  1. I'll try and write a tutorial up tonight, and have it in the Knowledge Base. To Simplify, you create a new folder of, say, WoE. Rename the Folder "WoE_WW2_ETO" copy EVERYTHING from your original install -- that means EVERYTHING -- all the sub-folders (flight, menu, effects, objects, sound, terrain -expecially the GermanyCE terrain- etc) to the new folder Delete all the 'modern' jets. Add WW2 European aircraft. (allied and axis) Add WW2 ETO ground objects (usually in the terrain, if using Edwards ETO map) Add WW2 ETO terrain (making whateve adjustment necessary to use the WoE GermanyCE.cat) Creat new shortcut to this install, call it "WoE_ETO".   3. I haven't had a chance to flly it much, but when I did I flew Red ... Boy!! did I get my a$$ handed to me!!! I just missed the perfect screenie, too -- I actuallty SAW the HAWK coming right at my face!!! Didin't have time to hit the button to take the picture...   4. If I understand the question correctly, I think he's asking why he's getting WW2 birds mixing up with late model Migs (or in the example, a J8M going after a Panther). Are your running ALL your aircraft in ONE install???? If so, you'll have to create a comeplely seperate WW2 installs for each main theatre (preferablly 3 -- ETO, MTO, PTO) otherwise you'll be running into the problems described. This has been repeated over and over and over --SEPERATE INSTALLS FOR YOU WW2 AIRCRAFT AND GROUND OBJECTS Once that's been sorted, you should have no problem taking you Spit up against Georing best (or your Corsair over the Solomons) It requires NO editing of the service years (unless you're extending WW2 in the 1946-48 regime ala SWOTL2), no messing around with anyting else, save correcting some loadouts for the Axis birds. The standard 6/06 weapons pak is used, as all the weapons and the nations using them have been corrected. It just requires a little extra hard drive space, and a little attentiion to details -- its not difficult at all. Wrench kevin stein
  5. You can change the loadout on the loadout screen; this can be done with any aircraft, that's how it works. You shold have pre-loaded the correct avi hump...why are you messing about with changing it on the laodout screen??? Just leave it alone...it's works fine as is As to the <empty> staton, is the little circle blacked out??? That means something is already loaded. Leave it alone. As you said: Then, obviously, the data in and loadout ini are working. the Min/Max extend positions are the the collision meshes, I think, they have no affect on the laoding or not loading of the hump. The only other thing you can try is this: AllowedWeaponClass=A4L that should force only the hump to load (although you might need to leave the EP callout) As to the Izumrud nose, that's all we got. There once was a time, that a real 17PFU was under construction, but that was several years ago, and I personally expect to see the 2nd Coming befor the real, fully built in 17PFU's arrive.   9. F-100D Super Sabre (stock 3rd Wire) As issued, in game, the stock loads are 99.9% perfect. If you wish, you can just leave them alone. This little mod was created by me almost 3 years ago, and will give a more 'Nam-ish' load, allowing a TER on the inboard stations for more iron bombs or CBUs. It is not necessary to use these tweeks -- you may leave the stock data and loadout inis as they came. This only gives more bombs.   10. The answer to both your questions can be found in the Knowledge Base 'Weapons and Loadouts', with special reference to the F-4F ICE Phantom II. If you'll look in the relelvant post (for the ICE) you'll find an alternate loadout with the IRIS-T set to load. For years prior to the IRIS's (IRISi??) being available, you'll get the standard 9L or 9M winder. You'll also find a section updating the data in as to sercive years.   14. I didn't do the Foxbat, as it needed no adjusting. the latest models are already set for WepPak usage. You may, of course, have at it man! But keep that doc open...I haven't even started on the French, Israeli, WW2 (all sides), other NATO forces, and a host of other aircraft (like the Century Series -- still have more) The KB is the purest example of a 'work in progress', as in this case, loadouts are always changing, being adjusted for suitability to mission type/nation, etc. Go for it, dood!!!   17. Thanks Hinch! I just couldn't remember who built it, I've had it since it first came out. Needs more operational guns, but the 109s will take off and land (although they look funny hopping on the deck,) I know the real 109T was a modded E with extened wingtips, and some kind of overwing spoiler, widened stance, but these do work. Now that there's a KM carrier, I've run into the same problem they did... how to use it!! Way too high value to put out into the Atlantic underescorted.... Guess I'll need to tweek a Stuka too....might has well give it some striking power! Wrench Kevin Stein

  20. It's like creating any other decal, except you'd need a LOT of them -- 99 to be exact!! It seems there are single marking for 1-9, then a single with "10", then a "10" with 9 singles, a "20", then the process repeats until "50" I can create you a single one with no problem; other than your aircraft would soon be COVERED in them... You want the standard 'black cross' or the 'twisted cross'??? From you post, I'm assuming you image program can't handlge tga's with alpha channel?? If you don't have Photoshop, you can try Gimp (I've never used it meself, but they say it's good) Wrench kevin stein edit: it seem edward has the situatiion well in hand!!!
  21. Found this link whilst searching... http://zcap.freeyellow.com/pix3.htm has some photos of F-4E's from the 3rd TFS at Clark Field, circa late 80/90s. It mentioned the deployment to Turkey. There alos seems to be 2 distincnt paint jobs -- the 3tone SEA style, which I'm assuming is 80s, and a 2tone gray, like the F-4G Weasels, probably 1990-ish?? More info is defianetly needed; photos, paint chips, whathaveyou My dad was through that area in 44/45, during the war (obviously!) Manila, Tacloban, etc. Wrench Kevin Stein

  24. That's because there aren't any Western AAA units, other than the M-55 Quad 50, M35 gun truck, M-163 Vulcan. Have you added any of the items from Pasko's SAMs and Vehicles Pak??? You'll find the M-42 Duster, M48A1 Chaparral (while in reality a mobile SAM, it's set as mobile AAA), a mod I did of the KS19 creating a US 90mm AA gun. In the WW2 side, you'll find the 40mm Bofors, 3.7in UK gun, plus all the German stuff. For the Red side...well, this list is extensive. All are available at my site (link below in sig), or here at CA in the non-aircraft objects section. You'll need the latest weapons pak for the guns and SAMs, but it should all just drop in. All vehicles in the pak I've uploaded are updated to the latest groundobject standard. Wrench Kevin Stein
