My next terrain project
Wrench replied to Gepard's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Mods & Skinning Discussion
Yeah, it's part of the "DestroyedShipEffect". Does the same anyplace there's water, and a boat sinks. Unfortunately, it's not burning, like one see in "Atlantic Fleet" -

Unfortunately, we've had to go to a subscription model. That means no more free downloads. You can purchase a subscription off the front page; look for the tab marked "Store" -

should be in the most recent (well, several years old ....) Scorpion packages. If not, I'll go through my mod fiddlers and find the specific one (it station specific for ONLY the 89s) EDIT: in this pack -

Why not just use the rockets I built for 89s? They have no drop, as they have a sustainer (cheat!!) and fly pretty straight with the stock gunsight. They act like bullets, and can actully hit a bomber sized target. Just my thoughts! (you're doing a hellava good job with these!! keep it up!) -

Well, for that, I"d need a Rolls Royce, to leave (abandoned) in the Himilayan foothills, like they did on Top Gear --- I"ll be over here in the corner, giggling to myself... -

why would you need rocket depression for air-to-air rockets??? Scorpions did NOT have a ground attack function. -

IIRC, i think TK once said the HasRWR=TRUE in the data ini was just for the AI planes. I could (and might) be wrong, though. Something about the 'players should always be aware/work. not so much for AI flightmates". -

Don't forget there's a screw up on terrains with 'directly called out and named' air defense units (SA-2, Barlock, etc). When that's used, the RWR goes dead. For some idiotic reason, only generic call outs activate the display (SAM_Launcher, ERW, Sam_Radar). Check, and try again on another map (with generics) and set Air Defenses to HEAVY -

...and just for grins and giggles after FINALLY figuring out how the TOD editor works, I've been looking over the India-Pakistan map, and rearranging the fugly TODs that I've hated from day one!! A major improvement in being able to have building ACTUALLY follow the street grid and not be all over the map (pun intended). Also will let me fix a bunch of things I never go right the 1st time -

Right! I meant the pylons on the bird. You can't remove them from the 142, as it's not an aircraft -

It never fit right, even in 1stGens. That's why I removed it. Best way, would be a new, correctly spaced/sized unit. Or, a new EF-4C specific aircraft lod, with it built in Pylons can be removed via the 'hide component trick' -

THIS statement says it all ... something got corrupted during the install of those other items. What you gotta do now, is rename that entire mod folder. Run the executable again, so it creates a NEW one. DO NOT ADD ANYTHING TO THIS NEW MOD FOLDER!!!!!!!! Play a few missions, testing that things are actually working as they're supposed to. Then, and ONLY THEN, start adding your mods ONE AT A TIME, following the instructions in the supplied readmes. Play a mission after adding each item. When, and if, things to south, you'll know where the problem is. Report back to us, if all goes well, or borks itself -

SF2 Sukhoi Su-7BMK Indian Air Force Pack (3W) 1/8/2025 -For SF2, Any and All (Full Merged Recommended) The pack contains 4 remade skins for the stock 3rd Wire Su-7BMK "Fitter-A" fighter-bomber as used by the Indian Air Force. It also includes Stary's cockpit, modified data, loadout and avionics inis. The aircraft is now Player Flyable (tm) As is to be expected on stock normally AI-only aircraft, a quick restore main ini is also included. It should also be stated, the 'game using' Main Ini, has been rendered "Read-Only", so as not to loose it's Player Flyable (tm) status. The included "make if flyable" parts can be used on any of the other Su-7s in the Game's Hangar. An SF2 version of my "box art" hangar screen is also included. The canopy opens/closes with the Standard Animation Keystroke (tm), Shift/0 (zero). The Indian Air Force squadrons represented herein are: No. 32 Sqdn "Thunderbirds"(Blu/Tan/Brn-71) No. 101 Sqdn "Falcons" (NMF) No. 221 Sqdn "Valiants" (Brn/Grn Camo -74) No. 222 Sqdn "Tigersharks"(Blu/Grn/Brn <71) The SF2 "date switch" is active, and will turn on the various skins on the year indicated above. 101 Sqdn, being NMF is the 'start at the beginning skin'. All markings are decals, with the exception of the national markings on #32 Squadron. All serial numbers (86 - all I could find) are 100% historically correct for this mark Fitter. Decal Randomization is TRUE. Unfortunately, I could not match serials with squadrons, so these serials are done "3rd Wire Style (tm)", being pooled for use on all 4 skins. As is always recommended, unzip to a temp folder or your desktop to give easy access to the rest of this readme for it's install instructions. The Change Log List is also in the Notes section. Where possible, I've included the original 1stGen readmes for historical credits. Happy Landings! Wrench Kevin Stein -

The OP's from Texas!! (at least the IP is) Now, if it was done with a southern Texas drawl ... that'd be ok. I have family in Dallas -

Change built-in nodes of a planemodel as selectable weapons - how to?
Wrench replied to Nyghtfall's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Mods & Skinning Discussion
If it's part of the main LOD, you can remove with the ye ole remove component trick. but you can't add them back. you'd have to have two (or one large add-on LOD, like the IRM rails for the Pakistani J-6 Farmer), and add them via the normal way in the data and loadout inis. Obviously, you'd need someone to build the 2 gunpods or one large set of gun pods. But you'd still need to "mount" the ammo someplace (ie: 2 seperate pods would be best) Then, they become just another weapon to be added. -
