  1. F-4E Phantom II, RAAF

    F-4E Phantom II, RAAF

For SF2 (any and all, Merged or not)

This mod creates a 'stand alone' aircraft, using all in-house/in-game stock bits, to recreate the 24 Phantoms used (for a short time) by the RAAF.

All new, 100% historically accurate serial number decals have been created for all aircraft. Data ini edits change (essentially) nothing, but nationalizing the aircraft to Australia. A new userlist is incuded -- the only real changes are that I 'cheated' and extended the EndServiceYear to 1980. The canopy is active via an animation key; use shift/0 to open and close it.

As the standard, garden variety F-4E (no year suffix!) exists in all versions of the game, this mod should pose no issues whatsoever for those that (for whatever reason) have not merged their SF2 installs. These would be, in Real Life ™, the 1969 Model year Phantoms (hence, they're spurious A69 RAAF coding)

You can use this pak in one of two ways:
    1) Stand alone aircraft (as designed), or
    2) additional skin/decal set for the F-4E. If done as an additional skin, a decals ini just for that has been provided.

A new userlist has been created, extending the operational years past what is historical. (Australia is actually listed on the F-4E's userlist, but only for a very few years 70-73). They now are operational from 1970-1980.

As always, READ the enclosed readme for full, detailed instructions. This package has been broken down into the various folders that SF2 needs/requires/should have, to make it a LOT easier to install. Also, as usual, the expected 'Notes and Other Nonesense' comments by me.

  2. EF-4C Phantom Wild Weasel IV for SF2

EF-4C Phantom II (Wild Weasel IV)

    -- For FULL-4 Merged SF2 (Prefered) and/or SF2:V =ONLY=!!!

First off, it should be stated that =ANY= of the SF2 series that have the F-4C_67 in their aircraft list, will be able to use this mod. Check your in-game player-flyable list to be certain.

This is a semi-major overhaul of the EF-4C as released in 2004, based off the stock F-4C. THIS version uses the stock SF2/2V, etc, F-4C_67 version and accomplishes pretty much the same thing. Almost all decals are from the original version by Crab02, etal. The only new decal is the tailcode/fin color flash, and that one is based of a stock F4SqTail from 3rdWire, redrawn to add the proper squadron ZG code. Loadouts are all stock items, so no weapons pak is even required. The canopy is activated via an animation key; use Shift/0 to open and close.

Mission statement have been reduced to "SEAD" and "RECON" (although, for a specalized, high value aircraft like this, even RECON is suspect). I was unable to find more information as to if the EF-4Cs were use for anything other than SEAD (unlike the F-105F/Gs, that were sometimes used for regular STRIKE missions)

As always, READ the enclosed readme for full, detailed instructions. This package has been broken down into the various folders that SF2 needs, to make it a LOT easier to install.

  3. F-4D (67) LORAN Equipped

    F-4D Phantom II, LORAN Pak

    -- For FULL-4 Merged SF2 (Prefered) and/or SF2:V --

(it can acutally be used in any SF2 install that has the access to the F-4D_67)

This is a repackaging of the MPPD's F-4D Loran equipped Phantom, originally made for WoV, into a stand alone package for the SF2 series. While designed for mostly SF2:V, they can be used (as stated above) in any install that can access the F-4D_67. REMINDER- this is the ORIGINAL Loran pak, not the Night Owl skin pak.

All inis, decals and skin bmps are inculded. As it makes use of all stock items, minimal changes have been effected. In fact, the decals themselves have been pared down, due to the fact that I modified 2 of the skins to now have painted-on slimers, thereby reducing the package size.

The canopy has been activated via a manual animation key. Use Shift/0 to open/close it. A minor adjustment to the loadout ini has been made, 'upping' the STRIKE bombs to M-117, 750 lb bomb. The SUU-23 gunpod, while probably not used all the time, is carred for all but one mission profile (Long Range), due to the need for the centerline tank.

Included is mppd's original F-4D LORAN readme, full of historical details.

As always, =READ= the enclosed readme for full, detailed instructions. This package has been broken down into the various folders that SF2 needs, to make it a LOT easier to install (read: drag and drop).
Again, as usual, the expected "Notes & Ramblings of a Madman" section for fun.

    Enjoy!

