  2. REMINDER: it's for 1stGen WoE, and may not work properly (if at all) in SF2 the terrain, however, WILL work with minimal editating
  3. WHHOOOOOTTTT!!!! a more generic title is MUCH better!!
  4. A-12 Avenger II out on The Range for weapons proficiency testing.... VFA-192, Golden Dragons

  6. It'e BBBBBBeeee time!

today is 331KillerBee's birthday. In honor of this, I suggest we all drink mead ("Honey, it's made from honey") Happy Birthday man!! wrench kevin stein
  7. you'd need purpose-built lods for those, to be used as a 'terrain object', and placed via targets ini edits. (like the 'static aircraft on the WW2 terrains) stock aircraft models, when used that way always sink, due to their 0/0 world point being centered with gear extended
  8. maybe this book would be of some assistance??? http://military-machine.blogspot.com/2009/03/f-111-aardvark-in-detail-and-scale.html
  9. Have you looked in the Knowledge Base??? (hereinafter refered to as "KB") http://combatace.com/topic/9323-adding-weapons-to-sfwovwoe-a-tutorial/
  10. that terrain never looked better!! And the Sabre looks damn good, too!
  11. "the stuff that dreams are made of"
  12. because you need to make a 'nationalized' Parani skin. I can garanetee Paran is not in the PFMs userlist.ini
  13. yup, still going nuts working on it ... that's why I took a break doing some skins and A/C mods. There were some shots in the Screenshots thread of 'bits and places' one of the reasons all the Latin American aircraft/skin sets have been showing up. Just need a good P-47D-25 or better for some of the airforces
  14. its in the 1stGen downloads ... i take you want the green euro skins? http://combatace.com/files/file/2979-paskos-sams-and-vehicles-pak-euro-skins/ it's the full package, with all the lods, skins, protesters, etc the Desert skin pak is exactly the same, with some 'tan' skins they should be combined, as you can select which texture to use via the terrain's main ini
  15. only in user built missions the in-game single mission generator has never had the ability to choose carriers
  16. File Name: A-4C (65) Skyhawk, VSF-1 "Warhawks" File Submitter: Wrench File Submitted: 27 August 2011 File Category: A-4 A-4C (65) Skyhawk, VSF-1 "Warhawks" Skin/Decal Pak = For SF2 (Full-4 Merged Prefered) and/or SF2:V = *Can be used in any install that has access to the A-4C_65, which comes from SF2:V. Hence, the 'Full-4 Merged' tag is applicable * This skin set replicates A-4C Skyhawks as used by Antisubmarine Warfare Fighter Squadron 1 (VSF-1) during the 1965-1971 timeframes. I won't go into defining the "VSF" concept, you can research that on your own. (Google is your friend). Think of the Composite Squadron concept, as used during WW2 on the CVE Escort Carriers. These aircraft gave a modicum of air defense for the CVS-class carriers, while still maintaining their Light Attack Role ™ All but 3 of the decals are new; those were reused from a 1stGen mod by Paul Nortness (Fist of the Fleet). All BuNums are 100% historically accurate for A-4Cs as used by VSF-1. Unfortunatly, I was unable to match Modex to BuNum, so some inaccuracy in inherent. Research shows (via photo evidence), of some Dets have Modex numbers in the 570 and 580 ranges. I've chosen the slightly non-historical route for those. Please see the "Notes" section below for more information on BuNum assigned to aircraft on USS INDEPENDENCE. Decal randomization is set to TRUE, so be at least at the June 2011 patch level (or whichever one gave it to us) A couple of inis are included; the loadout ini has some minor changes for a couple of mission profiles. The data ini has had the landing light added, and (of course!) the canopy activated, via manual animation. Use shift/0 to open and close it. All 'standard' Skyhawk mission profiles are retained. As always, fairly easy to follow, detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them .... Good Hunting! wrench kevin stein Click here to download this file

  18. A-4L Skyhawk by Crab_02 & Column5

    Version

    497 downloads

A-4L Skyhawk, VC-13 "Fighting Saints" Skin/Decal Pak = For SF2 (Full-4 Merged Prefered) and/or SF2:V = *Can be used in any install that has access to the A-4C_65, which is stock in all merged installs, excepting a stand-alone SF2:I. However, it does use the A-4E_67 Cockpit and Avionics ini, which is only availabe in SF2:V. Hence, the 'Full-4 Merged' tag is applicable* Complete overhaul of the A-4L Skyhawk as originally released in 2004 by Crab02 and Column5. For historical purposes, their original readme is included. This mod makes use of all stock, "in-game" items, excepting for the avionics hump. All inis have been updated to the latest patch level (August, 2011); the loadout ini has some minor changes for a couple of mission profiles. The data ini has had the landing light added, and (of course!) the canopy activated, via manual animation. Use shift/0 to open and close it. All 'standard' Skyhawk mission profiles are retained. The avionics hump has been converted to a 'pilot seat' using the fake pilot method (the FakePilot is also supplied, just in case). The mid fuselage upper light position has been adjusted to match that on the hump. A new SF2 style hangar screen jpg is also included Decal randomization has been set to "TRUE", so be at least at whichever patch level gave this to us. As always, fairly easy to follow, detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them .... Happy Landings! wrench kevin stein IMPORTANT NOTE: If you have the DLC A-4L from Third Wire, do NOT download this mod. It will cause major conflicts. They should not be mixed in any way!!! If you do NOT have the 3W DLC A-4L, this is safe for your use.
  19. View File FJ-3M Fury by Zur and Co., for SF2 NAA FJ-3M Fury = For SF2, Any and All = This is the full, compiled package of Zur/Column5's FJ-3M Fury. I've assembled all theskin/decal sets I could find into one big lump. Skins included in the pak are: VF-53 from ?? VF-62 from USS Essex, ATG-201 during the Beirut Crisis VF-73 from USS Randolph, circa 1956/57 VF-84 from USS Forrestall, crica 1956/57 VF-142 from USS Hornet, 1956 VF-211 from USS BonHomme Richard, circa 1956 VMF-312 (actually an FJ-3 in Natural Metal, circa 1955ish) Some of the older decals have been replaced by new-builds, and all the positioning has been reset to match photographic and profile evidence. With a little luck, they're right! Decal randomization is also set to TRUE, so make sure you're at least at the July 2011 patch level (or whichever one gave that to us) Also included is a new drop tank (based off the original Sabre tank), as reskinned by C5 for the original release. I've just did some hex editing and renaming of the tank to create the "new" version just for the Fury. Other changes are the addition of the Userlist, a new avionics ini that adds the radar-ranging gunsight. And a revamped SF2 version of my 'artwork' hangar screen. Loadouts use all stock, in-game items. The aircraft is fully carrier-capable, via the addition of a 'virtual' arrestor hook. The 'destroyed model' callout has been added, using the closest shape (F-100D). Not perfect, but it works! As always, READ the enclosed readme for full, detailed, easy-to-follow install instructions. Of course, the usual 'Notes' section for the ravings of a madman!! Happy Landings! wrench kevin stein Submitter Wrench Submitted 08/25/2011 Category Other
  20. just a note to everyone ... there ARE more Fury skins that I missed. I've totally forgotten about one of our sub-sites here are CA, Paul Nortness' "Fist of the Fleet" ... there are more skins there, if anyone wants them. some editating might be necessary, and at least 2 (the blue ones) are probably more for FJ-2 and early FJ-3 (pre-1956/7 transition period)
