Baltic Terrain Tweeks, for "Ostseeausgang" Terran by Gepard = For SF2, Any and All = (can also more than likely be used in 1st Gens as well, you just don't use the water.bmp) Just a little, quick and dirty tweeks pak, that adds new planning maps (all 3) and a modified Pit1.ini that removes the shadow 'tractor beam issue'. Also included, for SF2 usage, is a new _water.bmp (called Baltic_Water.bmp) The terrain is available here: http://combatace.com/files/file/13009-baltic-entrance-ostseeausgang/ Super easy, simple install instructions are below. that's the desert tile set, possibly even the desert map itself; the 3rd shot could be the mountains near the western edge with as little information as we've been given (like, not even telling us WHICH of the games, what mods, if any), I'm going with defects in the graphics -

it's a game engine/terrain engine issue .... you cannot have a full naval-only map withOUT land bases for both sides, anymore than (without heavy editing and other cheats) a terrain withOUT at least one enemy base (best example is the Afghanistan terrain -completly landlocked, with one 'cheater' bad guy base) you CAN build destroyed cites -as has been done by yours truely- but that are a PERMANENT fixture (terrain engine). Also, in each and every item in _types ini you'll see this little tidbit: that assumes (oh! that word!) "things get fixed" As with all 3W terrains, there are serious flaws in the types and amounts of targets ... in INA, for example (and every other stock terrain), where are the supply depots? where are the garrison stations? vehicle parks?? The Red Army ain't just gonna park it's tanks/trucks/whatevers in people's garages! the scenario here, in NA is the invasion has already happened -as all have 'assumed'- and yes, the Russians ARE on the wrong side of the island -anybody with an AutoClub map could see that. You don't land your forces in places without major ports -- which are all on the south and east sides of Iceland. And TAKING and HOLDING those ports are a major tactical and strategic advantage for Red Side. Which also means occupying and/or rendering useless the 2 main airfields -Keflavik and Reykjavík IAP The airfields in the Occupied Zone are barely suffiecent for small airliners (737 sized at largest). They're not gonna be terribly efficent for tactical aviation -even if the aircraft managed to get there from Europe. So, yes, many points are valid. But remember: it's still only a game -

the only place is from the DAT site (until someone builds another, freeware version). also, here at CA we have VERY strict policy on 'file sharing', especialy for things like stock LODs, and mods from other sites that are permission only/memeber only. We may not agree with the policy, but we stil must respect it. The penalty is pretty stiff ...for both parties. Just saying (read between the words). So, basically, it between you and the DAT. Sorry. -

SquadronList.ini the number of the squadron's entry is the number of the decal ie: [squadron136] Name=VF111 DisplayName=VF-111 Sundowners Nation=USN F4_SqTail136.tga (and an R as well -see below) -

don't know about shadows, but they reflect on the water in NA unfortunately, the cloud deck heights have been locked away for several patchs; so, no longer adjustable -