  4. F-86 Sabre Pack, Pakistani Air Force

F-86 Sabre Pack, Pakistani Air Force

    = For SF2, Any & All =

-An additon for the India-Pakistan Mod-

This package contains 2 complete aircaft mods of Sabres for the PAF:

F-86F, as delivered 1957 (in natural metal)
CL-13B Sabre 6 as "delivered" via Iran in the mid-1960s.

The Sabre 6 comes with 2 skins, Euro camo and overall green for No.18 Squadron. All serials
for both versions are 100% historically correct.
New skins for all were created using ravenclaw's beyond superb templates. All skins are in
jpg format. Decal randomization is true. New DDS damage textures are included, as are all new
SF2-style Hangar and Loading Screens. No weapons are supplied, other than the drop tanks, as
these use all stock in-game items.

An all new, SF2-compliant FM was created for these aircraft; it flys like it should!

As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. Please READ
them! Also, the "Notes" section for a more detailed change/correction list.

  5. OA-4M Skyhawk, for SF2

    OA-4M Skyhawk by triplethr3at/pappychksix/Fracture

    = For SF2, Full-4/5 Merged (Reccomended/Preferred) =

** The Full-4/5 Merged is a requirement, as the A-7D_78 cockpit is referenced for the Mod
    (SF2:E??).
If you don't have these minimum requirements, you shouldn't download this, as you
will not be able to use it.**

This is an overhaul of triplethr3at's SF2 USMC OA-4M Skyhawk FAC/Attack aircraft. All the
inis have been brought up to the latest (as of July, 2012) standard. Some modifications to
the avionics are existant more for 'playability' (meaning: it's far more capable then the
    Real Life ™ aircraft).

Loadouts use all common or garden variety stock 3W weapons. It is set to fly all mission
profiles as any other standard Scooter (with the exception of carrier basing). Decal
randomizations is implemented, and all skin maps are jpg.
The avionics hump, while not fitting quite as nice as I would like, and the
'probe/antenna/blister combo kit' are attached via the Fake Pilot Method ™*
New damage textures (dds) and a new SF2-style hangar screen are included. Data ini
modifications using the 'Remove Component Trick**' eliminate the shadow tractor beams from
the outer pylons as seen on other mods using the TA-4J LOD.

The Threat Library also makes use of dtmdragons' extensively expanded list (not included). A
userlist is included, even though the aircraft has only one User (USMC). SF2NA style Carrier
statements are listed in the Data ini, but commented out; as I was unable to determine if
these ever were flown from The Boats.

As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. So,
please read them. Also, give the "Notes" section a read too. More interesting and perhaps
    vital info there, as well.
Triplethr3at's original readme is included for histerical purposes.

  6. AC-47 MiniGun Pak Upgrade

    AC-47 'Spooky' Minigun Model Pak

    = For SF2, Full-4/5 Merged, Plus Expansion Pak 1 =

    *Designed with SF2:V in mind*

A small update for the recently release AC-47 Spooky. This little mod adds the physical model (Lod) for the 7.62 miniguns, so they show sticking out of the fuselage. These have been added using the FakePilot method, so the "vitural" guns still remain active.

The AC-47 Pak can be found here:

    http://combatace.com/files/file/12984-douglas-ac-47-spooky-gunship-for-sf2/

You'll be applying =THIS= package directly over the existing one, as a new data ini is supplied that mounts the guns. I've also changed the cockpit pilots back to the stock 'bone-dome' versions, as those are more correct.

The new miniguns and fakepilot are supplied, so not to worry when installing.

As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. Please read them!
Also, PLEASE read the "Notes" section -- vital information in there that might assist you in playing this aircraft.

With extra special Thank Yous to RussoUK for whipping out the Lod in Max ... this really "ups" the look of the aircraft.
As time permits, the AC-47 Full Package will also recieve this update.

minimum requirements, you shouldn't download this, as you may not be able to use it withOUT heavy editing **

This is a overhaul of Fracture/pappychksix' IDF TA-4H Skyhawk trainer/attack aircraft. All the inis have been brought up to the latest (as of July, 2011) standard. Some modifications to the avionics are more for 'playability', as research showed these most likely did not have an RWR (but knowing the Israelies....). The
standard NAV/Attack radar, yes. Loadouts use all common or garden variety stock weapons. It is set to fly all mission profiles as any other standard Scooter..
New damage textures (dds) and a new SF2-style hangar screen are included.

