reopen the flgihtengine.ini, so we can kick The Wall back on some terrains ...
  15. guys, don't forget to look for the (always expected) Easter Eggs!!! hint: fly from Pyongyang Main, and look along the flightline edge, near the hangars and such
  16. 2 different rolling radius statements in landing gear? differing shock stork values??? when model halves were mirrored, the meshes werent' aligned? I don't have aircraft, so I'm just guess, but these are good places to start. Can you copy/paste and post the landing gear statements from the data ini here?
  17. agreed...I"ll add "KAW" to any further uploads! I'm still awaiting the new FM for the F-86A, and revamps for the E & F (which means all the other Sabres I've done over the last 18 months or so, will also need new data inis!!)

File Name: SF2 KAW Era F4U/AU-1 Corsair Pak by TMF File Submitter: Wrench File Submitted: 08 October 2012 File Category: F4U SF2 Korean War Era F4U/AU-1 Corsair Pak by TMF = For SF2, Full-5 Merged (Reccomended/Preferred) = This package contains theTMF Corsairs for use during the Korean War. There are 4 complete aircraft in this pak, with a ship-load of skins/decal sets. Skins/Decal sets are included for the following units: F4U-4: VF-24 "Renegades" (USS Boxer, 7/50-11/50) VF-63 "Fighting Redcocks" (same as above) VF-64 "Freelancers" (same as above) VF-113 "Stingers"(USS Philippine Sea, 7/50-3/51) VF-114 "Excutioners" (same as above) VMF-312 "Checkboards" (Shore based, various fields in Korea) F4U-4B: VF-53 (USS Essex 1/51-3/52) VF-54 (same as above) VF-192 (USS Princeton, 11/51-5/52) VF-791 "Fighting Rebels" (USS Boxer, 3/51-10/51) VMA-323 "Deathrattlers" (shore based, various fields in Korea) VMA-332 "Polka Dots" (USS ??? -flew off CVE) VMF-214 "Black Sheep" (shore based) F4U-5NL: VC-3 (various Dets aboard ship) VMF-513 "Flying Nightmares" (shore based, various fields) AU-1: VMA-212 "Devil Cats" (land based until 1951, transfered to USS Bataan) VMA-323 (used F4U from USS Badoeng Strait, 1950; shore based after?) *Please note, many Corsair squadrons flew both the -4 and -4B at the same time. As the aircraft are mapped identically, it's an easy job to swap out skins/decal sets, for those so inclined. There is also one 'Easter Egg' squadron, as you all know how I hate wasting good skins/decal sets!! * The aircraft is fully carrier-capable, with all the SF2NA coding for deck 'parking'. Skins are in jpg format, so you MUST be at (minimum) Nov 2011, or the Latest July 2012 patch level (HIGHLY suggested!!!). All markings are decals and are Randomized. BuNums are accurate for the aircraft variant depicted, but not for the actual ones used by the squadrons; consider them 'generic' for that purpose. Standard Animations keystrokes are used for the canopy (Shift/0) and wingfold (shift/9) *Note the -4/-4B wingfold no longer works for some inexplicable reason*. As always, fairly easy to follow, highly detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them. Also, give the "Notes" section a read too. 20. File Name: SF2 KAW Era AD-4NL Skyraider (by MontyCZ) File Submitter: Wrench File Submitted: 08 October 2012 File Category: A-1 SF2 Korean War Era AD-4NL Skyraider (by MontyCZ) = For SF2, Full-5 Merged (Reccomended/Preferred) = This is an SF2/SF2NA upgraded version of my previously released AD-4NL Skyraider. It is designed to replace all my older versions for use in the SF2 environment. This mod represents AD-4NL's from VC-35 "Night Hecklers". The squadron was deployed in various "Dets" of 2-4 aircraft aboard almost all USN Carriers during Korea. The aircraft is fully carrier-capable, with all the SF2NA coding for deck 'parking'. Skins are still in bmp format, I didn't bother converting them to jpg. Most markings are decals and Modex/BuNums are Randomized. BuNums are accurate for the aircraft variant depicted, but not for the actual ones used by this squadron, as I couldn't run them down; consider them 'generic' for this purpose. All the necessary weapons, effects, sounds and etc are included, as is the NEW Skyraider cockpit by Dels. Standard Animations keystrokes are used for the canopy (Shift/0) and wingfold (shift/9) As always, fairly easy to follow, highly detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them. Also, give the "Notes" section a read too. There is important information on Night Operations (what VC-35 specalized in) You may consider this 'Ver.3' of the AD-4NL. 22. Excellent!! with many, many 'my thanks' sending via PM
  23. a dedicated folder (or in actual terms 'a thread') in the Campaigns downloads would only exist if there was an actual campaign existing, doncha think? And as the items being released are objects, they go in the Objects downloads. kinda makes sense, don't it?? I'm sure a some point, some luantic will assemble all the relevant pieces ala NF4 or Falklands or whathaveyou, build the requiste dedicated campaigns and make it avilable like the others
  24. not to make your life any harder, but have you looked here: http://www.millionmonkeytheater.com/ForgottenJets.html there's a section on the RF-84s
  25. i remember (well, in 1stGens and maybe early SF2), we used to be able to have a 'hidden' GropeID beyond 6. Is this no longer working?? It would not show on the loadout screen, but in-game, those points would have the weapon loaded Cause I've got one bird almost ready for re-release, that has a Group7, and they no longer show. I can fiddle the loadout to have them, but it DOES reduce the striking power by removing 2 bombs.
