  1. New sign on the CA offices....

    there are NO coincidences!!
  2. iirc, it's something new in the SF2 -started appearing around Jan12 patch ... 98.6% of ALL 3rdParty mods are doing this for some stupid reason (worse on WW2 propjobs and low powered Gen1 Jets) i don't know of a fix, or if any is even possible.
  3. it's a game engine quirk fellas ... if a skin exists, with no textureset ini, the entire aircraft disappears!!
  4. that Jolly Roger Corsair skin is wrong.... you can find this one, totally correct, in the 1stGen WW2 downloads section ....(probabaly in the F4U-1A pak)
  5. yeah, Ken, I had to transfer over all the decals and texturelist inis (and the decals folders to!) had to revamp my 36th FBS "korean era" skin too, and will upload an updat for that later this weekend
  6. fault in the 3rdWire pit1.lod. I reported it about 2+ years ago ... still ain't fixed! you can copy the pit1.ini from any of my other terrains, or copy/paste the text below, and 'save as..' pit1.ini. make sure it goes into ALL terrain folders [LOD001] Filename=pit1.lod Distance=6000 [shadow] CastShadow=FALSE ShadowCastDist=500 MaxVisibleDistance=2000
  7. i want to change the 'i'm taking damage' wav that plays after your wingmate hits the ground the Wilhelm screem much more appropriate, methinks. anyone know the name of that wav??
  8. i fixed mine by just pulling the data inis, and changing the ExportedToEnemy= to FALSE. stopped the problem!
  9. WW2 Veteran Back in the Cockpit

Link sent to my by Fubar... http://www.nj.com/news/index.ssf/2012/08/flight_brings_world_war_ii_vet.html
  10. not a bug, it's a feature! in my experience, single missions have always ingnore LN and ULs. I belive those statments are basically for campaigns the soviet hunter, meteors, vampires, and etc are all casued by a line their data inis: ExportedToEnemy=TRUE nothing more disconcerting than seeing NorthKorean Metors, when you're stuck in a bomb-laden Skyraider!
  11. for JonathonRL (not sure how to make the lettering decals, so you'll have to do them yourself!!)
  12. Ed did a superb job on this one! think of this as a foretaste of (whenever it gets done) the KAW mod. His Mig-15 FM is in the same category -- as close to RL as the game allows
  13. this has a more serious "cool" factor then even my Zombie infantry!!
  14. File Name: SA-341 Gazelle for SF2 File Submitter: Wrench File Submitted: 09 August 2012 File Category: Gazelle SA-341 Gazelle Helicopter by Kesselbrut = For SF2, Any & All = Some revamping for Kesselbrut's fine little light attack/observation helicopter, with some upgrades for SF2. This is the complete aircraft, with all the necessary bits; weapons (some new!), pilots, sounds, etc, ready to unzip and install. A full 'changelog' is in the "Notes" section below. Along with the orignial skin (for the Falklands), 5 new skins have been created, thanks to Sundowner finding the templates! They are: French Army (overall green) Desert (overal tan with Generic nation tag) Desert 2 Tone (green/tan, with Generic nation tag) Green (overall, with Generic nation tag) Euro Camo (with Generic nation tag) All skins are in jpg format. Decal positions have been plotted , so when selecting a service, the appropriate insignia will appear. Those skins with the 'generic' tag will show the correct insignia, and can be used as the base to build specific nations. On the subject of decals, no individual numbers are supplied, nor their positions plotted. But that should be fairly easy, given 'known' positions. As always, fairly easy to follow, highly detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them. Also, give the "Notes" section a read too. The original release readme is also included, for historical purposes Happy Hunting! wrench kevin stein Click here to download this file
  15. i have templates for wildcat.... (of course I do!!)
  16. the new forum software is creating them a 'attached thumbnail'. click on them, and they'll expand to full size (as this post is a PSA, it requires no screenie)
  17. templates for all the SF2 menus are available in our downloads section Hangar screen template: http://combatace.com/files/file/12452-sf2-hangar-screen-template/ all others: http://combatace.com/files/file/10944-sf2-series-menu-screen-templates/
  18. you can also expand that statement to say "There are no templates for ANY SF2 series aircraft availble from 3W" any/all that are out now, were made by us
  19. why would you want something over 5 years old, when a perfectly good is residing in you flightdata.cat? If you'd taken the time to look at either the nation/service drop down listing on the single mission menu, or extract the latest, you'll find they already exist.
  20. Jat: sundowner located and sent me the templates. Revamped pak out very soon! russ: that Jug is looking better and better!! srceenie: KillerBees over the Cari-bee-an
  21. by chance, do you have the latest issued/build fo the Fletcher destroyer? If so, try removing that first. There's somethinhg wrong with it I can't figure out (totally screwed KAW, until I removed it, and used the original release). don't forget, it 'supposed' to point to the Desert.cat; it should work pointing to the GermanyCE.cat, but I'll have to restest that. (conversly, if you have 1stGen SFP1, you can copy/paste the Desert terrain folder over, extract the data ini and make the necessary adjustments in the shader statements to bring it to SF2 compliance) Modern Darwin also points to the VietnamSEA.cat; but again ...?????
  22. once again, see my post 2 above yours http://combatace.com/topic/71746-su-34-fullback-skin-pack-and-bits-for-sf2/?do=findComment&comment=564192
