    Just a little mod of the cargo ship, using only the destroyed textures. Rust added by me. Creates a nice, rusted wreck to be placed along any coastline, for a little eye candy. Detailed instructions for adding in the enclosed WordDoc. This doc can also be used as a 'generic' tutorial for adding ground objects. Enjoy! Wrench Kevin Stein

One of these days, I'll have to write a quick tut on this, but here's a short version (with, the as usual Wrench Long Way Around): EDIT: there's actually instructions on adding a ground object in my "shipwreck". There's a WordDoc that has a lot of the explinations, and it's illustrated too! You can use the QMD to get a pretty good idea as the the location of a Target, but to get the actual 'offset' for the objects placement, you'l have to go in-game with the DisplayDeug= set to "TRUE" That gives the exact offset. The 'shipwreck' object should be here at CA, if not, it's at my site and I'll get it uploaded to here as well. Also, you can sneak a look into the WW2 maps (any of the PTO, and the MTO ones by Edward), and ther's parked aircraft on them. Be a simple job to 'borrow' their coordinates for any other, using the same airfield type. You'll just need to have the static aircraft listed in the ***_types.ini Wrench Kevin Stein

  12. OK...problem solved on the BundsLuftwaffe G... We need to create 'Western' version of the Soviet weapons. Wasn't there a discussion about that a short time ago, either here or at SimHQ???? Since this one is pure A-A, only 2 missiles need to be created. If anyone is interested, I can have both the C and G fixed and uploaded to the KB in a few hours (actually, the C is done...that one was easy.) It don't take no real time to do a 'creat copy' of weapon, and adjust the nation and attachment types. Odd about the gun though....even with the new wav, I still ain't got no sound. (Ed, didn't we go through that about a year and 1/2 ago???) I just use the 'cannon'. We'll fix it later! Let's get it in the air with semi-accurate weapons! Cockpit tweek for ALL Seahawks that use the F-100D cockpt ini: In the nature of a shamless plug for CA's downloads section, there is a beautiful hi-rez F-100 cockpit available in the 'SF/WoV/WoE' Aircraft Cockpits section. I reccommend it highly, not just for the Seahawks, but for the Hun itself! If you have a copy of the F-100D_COCKPIT.INI already extracted, you'll need to copy/paste it into the main folder of each individual version of the aircraft: Ooppsy Edit: you only need to install it into ONE aircraft, when we're done with editing, you can copy/paste that 'fixed' copy into the others. RN/RNNAS/MF versions: Seahawk FB3 Seahawk FB5 Seahawk FGA 4 Seahawk FGA 6 Seahawk Mk.50 Seahawk Mk.100 Indian Navy: Seahawk FGA 6 IN Seahawk Mk.100 IN If you've not extraced the Hun's cockpit ini, please do so now, and place copies in the aircraft listed above. The primary reason for using the F-100's pit, is not everyone has WoE. Personally, I believe the Hunter pit would work superbly (and look "more British"), but for those folks without WoE, this is the 'next, best, closest' fit. Ok, on to editing.... Open up the F-100D_COCKPIT INI, and again, scroll down to the {CockpitSeat001} section. Copy/paste the date over the existing [CockpitSeat001] ModelName=f-100d_cockpit Position=0.0,2.56,0.56 Again, the pilot position is taken from the Seahawk's data ini, and is within a few centimeters Scroll down a little further to the "NightLightOn=" section and use this: NightLightOn=0.55 Like before, this will turn on the cockpit lights a little earlier. Now, for those fortunate enough to have WoE, you can pretty much do the same by using the Hunger FGA 9's pit. As usual, you'll need to extract the "HUNTERFGA9_COCKPIT.INI" from the objects cat, and place it into the Hunter FGA9, and also a copy into one of the 'hawks above. I'd also reccomend extracting the "HunterFGA9_sight.tga" and place it into the /cockpit folder. For some reason, the game wants the sight tgas IN the pit folder. Ok, let's edit this one. You'll be doing editing on the usual items; data and loadout inis, plus we're going to "peak & tweek" the cockpit and avionics too. So, lets get busy.... First, we're going to fix the Ekco radar pod. Copy the data below directly OVER the Ekco information in the weaponsdatat ini REMINDER: this is for the W.German version ONLY -- we'll fix the Indian Navy's version in another post. It will be the same fix, although just for India, with their specific attachments. You'll be re-using the same number in the weapons sequence, so don't remove that!! This aircraft, due to the need of a radar display, makes use of the F-104G's. We're not going to change that, although visually, it seem a little larger to me than it should. But, no matter.... If you have a copy of the F-104G_COCKPIT.INI already extracted somewhere, copy/paste it into the /SeaHawkMk.101's main folder, with all the other inis and lods and such. By doing this, the changes we're about to make will NOT affect any other aircraft. If you do NOT have the F-104G_COCKPIT.INI extracted, please do so now, and put it into the Mk.101's folder. Ok, open the cockpit ini in you'r text editor of choice. Scroll down until you see the "{CockpitSeat001}" section. We're going to adjust the pilot's positon to match that of the data ini (it's super close!), and also adjust the cockpit lights to have the turn on a little earlier. You can just copy/paste the info below over the existing.
