  1. i've got the Vigi all tweekified for SF2 as well. just never assembled a package!!
  2. that's the one! It's just too screwed up to convert to SF2 -- and sooooooooooo many issues that I can't even remember them all! it's a pit too, as it's got the size/region required
  3. according the SSP "Gunships" book, they used both kinds; the SUU-13 pod is the later variant. I'll take either!! I'm easy (but not cheap!)
  4. forgot about the Deutschland terrain ... got it here somewhere; I'll look when I can! IIRC, Ansons covers pretty much all Western Europe, down to the Med. He's got a thread in 1stGens somewhere; maybe the older posts will show the HFD, giving some idea. just a quickie from SFMap (found the terrain in my one remainig 1stGen instll...) for some reason, the Red Side bases aren't showing....and Gerwins TFD tool won't open it all (tile errors it sayd) but, at least, this'll give some idea (also, for some reason, things seem a bit "displaced" from their postions -- have to check the targets ini)

  6. cool Russ!!! The pics show the barrels black, and 'mechanism' more a dull metal color. We have the M134 miniguns already (the gundatat), so after pod location, it just a matter of dailing in the 'muzzle flashs' WEll, more or less

  8. been having some issues with the dell studio xps, with the GTX240 vid card ... damn thing seemed to be overheating, and shutting down. Not loosing the computer, like a bad PS - everything's still running (speaking working, HD spinning, all power on -in fact the mission I was flying was still running in the background) so, only way out was a hard shut down with the power switch (we all know how much WinDoze loves that!) Pulled the side panel, blew out all the fans, ducts, etc. Even pulled the vid card and blew out ITs fan. but it still did it. Spent half the night reading the boards at nvidia.com; seems to be a chronic problem with dells with this card as there were 5 or 6 posts on the same problem This morning, I pull the vid card again, and THIS time , I take off the heatsink/fan housing cover. And find the edges clogged with crud. Blew it out, and picked at the rest with a toothpick. The pic below is the crap that came out -- packed hard. I used a cig for scale (ya, as a smoker cleaning the insided is more important!) Sorr for the huge size ...I wanted to make sure folks could see these mini-turds The moral of the story .... not only BACKUP YOU HD!!! but clean out the insides once in a while! The fan is so quite now, I can't even hear it, but can feel the airflow from the side vent
  9. I can have the VAH-13 done in a few days....needs BuNums. Completly revamped pit (based off my work on Buny's B-66), fixed lights, wing folds, avionics, loadout, canopy glass, lots of little details, etc etc etc. (unfortunately, unable to fix the massive decal bleed on the right rear fues, right smack dab where the insigina goes!) in screenie below, all markings are decals (partly retemplated to remove stuff) most of those showing in the picc are "Queers" -- the elint birds (EA-3B?). look at all the antenna bulges/blisters

And Gepard's WW2 BoB map is too far west .... even with 'modernization' So,there's a big gap between GCE and anything else That leaves the Impossible To Fix ™ EAW-EuroWW2 map; so, in essence, no map exists. I'd shudder to think of the targeting needed for for late 40 Western Europe Gepard: thanks for the correction! I did't know that!

    thanks! It's the auto mechanic I was; he has to take everything apart to see how it works, and IF something comes apart, maybe fix the bits inside!
  19. edit: something I should have checked, since the OUT file WAS included...AND I know how to read the damn things! to make the ailerons move, change the node names to LeftAileron RightAileron but DO NOT TOUCH THE AERODYNAMIC VALUES -- just those 2 lines without the underscore; that left over from lindr's original data ini. the horiziontal stabs will NEVER move, as they didn't cut the meshes for them, so they exist in a 'virtual' state Flaps don't deploy properly either ... they're piviot points must be limited somehow. below is the OUT...if someone can point out the horizon stab there .....
  20. my 'quickie' version of the paki skin -- a did quick repaint (oh! the joy of having templates!) to remove the painted on stuff, and decaled it. still needs serials....where's Sandesh??? what is really needs, is a totaly new model, properly mapped. But we make due with what we have...
  21. Yes, you MUST upgrade! IF you're staying with 1stGens -- which to be bluntly honest, just about none of the 'Name Modders' build for anymore. SF/Wo* is dead. The WoI expansion pak in 2009 (??iirc) is/was the end. Its not being supported by 3w any more, so...... there ya go! SF2 is already set up for it. 08 Parked planes: you can EASILY remove the game-generated statics for all terrains by a simple extraction of each of the airfield inis (there's 6 normally, plus the slightly renamed ones in GermanyCE & VietnamSEA), and delete the 'parking positions' lines. Mabye 5 minutes work. as to the nation limits....   23. there's an NK and Paki skin around? Must've missed those! Assume they'er in the 1stGen D/Ls someplace? thanks for the fix Paulo ... some folks around here do nothing but bitch/gripe/complain and offer nothing in the way of positive motion in the direction of 'getting it right'
  24. that's what the LimitedNations=TRUE statement does in a terrain's main ini, and what the terrains _Nations.ini does. been around since the 08 patch
