    Europe WW2 Terrain for SF, WoE & WoV I couldn't find the original readme, so we'll make due with this.... This is FNG2K and Edward's WW2 Europe terrain, reissued for those that don't have it. It is NOT as released, as I've made some small changes over the years since it's original release, most notably in the area of 'Ground Objects'. I've pulled them out of the terrain folder, and re-created them as GroundObjects. Their main inis have been adjusted, as per Patch 4 to have them show the proper way. This is the COMPLETE terrain set, with all the various inis, bmps, tgas, and whatnot needed to ALMOST unzip and fly on. You'll be adding various items to several main game folders, so it is MORE THAN HIGHLY RECCOMENDED THAT THIS TERRAIN BE USED IN A "STAND-ALONE" WW2 ETO/SWOTL GAME INSTALL. For information on how to create one, if you don't know already, consult the Knowledge Base at CombatAce. You'll find that information here: http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?showtopic=19630 Water effects are active, so Vista users take note...more information for you is below in the Install Instructions. See "Notes for Vista Users". It is HIGHLY reccomended you have Geo's WW2 Ground Object Pak, for the various and sundry trucks, tanks, AFVs, AAA units and etcs. I've included as many as I can positively ID as coming with the original terrain set, as stated above, now turned into GroundObjects. Hopefully, I've filtered out the permissioned ones. If not, I apologize in advance. NOTE: this terrain is NOT reccomended for use in a WW2 ETO/SWOTL install based on Wings Over Israel. WoI handles prop flight models in a 'most peculiar way', and you'll experience massive frustration in just trying to fly. It is designed, originally, for SF, but works in WoE and WoV, as long as the proper terrain cat is selected. See below for more detailed instructions = NOTE: You MUST have the Bunyap Weapons & Guns Pak of 6/06 for the proper WW2 weapons and guns!! = Although, I HAVE included my GunData.ini and GunData.dat files. These have all the proper WW2 guns and such. Be advised, one of the objects I've added is the Nazi Flag. If you live in a country that prohibits it's exhibition, you may wish to delete the "3RFlag" bits. PLEASE read the enclosed readme for full, detailed, step-by-step install directions.   3. That's an interestering work-around, Kuko!!! I like it!!! Having done some similar things meself; I applaud the ingenuity. I should have plenty of pictures around here of the rack positions (SAM Modelrs Datafile #2 on the Hurricane I KNOW has some excellent drawing/photos) It's very similiar to what I did to Wolf's F4U-1 to create the -1D with rocket stations. I just took the data ini entries from the Mustang, and then adjusted their positions. Like I said, it's a very doable thing...just need time to fiddle with it. I'll add it to my list...which seems to be getting larger day by day (I just realized yesturday there are 4 B-49 mods I've never finished! With a 5th reskin for What If Korea planned) As to the SEAC skin, it's stock on the 2B for 30 Squadron. Could use some new decaling for serials and ID letters; again, that ain't no thing.   4. OK, so this looks like it'll take a little longer than expected. It appears I was, at some point, doing a little upgrade to the targets and types inis; adding some flags, switcing around some objects. So, expect it sometime in the near future; don't have a timetable, but definately less than "2 Weeks". Hopefully, no one will be offended by the inclusion of the 3rd Reich flag at all the airbases occupied on the Continent. There's 3 flags for England, standard UK, RAF and US (with 48 stars). I don't think anything else is really changed...but I'm still checking. sorry for the inconvience....but it'll be worth it for eye candy Wrench kevin stein ps: Thank you, Spectre.   5. THAT's what I forgot to finish!!! I have a fix for that; give me some time and I'll reassemble the Range targets and types inis, so you don't get shooted at by SAMs with 'nasty, pointed rockets' (<--use Monty Python type voice) Wrench kevin stein
  6. Give me a few days to disassemble and re-assemble it. As mine is a throughly upgraded version; all the 'terrain object vehicles' are now Ground Objects, and no longer IN the terrain folder. There's a lot of other tweeks; things for the main (or root folder - a modified options.ini in particular for InstantAction), several items for the Flight, Menu and other goodies. Water fx are active, so I'll need to include the 'what to change' so the Vista users can complain about CTDs...after NOT following instructions. Also need to make sure I don't have any stuff 'not allowed to include' in there. I"ll be included the alternative Winter tile set, with instructions on how to create a seperate, EuroWW2_Winter terrain folder as well. I mean, I have one, why not tell everyone else how to do it? Yup, I'll write up a nice readme for everyone to ignore as well. Wrench kevin stein
  7. Re-read my post. No ini editing is required. The game engine KNOWS to look for "patch.bmp", and automatcially loads it to the Loadout Screen, where it may be viewed. Just look at any of the skins I've done over the last, oh, 2 years or so. You'll see what I mean. All those other's are either screens (***_Hangar.bmp, ***_Loading.bmp <--this is the one you stare at whilst waiting for the progress bar to reach 100%), the "Loadout.bmp" is the little picture that shows the hardpoints Wrench kevin stein
