PTO P-47N Thunderbolt Pak -- For SF2, Any and All (Full-4/5 Merged Prefered) -- Some various and sundry mods for RussoUK's late WW2 era P-47N-15 "Thunderbolt", bringing a bit closer for full SF2 usage. The pak represents Thunderbolts as based on Ie Shima in mid-1495 to the end of WW2. Several new/modifided inis are included, most important is my 90%-ish SF2 compliant data ini with many adjustments to the FM (more fine-tuning is required -- and hopefully somebody will do so!!). Drop tanks and the WW2 pilot figure are included. The canopy operates via manual animation key, the Usual suspect, Shift/0 ™. All lights are 100% correct. 3 skins/decal sets are supplied: 19th FS 318th FG 333rd FS, 318th FG (these 2 are original, with some decal modification) 463rd FS, 507th FG (new one by me!) Decal randomization is set to TRUE for all skins. As always, READ the enclosed readme for full, detailed instructions. This package has been broken down into the various folders that SF2 needs, to make it a LOT easier to install (read: drag and drop). Just another mod I had sitting on the HD, collecting stray electrons. Thought I finish it off, and get it out the door. Good Hunting!! wrench kevin stein
  4. Perhaps we should move thread to the "What If..." forums?? What started as a simple weapons addition question, has devolved into the realms of Pure Fantasy ™
  5. Squid: Empty out your PM box ... you've got several VERY Important Messages Awaiting you, that you'd better read. STOP LINKING EXTERNAL IMAGES ... especially from other people's Facebook accounts. 1st and only warning
  6. C-130s on Carriers

better yet, google 'U-2 carrier operations'
  7. 1)for 3w: data & loadout inis may be out of date -- the Intruder, as you know, has the drop tanks built into the model. Extract the latest inis from the (whichever cat). Data, and loadout. Put them in the proper aircraft folder, and edit away. As to Razbams, well ... can't help you there, sorry.
  8. James Cameron in Challenger Deep

linky to NatGeo... http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2012/03/120325-james-cameron-mariana-trench-challenger-deep-deepest-science-sub/ wow, and by himself, no less!! can't wait to see what imagery he brings back. I still have the original NatGeo mag from 1960 from the Walsh/Piccard dive.
  9. the waterworld is just my WW2 Marianas ... hmm...need to test that in my PTO install...next question is ... are the carriers working??? IF they start workin, it's an easy fix to edit the targets ini . Mymy... Mariana Turkey Shoot time!! thanks Gerwin!! edit: quickie fix for teh waterworld ini ... pointer line for the planning may is incorrect should read: FilenameFormat=Waterworld%d.bmp Width=1000000.0 Height=1000000.0 NumZoomLevels=3

  13. i guess all those in the 1stGEn WW2/Axis Aircraft and from the DAT don't count, huh?
  14. same as adding weapons has always been in 1stGens ... you'll just need to copyp the various weapons folders from the pak to the main /Weapons folder (assuming an 08 level game, of course), then copy/paste the ENTRIES from the seperate weaponsdata inis (that are IN the folder), into the main weapondata ini, renumbering as necessary, then run the 08 level weapons editor
  15. maybe not so good for 1stEagles, but more modern stuff (call it 1939 to date), it DO get a bit nasty, and "somebody" started adding the flexible MGs mounted on top (case in point: in the DS mod, the T-55 bridgelayer, set as transport, carries it's AA MG ... I lost a Warthog to their concentrated fire during testing --boy was I pissed!!!) TK has added the AA guns to the tanks (but somehow, NOT the M113/BTR/BMP/etc troop carriers -- but that's a super easy fix!) Number of units in the 'convoy' is easly adjusted in the Formations.ini
  16. I did that for the original DS mod when it was first released, like 4-5 years ago!! Best rename, would the *nameofvhiecle*_T , just like I did for the destroyable carriers on the Okinawa WW2 map. "T" for transport or targetable
  17. prolly not ... iirc, 3w been using jpgs since some mid-2011 (or maybe even earlier, as Exp2 had jpg skins stock)

P-51D Mustang, 47th Fighter Squadron, 15th FG, WW2 PTO -- For SF2, Full-4/5 Merged (Prefered), and/or SF2I ALL w/ExpansionPak 1 -- (it can acutally be used in any SF2 install that has the access to the stock P-51D) NOTE: you =MUST= have, at minimum, SF2:I Expansion Pak 1, and/or with a full-4/5 merged w/Exp1 installed. If you don't have these, don't bother downloading this package. This skin represents aircraft of the 47th FS, 15th FG as based at Airfield #1, Iwo Jima, during mid-1945 through wars end. "Plane In Group" number decals reflect the actual type used (150-199); serial numbers are stock -so make sure you've the the latest 3rdWire stuff intalled. As always, READ the enclosed readme for full, detailed instructions. 19. is there an AircraftObject.ini residing somewhre in teh /Objects folder? If so, delete or rename.
  20. set up ONE install, then copy/paste the Default.ini that's in your /Controls folder to whatever install you want.
  21. wellll not exactly .... of our major Navy Players, NA & 3/12 patch f***ed them pretty hard. I've got the go over the Skyraiders (which now have NO folding wings for some reason) Corsairs (got 1 fixed -the 5NL seems oks, the -4/4B need reworking) and the Panthers are borked. to say nothing of NOT having usable full-deck carriers (ie: post-war Essex). And my own inability to create a working water bmp with 'naval zones'
  22. wow!! the guy has a wide-screen monitor!! (all the better to watch p0rn with!)
  23. Happy Birthday to