Please note, that like the TA-4J recently released, the very same shadow issues =WILL= be present, as it uses the TA-4J's lod. You'll just have to live with that (see Notes below)

  8. Douglas A4D-1 (A-4A) Skyhawk Pak for SF2

    Douglas A4D-1 (A-4A) Skyhawk
    - For SF2 (Any and All, but Full-4 Merged Prefered*) -

*Note: this makes use of the A-4B lods, that are stock in most installs (SF2 & SF2:V).These and the cockpit may not be available in un-mergerd, stand alone SF2:E and most definately not in SF2:I. Hence, the 'Full-4 Merged Prefered' tag.*

The decal sets are taken from the various 1stGen mods of the A-4A, and where necessary I've redone the skin bits, using SF2 A-4B skins to bring them to SF2 standards.
This package included 4 skin and decal sets:

    VA-43 Challangers (Gitmo, 59)
    VA-72 Bluehawks (1956)
    VA-93 Blue Blazers (1956)
VMA-224 Bengals (MCAS El Toro, 1957)

The VA-72 is my original from (whenever); the others were done by some talented folk I've not be able to ID -- as I lost the original readmes (if any). So, the credit is theirs for those skins/decals. I just edited things to fit. Where needed, created new decals.
Decal randomization is set to TRUE, so make sure you're at least at the July 2011 patch level (or whichever one it is...).

Data ini edits remove the refueling probe. The inis included herein are the latest, as of the August 2011 patch. All loadouts are stock ala the A-4B. The canopy is activated via manual animation, use Shift/0 to open and close. The landing light has also been added.

As always, fairly easy to follow, detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them .... Of course, the usual "Notes" section. These will give you a nice mid-1950s collection of USN Light Strike aircraft for use in various "hot spots" of the time period.

    NOTE:
with the release of the DLC A-4A, this mod became moot. However, the skins and decals can easily be adapted for use on that DLC.

  10. SA-341 Gazelle for SF2

    SA-341 Gazelle Helicopter by Kesselbrut

    = For SF2, Any & All =

Some revamping for Kesselbrut's fine little light attack/observation helicopter, with some upgrades for SF2.
This is the complete aircraft, with all the necessary bits; weapons (some new!), pilots, sounds, etc, ready to unzip and install. A full 'changelog' is in the "Notes" section below.
Along with the orignial skin (for the Falklands), 5 new skins have been created, thanks to Sundowner finding the templates!
    They are:

    French Army (overall green)
Desert (overal tan with Generic nation tag)
Desert 2 Tone (green/tan, with Generic nation tag)
Green (overall, with Generic nation tag)
Euro Camo (with Generic nation tag)

All skins are in jpg format.
Decal positions have been plotted , so when selecting a service, the appropriate insignia will appear. Those skins with the 'generic' tag will show the correct insignia, and can be used as the base to build specific nations.
On the subject of decals, no individual numbers are supplied, nor their positions plotted. But that should be fairly easy, given 'known' positions.

As always, fairly easy to follow, highly detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them. Also, give the "Notes" section a read too. The original release readme is also included, for historical purposes

The miniguns are supplied as a weapon, but exist 'virtually' in the aircraft body (no physical lod). "Parachute" illuminator flares are also supplied for those pesky night interdiction missions.

  12. American SouthWest - Ver 2.0

American SouthWest Terrain, Version 2.0 for SF/WoE/ WoV and probably WoI, FE and SF2

This is a complete rebuild of the terrain originaly released in Feb 2008. It has been completely retiled, and has had a MAJOR upgrade in the targetization. It is designed to COMPLETELY replace that original version. It has been fully updated to use in the post-patch world.

This semi-fictional terrain represents Southern Texas and part of Northeastern Mexico (Tampilas/Monterrey) region, along with part of the western Gulf of Mexico. I use the term 'semi-fictional', as for the most part, the cities and airfields are relatively close to their real life locations, but some fictional target areas have been added for playability. I've designed this to be used in the alternative world of the "Global Sedition" vs the "North American Alliance"; it is, however, usable in any era from 1940-2040, with minor changes in the targets and types inis.