  8. DAT Hurricanes: The 2D has the Vickers S-Type 40s built in under the wing plus 2 303s; The 2C has the 4 Hiso 20s, 2 underwing bomb/FT stations. None of the Hurri's are tropicalized; that is to say, no Vokes filter assembly. Adding the rockets is an extreamly simple matter of just adding the hardpoints, both to the /Weapons section and /Left and Right Wing systems, then adding them to the Loadout ini. For those not familiar with the WepPak, they're called "60lb_rocket'', and have been available for a verrry long time. The only thing is, there are NO rocket rails on the wings, as they have to be built into the physical model (look at the Spit 22/46, Seafire 47 for examples). Highly doubtfull they'll get added.   9. You mean the paint chip, as seen on the loadout screen? They go in each individual skin folder, and they're called "patch.bmp". Shouldn't more than 128/128, and THAT's on the large side. 64x64 is goood Wrench kevin stein
  10. You can get the Peashooter here, at Buny's site: http://www.bunyap2w1.com/ I fiddled with some data ini edits, tyring to 'move' the mast and ariels, but came up with them still there. Anyone want to esplain how I"m supposed to effect this change???? I thought I was just as simple as the cockpit moves, but not. Wrench kevin stein

  12. Noboy bothered the read the readme, I take it??? I quote: emphasis added by me. You'll CTD in any other game, as ONLY WoI has the new avionics70.dll, that supports the GM radar (that's ground mapping for those not paying attention!!), with the working HUD. You can probably apply the same fix as Craig's EF-2000; comment out the lines in the avionics.ini that pertain to Ground_Map (or GM) radar. You'll lose the GM radar, of course, but most likely will NOT CTD. Aside to Jul: Super job dude!!! Totally radical!!! Wrench kevin stein
  13. It's Bunyap's old model. He's not around much anymore. I have no idea on how to get ahold of him. Maybe Dave would know??? As it stands, it's mapped to 5 bmps; the OUT file is available, so maybe the antena and wiring could be 'moved' via data ini edits.... I myself have never done it on a full airplane (only a few cockpit moves) Figuring out which object is what would be the hard part EDIT: the wire, guides and posts ARE listed in the OUT as seperate meshes, so all I need do is try and figure out the MOVE sections.. But aren't some of them the 'flying wires' for wing support??? Now, I'll have to find the 'how to...' around here somewheres.... Wrench kevin stein
  14. Yes, still working in the 1950s....don't forget, there's a terrain in for overhaul, so we'll needing the right planes for it! Anyway, WIP on the B-26B Invader, 13th BS. This aircraft is dedicated to our very own Fubar512, from The Garden State: a little close up... 8-12 historical nose arts, with a few 'borrowed' from AllenJB's Invader skins. Some are 'interperative' - meaning I had to make do with what art I have in stock, as some have no or very unclear pictures. Don't even ask me how I'm going to do 7th Chadwick as a decal...I haven't thought that far ahead yet (and it gonna be a nightmare!!!   18. In my experience so far with WoI and prop planes, I'd have to say no, not at this moment. I can't speak to FE after the expansion pak, as I couldn't afford to buy it. But FE is still limited, unless this has been fixed, to it's original or made-only-for-FE terrains. With Edwards China and Burma terrains for SF/WoV/WoE, we have the theatre already to go (although they could use some target upgrading...). I know that most of us (the 2 dozen or so) flying WW2 are using SF/WoV/WoE. As to the forthcoming Patch, I'm hoping it dosen't damage their FMs as WoI has done (trying flying the S-199/109G10 mod I did and you'll see what I mean). I'm also hoping that TK does to some 'repairs' in this respect. Monty: I wondered what happened to that Aichi!! Would still love to see that finished, and in game! That screenie is from like, what? 4 years ago??? Along with Pasko's Grumman 'Barrel' Fighters (F3F). The I-152/53 I think were recently released by the Dev A-Team (for the un-prejudiced that follow that). Wrench kevin stein
  19. I would "think" it'd just be a simple matter of adding the hardpoints via data ini edits, and adjusting the loadout ini to match. Repainting the CFT skins, and creating new lods via hexediting is a relatively simple matter, if needed - aren' the IDF Baz's gray? Wrench kevin stein
  20. Brother, I"ll take anything I can get! If you can find out about illuminator flare ... I added them to the Invaders for those night interdiction misisons ... meaning as to 'how and where' they were mounted and/or dropped. I also updated the weapondata on them, data ini wise, so they don't get popped as CMs Got about 5-8 more nose arts to do, then it'll be ready (excepting Chadwick...still trying to figure that one out) Some nose art, is as always, 'interperative' = meaning I filled in with the pinups I have.   21. A Curtiss Condor!!! How cool is that!!! With gun turrets, no less. We have the BF2C/Hawk III, I believe MontyCZ made it maaaannny moons ago; it could use a little FM upgrade. The I-16 is in Wolf257's WW2 Planes Pak. The A2N would be a PERFECT addition!!! (remember, the FM is different in FE than in the SF/WoW/WoE sets) Absoluteley!!! Please continue with these.   22. And I finally get to use that Marylin Monroe I've been saving, too!!! Last night whislt doing up the decal, I noticed a great deal of physical simularitiy between her and Little Annie Fanny (those too young to know, can google her). I wonder if the artist that created the fake, didn't use LAF as the body type. The art above, is AFTER 'fixing' under orders from the squadron's chaplin -- that's a historic fact!
