  1. SF2 SF2V SF2E SF2I expansion1 expansion2 wrench kevin stein
  2. since I don't have WoI installed anymore (having moved, like most folks to the SF2 series), I don't recall IF there's a 'switch' point in the Nations.ini (tho, I'm sure there might be), that turns on/off the old EAF and UARAF roundells. To make certain, you'll need to extract the Nations.ini from the FlightData.cat, using Skypat's extrator tool, and scroll through it looking for the date switch. I'm pretty certain TK uses that in 1stGEns too; this is the Egypt nation statement from teh SF2 nations ini: Name=Egypt DisplayName=Eqyptian Air Force Alignment=ENEMY PilotNameList=NamesArabic.lst RankList=RanksRAF.lst CallsignList=CallsignsUS.lst Formation.Fighter=SovietFighter Formation.Attack=SovietFighter Formation.Bomber=SovietBomber Formation.Transport=SovietBomber Formation.Tank=SovietTank Formation.MobileAD=SovietAD PilotTrainingStandard=POOR GenderRatio=0 DebriefSuccessMusic=DebriefSuccess.wav DebriefFailMusic=DebriefFail.wav DebriefKilledMusic=DebriefKilled.wav SpeechFile=USAFSpeech.cat SpeechTextFile=USAFSpeechText.str ActiveDate=1971 AlternateDecal=Egypt_OLD58 <--- and futher down... // Egypt 58-71 [Nation076] Name=Egypt_OLD58 ActiveDate=1958 AlternateDecal=Egypt_OLD48 // Egypt 48-58 [Nation077] Name=Egypt_OLD48 so, they should be there, based on WHAT year you fly in Also, if you could REDUCE the font size in your posts, please. The larger fonts make it look like your shouting, and it's considered a bit rude. Thanks! wrench kevin stein
  3. any particular country? TK's covered pretty much most of them (depending on the game, sometimes) there's 2 ways to add the 'national insigina', 1) paint it on the skin (harder) 2) use a decal -- then create a new, or edit an existing decals ini (and textureset ini) to add the country's insigina to the aircraft Also, since you're new to the game (and Welcome!), we tend to point newcomers to the handy dandy ™ Knowledge Base, which has lots of info on modding/changing the games. wrench kevin stein
  4. We, of the Dark Side, Welcome our new Initate!! Take you place, Brother, amongst us More terrains are coming ... and of course, converting the older ones over is >2 minute job I'll have to echo Nigels comment .. we DO need updated FMs AND models for our Beloved WW2 Mods ™. We can only hope ... wrench kevin stein
  5. helos instead of tankers on reactor

if you live in California, radiation is the LEAST of your worries... I ain't sweating it! wrench kevin stein
  6. pathways are incomplete, and the AIRCRAFT folder name is incorrect ... you need the FULL path in the decals ini (pre-06 used the other method) it should read: /NAME of Aircraft/Name of Skin/D/Name of Decal The NF12 that I made was RAF WW2 only; if you're going to try and convert to WoI (not really reccomended, btw), you'll have to complelty rewrite the decals ini to use/match the IDF decals wrench kevin stein btw: they'd be FB.VI, not NF12s; allenjb did the IDF Mossies, based off Pasko's original FB.VI, so you may even have the wrong airplane!
  7. Yeah, that's pretty much what we call "theft" around here; and something we frown upon -- HEAVILY ... didn't even have the decency to say 'this IS Marcfighters Mi-8, with all his original stuff -- even the readme that original from 2008' 1) you DO NOT upload other people stuff, expecially when it's available already -without their permission 2) you REALLLY might want to read the "Before You Upload a Mod" sticky at the VERY TOP of this forum. There are MINIMUM requirement for EVERY SINGLE upload that made 3) You don't take other people's stuff and upload it -- man, what IS wrong with people these days?? File will be hidden, then deleted. Do something like this again, and the consequences are most dire -- new member or not. wrench kevin stein
  8. iirc, the original skin was done by pappychksix (Pete Federico) I just did the hexediting to 'create' the 'new' lod wrench kevin stein
  9. is there a carrier station defined in the terrains _target.ini???? (by default, ONLY VietnamSEA has them ...so they'll need adding) wrench kevin stein
  10. ObjectData001.cat has all the goodies, including the weapondata.ini hope you get 'em back!! wrench kevin stein
  11. we been 'opening' the visor for years ... (well, I have at least, since 2004. Meaning: adding the face to bmp) The visor cannot be opened or closed; you can only paint in the face. I've got several pilot figures with 'open' visors The face goes in the upper left corner, suitably sized to fit -- takes a little doing, but not too difficult wrench kevin stein
  12. Guilty as charged... "a kill is a kill" wrench kevin stein
  13. as the issue will be pretty much only on the sea/land transition tiles, try the Black Painted HM bmps, available (someplace!) in the d/l sections -- check under Terrains. And set the HMS= to 2.0000 Old problem, induced by the 08 patch. There was a LOT of discussion on it at the time, and there should be some fixes posted in the KB thread "Things You Need To Update" wrench kevin stein
  14. that's an Options.ini edit ... covered a LOT times all over the place: [singleMission] AircraftType=MIG-21MF Service=Soviet MissionMap=BOWL MissionType=CAP MissionTime=NOON MissionWeather=SCATTERED AirActivity=HEAVY AirDefenseActivity=HEAVY FlyAll=FALSE LoadMission=TRUE LoadMissionFilename=C:\Users\kevin\Saved Games\ThirdWire\StrikeFighters2\Missions\targets test 1 Cuba-Commie.MSN MissionDate=1973 StartYear=0 EndYear=2050 <--change here EditMission=FALSE ------------------------------------ The Intruders should be using the stock lods .. unless they've got 1stGen lods in package. Have you checked the SF2V A-6?? wrench kevin stein
  15. known issue with the pit1 terrain object extract the pit1.ini from any of the terrain cats, and turn OFF the shadow statement (or use the pit1.ini from any of my terrains) Thusly: [shadow] CastShadow=FALSE ShadowCastDist=500 MaxVisibleDistance=2000 wrench kevin stein
  16. No. Not with going to SF2, and building a completly seperate install based on ChampionVA56s EXCELLENT Mesclaro range. that's just how it is, and has been since The Range was released in 2003-ish wrench kevin stein
  17. .....and the crowd goes wild!!! wrench kevin stein
  18. AHA!!!!! I'll go looking for it ... it's needed for Cuba, too!!! (or, can you just shoot it to me???) thanks D!! (the fun part starts, when placing it, and getting the launchers to face their correct headings -more or less!) wrench kevin stein
  19. prolly S-99s (before they ran out of Daimler engines) wrench kevin stein
  20. there isn't one. Fubs made one a year or so ago, but it has Zbuffer issues, and has never been released because of that. wrench kevin stein
  21. See above but, if you insist on commiting suicide... copy/paste the text below into Range_targets.ini, Where *** is the next number in sequence
  22. because there aren't any ... one must make them themselves. Time consuming, but doable. wrench kevin stein
  23. They were left off on purpose. wrench kevin stein