This is a COMPLETE package, with everything needed to just unzip, install, and fly over. All the tiles are included, including several (ie: MOST) repainted to a more 'lush' version. All new TODs have been created, so you'll see lots of trees and small buildings, including the 'skyscrapers' from Polak's city tod. Almost all the original Desert tiles have been repainted to more closely represent the semi-tropical/minimally arid region of the Texas Gulf Coast. Several rivers have been added, and they, for the most part, follow their Real Life ™ courses across the region. The "look" of the terrain should be something between the stock 'Desert' and the overly green of say, Deuces Euro Repaint and/or the GermanyCE terrain. In other words, semi-arid, but with plenty of growing things.

It is reccomended (read: REQUIRED) that you have Pasko's SAMs and Vehicles Pak installed in your GroundObject folder; either or both the Desert or Euro skinned vehicles, plus any additional vehicles such as Kesselbrut's ZIL truck pak, Infantry paks, Moonjumper's fix for the BM-14-16 (adds working Kytusha rockets) and any other SAMS or AAA, vehicles or whatever strikes your fancy. With such an 'open ended' time frame for use, any and all GroundObjects should be available for use.

It has been tested in SF, WoE and WoV, post 9/08 & 10/08 patch levels.. It should work in FE & WoI (also post Expansion Pak and Post Patch) with the correct cat pointer -- this has NOT been tested, however. It should also work in SF2, as long as you adjust the cat pointer lines in the main ini. Pre-patch users may have some issues due to the new way the Game Engine ™ reads/creates height field measurments. Enough data exists in the CA forums for find the anwsers on how to fix it, if needed.

As you've all come to expect, there's a HIGHLY detailed readme with all the "data and materials" necessary to get you up and running. I'd suggest reading it first, after unzipping to a temp folder somewhere

  13. Central Pacific/Mariana Islands for WW2 Installs

Central Pacific/Mariana Islands Terrain For SF/WoV/WoE WW2 PTO mods

This is a brand new terrain, built COMPLETLY from scratch. This is my very first whole terrain, so go easy on me ;) It represents the Mariana Islands approximately mid-1944, at the time of the American Invasion. This is a FULL terrain, with everything included for you to unzip and use, with minimal difficulty.

This is a fairly 'target rich' environment -- there are plenty of items for strike and anti-shipping missions. It is also fairly well defended - so watch out for the flak. There are also 2 completly NEW ground objects, creating via edits of existing terrain objects. They are now fully funcitonal 'obstacles' for infantry assaults. Also are mods of 2 of Hinchbrook's ships for USN usage.

You MUST have ALL the Pacific Objects (ground units, ships, AAA, infantry, etc) already installed in you PTO version of the game; otherwise things may not be appearing. This is especially important for the ships -- the Liberty ship, and all warships, both Allied and Japanese. It's HIGHLY reccomended you have Gepard's "Midway" terrain installed, along with his IJN/USN naval units -- I've made use of them for both Fleets. Don't forget to check Geo's page for more WW2 goodies ... there's a lot of stuff that's usable (and used!) here as well.

There ARE some historical flaws, which as most of you know gauls the daylights out of me; they are fully detailed in the "Notes & Explinations" section below.

The data ini has been upgraded to the semi-latest standards (ie: 2006 patch level). Water effects are active, so Vista users beware...more information for you is below in the Install Instructions. See "Notes for Vista Users". NOTE: this is NOT designed for the post patch world of 9/08 & 10/08!! The terrain's data ini does NOT have the new Height Data included!!! If you insist on using this mod in such an install, expect NO support from me. You're on your own...

= MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE LATEST WW2 FORMATIONS INI IN YOUR FLIGHT FOLDER =
== MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE LATEST WEAPONS PAK FOR THE WW2 WEAPONS!! ==

It has been tested in SF, WoV and WoE, using their cats pointed to in the main ini. As most of the new objects will be residing directly in the terrain folder, you should have no problems. (see the CombatAce Knowledge Base for the tutorial on using the cat pointer line). It has NOT, however, been tested in post 8/29/08 patch WoI or post patch (9/08 & 10/08) SF/WoV/WoE; it is NOT designed for useage in those type of game installs. If you choose to do so, expect NO support from me -- you're on your own. Nor is it designed for use in a 'modern era', as the airfields are far too small for field jets from.

