    Replacement Euro Green 170 gallon F-104G wing-tip drop tanks. This little package is designed to eliminate the 'upside/sideways/backwards/or whatever is wrong with the "Tank_F104G" that we've all been experiencing. Using a repainted bmp, and the stock 3rd Wire 104G tank lods, this should correct the problem of having the fins pointed in the right direction The only problem that still exists, is that I haven't been able to quite figure out the bmp mapping to have the '2 tone', euro green upper and neutral gray unders. To that end, I've enclosed a PhotoShop psd template, that I created, so someone with a little more skill at that can finish it perfectly. This will update the latest Weapons Pak, circa 6/2006 These tanks can be used on BOTH the stock 3rd Wire F-104G, and the one build by Ajundair. Designed for use with German, Italian or Dutch Euro camo schemes. Full, detailed instructions in the enclosed readme -- PLEASE read and follow them, as you'll be using the weapons editor.   4. haven't you ever heard of those 'underwater bridges'??? No, seriously, in SEA the NVA/VC used to build bridges below the waterline, but shallow enough for vehicles to not be fullly submerged. Made it harder the us to knock down. Maybe Saddam was just following a trend......be an awfully big bridge though... The actual problem is in the movements ini, they 'route' is wrong, (ie: misplaced coordinates) that should be moved inland several kilometers. Several CAS missions do that too...especially near Kuwait City. As to the destroyers, perhaps is model problem (lod issue). It may not have a damaged or destroyed lod. I take it from your description, they don't sink at all??? Maybe they've run aground??? As long as you're getting credit for the kill, I wouln't worry. Wrench Kevin Stein
  5. The tanks are a know issue (ie: inside oout/backwards, whatever) I've got some new tanks done to replace the 'F-104G Euro Green' done, I just have to write up a read me and upload them. The only thing is, I haven't totall figured out the mapping, and their ALL green, without the gray unders. The new tank pak will include a psd file, for anyone who want to fix the mapping But they LOOK correct. They're based off the original 3W lods. With luck, I'll get them up loaded tonight.   7. Did you install the WW2 nations ini, and ww2 formations ini???? The WW2 birds won't work with the 'stock' stuff, as things were done a little differently then. I beliveve they are packed together, you should be able to find it in the SF/WoV/WoE downloads section under 'Object Mods' , or do a search for "WW2 Formations" Wrench kevin stein

  10. I see the problem!!! You forgot the add "IRM" to the wingtip stations. Why not just use the weapons staions data I posted in the KB, it's all fixed up. If you're using the weapons pak, you can delete all the nations EXCEPT USAF (for all them), but leave W_GERMANY for the inboard stations, if you want to load Kormorans Wrench kevin stein

  12. Nick, I added a HAWK unit to one of the airbases, can't remember which; I'll have to go back over the targets ini to find which one,and post the generic offsets. Still has the oddness of not showing all the objects, too Interesting to note, the "one terrain" being worked on, even though it only has 60 target areas, there are several with 280-odd individual targets, and another with 380+ individual units. And that one works fine. There may be an upper limit to amount of target areas. Wrench kevin stein

This is to let everyone know that, yes, the wingtip tanks ARE backward/upsidedown/not-quite-right I'm working on a fix for this, using the stock 104G tank lods...just have to get the skin mapping corrected, and the new one will be uploaded with full instructions for replacing the 'Euro Green' F-104G camo tanks. btw, the stock natural metal tanks are correct, but just look funny on a camo bird. I hope to have something in the next few days, with any luck and the river don't rise (or as the case is here in Los Angeles, the city don't burn down!) Wrench Kevin Stein

  15. That most certaintly does look like an unfinished cockpit lod....too bad!! I agree, it would be nice have a finished version. But the Mirage III should do pretty nicely as a 'stand in'. Just don't forget the adjust the "pilotposition=" in the cockpit ini so you aren't sitting (either) inside the wings, or in front of that pointey nose!! --OUCH!!-- Wrench kevin stein

  17. Considering we don't hve the Mil 2, 4, 8, or 17, it might be a little hard. Helos have always been a 'second sting' in the SF series, as their FMs are mostly 'best we can do', since the game dosen't acutally support rotary wing (mostly cheated with calling it 'thrust vectoring') But, the other Mils would be nice to have for targets.....   19. Soulfreak: all but the USAF 104C-10 are now in the KB Weapons/Loadout thread. Still trying to figure out if I want the 'winder on the wing pylon or wingtip. Can't find any pics to go either way (well, actually, all the photos show NO 'winders...just fuel tanks!!) I've still to test/adjust the JASDF versions, but they should just need the NATO switched to USAF, as far as I can tell from a quick look. Wrench Kevin Stein

Cockpit Tweek for ALL of Ajundair's Starfighters (by 3rdWire) A few patches ago, TK & Co tweeked the pit, activating several gauges that weren't working before (oil pressure, oil quantity, 2ndary ADI) Basically, there are 2 way to do this: Easiest way to do this, is to just change the CockpitDataFile= line in each of the add-on Starfighters main ini (ie: F-104D.ini) to point to the existing stock F-104G's. Since they all use the same cockpit, this should present no problem. The other way to do it, is extract the F-104G_COCKPIT.INI from the object.cat, and place a copy in each of Ajundair's Zippers. Then simply rename to fit the current aircraft (ie: F-104D, TF-104G, etc). This way, albeit more work, will allow you to also make the following tweek to the cockpit lights, to get them to turn on a little earlier: NightLightOn=0.55 Other than that, that's all you need!   21. F-104S-ASA Starfighter (by Jet-Z, Crab_02, and a host of others?) It should be noted this is NOT the ASA-M version; this Zipper still has it's ground attack capabilites. It would actually be a pretty easy fix to create the pure interceptor version. Using the avionics70.dll, and updated HUD and avionics (including all the various tgs and bmps from the F-15) But that's the subject for another day...   22. F-104S Starfighter (by Ajundair) Included in the weapons pak is an item called "F-104S". This is the pylon package, so to speak, for the Sparrow/Aspide missiles (and I'm sure something else).   25. F-104D Starfighter (by Ajundair) A little research went into this one, I gotta tell you. Basically, the D is similiar to the C and TF models, but is fully combat capable (according to Baugher's site). The only thing is, due to the addition of the second cockpit, there is no gun. Also, nothing was mentioned about the use of the lower Sidewinder rails, other than (in the case of the C), they weren't used very often due to dust and dirt pitting the seeker heads of the missiles.
