  1. have you checked Joe Baugher's site, for serial number references? When known, he lists the original USAF serial and the 'end users'. You may have to go year-by-year, and scroll thru LOTS and LOTS of data to find it. here's an example: http://www.joebaugher.com/usaf_serials/1953.html
  2. actulaly, that's not true. I'd point out the Fairey Battle NF, Blenhiem NF.1, (and can't remember the 1st operational date) Turbinelite Bostons, also , iirc, with AI Mk.1s
  3. only if there are GroundObjects defined as "EWR", with coresponding locations in the targets ini (and by inference, types.ini), will you get the radar icon. the CH and CL towers are terrain objects, and have no associated data ini for the game engine to read (hint-hint). IIRC, there are no FuG systems set on in Occupied Europe

SF2 WW2 PTO Ki-43 Oscar by ArmorDave -- Something for the PTO players -- = For SF2, Full-4/5 Merged (Reccomended/Preferred) = *There is a distinct possibility that this mod will =NOT= work in SF/Wo* 1stGen game installs, due to the excessive modifications made to fit them into the SF2 environment.* This is an SF2 version of my 1stGen "AD Oscar Update Pak". I'd forgotten to upload it (what with all the personal computer drama lately...and still ongoing...) so here it is now. Unlike the original SF/Wo* pak, I've created all 3 skins for the 11 Sentai; each of the 3 Chutai are represented by different color lightning bolt on the tail. The other skin included is 1 Sentai, 3 Chutai, iirc, from the CBI region. All skins are jpg, and as these Sentai used no individual aircraft numbers, the only marking are the tail decals (for 11 Sentai) As expected, it has a semi-compliant SF2 Flight Models, but they do need further fine tuning by experts. To diferentiate it from the Wolf Oscar, in-game you'll see the displayed name: Ki-43-Ia "Oscar" (AD) As always, fairly easy to follow, highly detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them. Remember -- these are very old models, so they "are as they is". All original readmes, when discoverable, are included. Good Hunting! wrench kevin stein
  5. those are cool little movies!! -- required screenie new T-33A
  6. you might also be forgetting the LimitedNations=TRUE for IsaelME. That's set for a specific reason (keeping out the riff-raff!! ) A LOT of terrains use "AllowedDates" statements, too locking in a particular time-frame. Your start/end dates in the IsrealME.ini should read as: [AllowedDates] StartDate=1947 EndDate=2050 that's historically correct (and allows you to use monty's S-199, make the Spits flyable, and fly the Independence War)
  7. soundlist.ini???? just guessing!!
  8. just a couple of shots... 'the only good MiG..." the Navy goes truck hunting...
  9. control/O (that oh, not zero!) default control for all bombay equipped aircraft
  10. that too, is already out. the first link in JRL post, IS the 15/17/19 pit
  11. of course, you DO need to go, from the Main Menu, into /Options/Controls, and set up all the animation keystrokes. They're NOT set by default
  12. ok, as many of you know, the KAW terrain has actually been ready to go for many moons. However, most of the aircraft are not. OTH, 98.6% of the GroundObjects are. As are all the weapons. As some may have anticipated, the terrain's release is imminent; "as is" (ie: 95% Real World) even without all the necessary aircraft. So, the question is ... how should I package the needed ground objects? Together with the terrrain? As is stands, the terrain alone, zipped should be approx 100meg (its over 1 gig unzipped) Including them will make it exceptionally heavy Release them seperately? List opinions/thought below. many thanks!
  13. I don't belive in polls ... I'm completly a-poll-itical don't forget, since it has all the slots for 'modern' stuff, you're gonna be needing SAMs too. All AD unit callouts are generic, which f***s up the one SA-5 battery the NKs have ... oh well!! seperate GOs it is, although I should be able to slip in the Guns and Weapons folders as well
  14. the Macchi would also be very welcome, as the 'other one' isn't readily available for MTO players...
  15. File Name: SF2 Korean War Era P-51D Mustangs File Submitter: Wrench File Submitted: 01 October 2012 File Category: P-51 SF2 Korean War Era P-51D Mustangs = For SF2, Full-5 Merged, =WITH= SF2:I Expansion Pak 1 (Required) = Note: you MUST have SF2:I Expansion Pak 1 to make use of this mod, as it references the stock 3rd Wire P-51D. If you do not meet this requirement, DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS MOD, as you will be unable to use it. This mod pak is also designed with a 'stand alone' KAW mods folder, although it can be used in full-merged. This pak contains 4 reskins for the 3W Mustang, for units/squadrons during the Korean War. This pak includes: 12th FBS, 18th FBG, USAF 2 Squadron, SAAF "Flying Cheetahs" 77 Squadron, RAAF 51st PFS (Provisional Fighter Squadron), ROKAF The 12th and 51st skins reference the stock Mustang serial numbers; on the ROKAF Mustang, #18 carries 100% accurate 'nose art' for Col. Dean Hess. 2 & 77 Squadrons have 100% historic serial number decals. Decal randomization is set to TRUE for all skins. All skins are in bmp format, making them usable in all versions of SF2 (although the latest patch level is HIGHLY suggested) Also included is a modified data ini with 100% correct lighting. The canopy opens/closes with the Usual Suspect ™ keystroke, Shift/0. A new main ini (P-51D.ini) is supplied, with the 12th FBS skin moved up to the #1 position. A new Merlin engine sound is included. All weapons used are stock, availble from the SF2I Exp1 upgrade. As always, fairly easy to follow, highly detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them. Also, give the "Notes" section a read too. All screenshots herein were taken over the KAW Korea terrain; coming soon. Happy Hunting! wrench kevin stein Click here to download this file