Follow the instructions in the included readme =EXACTLY= and you should have no problems. It's HIGHLY reccomended you read this document completly through before installing this mod.

Hawaiian Islands Terrain -- For SF/WoV/WoE WW2 PTO installs

= For Game Installs -ONLY- patched to the 10/2006 level!!! =

This is an entirely NEW terrain, representing the Territory of Hawaii on the morning of 7 December, 1941.....

You MUST have ALL the Pacific Objects (ground units, ships, AAA, infantry, etc) already installed in you PTO version of the game; otherwise things won't be appearing. This is especially important for the ships -- More in the "Notes" section below.

This is a COMPLETE terrain, with (almost) everything needed to just unzip, and fly over. All the tiles, inis, terrain objects, and a whole SLEW of new GroundObjects are included!!!

The data ini has been upgraded to the latest standards. Water effects are active, so Vista users beware...more information for you is below in the Install Instructions. See "Notes for Vista Users". For those perverts that won't listen and absolutely INSIST on trying to run WW2 items in the post 9/08-10/08 SF/WoV/WoE and WoI environments, I've provided a 'post-patch-Hawaii_Data.ini', that includes all the updated terrain effects. More info for you all can be found in the "Notes & Other Nonesense" section below. Also, it should be noted the HM bmps for the various tiles are included; these are the ones I've repainted black, to create a smoother terrain.

=== MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE LATEST WEAPONS PAK FOR THE WW2 WEAPONS!! ===

It has been tested in pre-patch SF, WoV and WoE, using their cats pointed to in the main ini. As the new objects will be residing directly in the terrain folder, you should have no problems. (see the CombatAce Knowledge Base for the tutorial on using the cat pointer line). It has NOT, however, been tested in post 8/29/08 patch WoI, NOR in post-patch (9/08 & 10/08) SF/WoV/WoE. But should work with minimal problems, as long as one of the original terrain folders (SF/WoV/WoE) is residing in you WW2 WoI install. You do, however, use this in these environments at YOUR own risk -- any problems you have, you're on your own...no support is availabe from me, as it's NOT reccomended (due to FM issues in the aircraft) for those usages. I HAVE actually tested this in a post-patch WoI WW2 Install that I have, and other then the expected FM issues, it runs just fine!! Albeit with a little fiddling with the water issues...
This has NOT been tested in SF2 ... if you DO get a WW2 Era Specific Install up and running, let us know!

Follow these instructions herein =EXACTLY= and you should have no problems. It is HIGHLY reccomended that you read the install instructions all the way through FIRST before performing the procedure. Just to be safe, ya know??
As always, unzip this to a temp folder somwhere, and you'll have access to the rest of the readme for it's instructions.

= It should be noted here, that this Terrain is for WW2 usage ONLY -- if you attempt to fly modern jets from it, you will fail, as there are NO runways equipped to handle them. =

As always, unzip this to a temp folder somwhere, and you'll have access to the rest of the readme for it's instructions

  15. WW2 Palestine

WW2 Palestine Terrain For SF/WoV/WoE WW2 MTO Installs

    -06 Patch Levels ONLY!-

This is a modification of Gepard's "Suez" terrain, backdated for use in WW2 with the approximate timeframe of 1940-1946. Not a great deal of "enhancements" have been added, but you can expect the "usual suspects". Plus one 'generic' Easter Egg (one of the target areas, albiet slightly misplaced - bonus points for IDing its origination)

This is a COMPLETE terrain with all items necessary to unzip, install and fly over. All tiles and TODs are included, as well as several new-to-this-terrain Terrain Objects (buildings and the like) The targets, nations, briefing, movements and types inis have all been greatly expanded to reflect the timeframe. Place names have been adjusted to WW2 levels (where known and discoverable). All 3 levels are Planning Maps have also been newly created, just for this terrain mod.

The data ini has been upgraded to the semi-latest standards (ie: 2006 patch level). Water effects are active, so Vista users beware...more information for you is below in the Install Instructions. See "Notes for Vista Users". NOTE: this is NOT designed for the post-08 patch or SF2 "NextGen" series. The terrain's data ini does NOT have the new Height Data nor the background shader sections!!! (however, these are easily added if you're familiar with the varous terrain data inis, and how to 'update' them).

= MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE WW2 WEAPONS PAK !! =
= MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE LATEST, WW2 NATIONS INI IN YOUR FLIGHT FOLDER =
= MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE LATEST WW2 FORMATIONS INI IN YOUR FLIGHT FOLDER =
= MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE NECESSARY WW2 GROUND OBJECTS PAKS!! MOST IMPORTANT!!! =

It has been tested in SF, WoV and WoE, using their cats pointed to in the main ini. As most of the new objects will be residing directly in the terrain folder, you should have no problems. (see the CombatAce Knowledge Base for the tutorial on using the cat pointer line). It has NOT, however, been tested in post 08 SF/WoV/WoE/WoI or any of the SF2 'NextGen' series; it is NOT designed for useage in those type of game installs. If you choose to do so, expect NO support from me -- you're on your own. Although, it should work pretty well, in any case. Some data ini adjustments will probably be required for the additional effects. Although, for more "modern" times, I'd reccomend Isreal2 + the targets enhancement pak.

As always, it's reccomended you unzip this to a temp folder somewhere's thats easy to find. This will give you access to the rest of the readme for full, detailed install instructions and the Usual Notes and Other Ramblings...

Follow these instructions herein =EXACTLY= and you should have no problems. It's HIGHLY reccomended you read this document completly through before installing this mod. There is VITAL information herein about several items not included with this package.

  16. WW2 Tunisia/Western Med Update Pak

Tunisia Terrain & Targets Upgrade For SF/WoV/WoE WW2 MTO mods

This started out as a simple targets upgrade, and turned into a major rework of Edward's Tunisia Terrain for WW2. As you can expect, the targets have been greatly 'enhanced', with many additions, and most areas have been retiled for ease of targetization. The visuals (ie: the eye candy) has been enhanced by these revamped target areas. This will allow single mission and campaign builders more latitude in their creation of missions and campaigns. It also has the side effect of enhancing in-game generated single mission play, too!

This is a COMPLETE terrain, designed to REPLACE the original verison in it's entirety. It is also NOT compatable with any other terrain retiling or TOD mods to the original terrain that are presently available. All necessary parts are included; tiles, inis, LOTS of new terrain items, with the excpetion for some 'permission-only' GroundObject items. All new planning maps are also included. Also, there are at LEAST 3 Easter Eggs on the map. There are also several brand new tiles, and their associated TODs (new city ports and some other interestering items).

There ARE some historical flaws (and probably physical geographic ones as well!!); they are fully detailed in the "Notes & Explinations" section below. You may also experience extended or longer than usual loading times; this is normal due to the shear number of terrain objects on this map.

The terrain's data ini does NOT have the new Height Data included!!! It has been tested in 06 Patch Level WoE (my WW2 install of choice), using the cat pointer line to all the Origianl 3 ™ Terrain Cats (Desert, GermanyCE and VietnamSEA). As most of the new terrain objects and tiles are residing directly in the terrain folder, you should have no problems. (see the CombatAce Knowledge Base for the tutorial on using the cat pointer line). It has NOT, however, been tested in post-08 SF/SFG/WoV/WoE/WoI or any of the SF2 'NextGen' series; it is NOT designed for useage in those type of game installs. If you choose to do so, expect NO support from me -- you're on your own. Although, it should work pretty well in most case. Some data ini adjustments will probably be required for the additional effects. Consult the SF2 Knowledge Base at CombatAce for more information on "how to.."

  17. Formosa Upgrade 2: Airfields Fixes & Other Small Tweeks

Formosa Terrain Update -- Parked Aircraft Fixes (and some other stuff)

Yet more updating of the Formosa terrain, that adds game-generated parked aircraft to Gepard's NATO/WarPac style airbases that are used. Also included are some modified inis that create the LimitedNations (from my recently released pack), some additons to the _Types ini, some targeting tweeks, a 'generic' PLAN Destroyer, modified GermanyCE airbase inis, with increaed parking chances, and a few other little things here and there. You'll have to fly around to find them.

Designed for use with Stary's new terrain tiles, you should have his upgrade installed before adding this one. Although there is very little possibility of conflicts (as this was built with his new stuff in my terrain), it never hurts to be safe, huh??

Speaking of ground objects, you'll find as mentioned, a stand-in PLAN destroyer, inis for Grinch's Fletcher with a new UserList (these were in the Libya 3.75 upgrade, but some folks may not have installed them), AND... a working Silkworm launcher and Styx missile.

While designed for SF2 usage, all the inis are in ANSI, and can easily be used on 1st Gen SF/Wo* versions. However, the Styx missils IS set up for SF2 only. Those knowledgable with weapons editing can easily down-convert to 08 1st Gen levels.

As always, READ the enclosed document for full install instructions.

  18. Formosa Terrain, Limited Nations Tweek

    Formosa Terrain, Limited nations Fix

This little tweek for Gepard's Formosa terrain will add the LimitedNations usage, cutting down on the chance of any unwanted visitors to the playground showing up.

This mod consists of the Formosa.ini and Formosa_Nations.ini. Nothing anywhere else is changes; it only creates a 'fixed' number of countries that are allowed here. This tweek, while designed for SF2 series, will also work in SF/Wo* 1st Gens at the 08 patch level, if you've back-converted this terrain to work in 08s.

As always, it's suggested you read this little readme. It's acutally quite short and pretty easy to follow. For a change.

    No screenie included.

  19. Libya - Ver 3.75

Lybia Terrain; Updates, Fixes and Clean-Up For SF2 Series (& SF/Wo*, too!)

What started out as a simple, quick "Limited Nations" fix, turned into a semi-major overhaul. This includes some retiling, and some fairly major targeting fixes. It has NOT been completly rebuilt; there might still be a few cities in Libya that might need re-working, but I just didn't want to futz around with them. Also, several of the NATO side targets have been vastly improved upon and expanded. Since I totally lost track of WHAT I added, I've chosen to re-release this as a FULL terrain. It is designed to replace any and all other originals or mods, as everything has been incoporated to this version, plus some additiional stuff and thingys, including some GroundObject tweeks.

As stated above, this is the FULL terrain, with all internal objects needed. You simply need to unzip and install.

This terrain mod, while designed for SF2 merged installs, is easily back-dated for use in all 1st Gen SF/SFG/Wo* game installs at the 08 Patch Level. You'll just need to change the shader statments; instructions are below. Information on the GroundObjects are in the "Notes" section.

Also added are several new tiles, updating of some other tiles (to make them fit and look better), and LOTS of custom TODs for buildings and trees and such. For those that expect them, the 'Easter Eggs' on this terrian a the same as before, with the addition of a new billboard or 2.....

It is also reccomened you have the Pasko's Ground Objects, Kesselbrut's Vehicles Pak, Fast Cargo's SA-5s; in short any and all add-on SAMs, AAA, vehicles, ships, and whatnot from any and all other terrain mods. They are NOT all included. See "Notes" below for information about Stock & 3rd Party Ships. However, some modified data inis for stock and 3rd party AAA units are included, as they are now networked to a search/track/fire control radar.
Be advised, however, of the use of the "LimitedNations=TRUE" statement, thereby limiting WHO gets to play in this sandbox.

It is ALSO highly reccomended you READ this entire document through before installing this mod. If you don't, you're SURE to run into problems. And then, we WILL clown on you.

  20. Himalaya Terrain

Himalaya Terrain Updates, For SF2 Series (& SF/Wo*, too!)

I was unable to find the readme that came with Major Lee's original release, so this will have to suffice. This terrain was first released in 2004.

Some modifications and the like for Major Lee's Himalaya terrain, updating tileing, targeting, movements and suchlike. Designed for use in a Full-4 Merged SF2 install. It should, however, work just fine in standard unmerged installs, and with some editating, in all 1stGen series as well.

As stated above, this is the FULL terrain, with all internal objects needed. You simply need to unzip and install. Some new tiles have been added to make it look a bit more 'lived in', and several new target areas have been added (cause everyone needs someone to bomb...). All the inis have been updated, and a new Movements.ini created for CAS and Armed_Recon missions. This map also makes use of the LimitedNations and LimitedMissions statements for both sides, so you won't have any Anti-ship missions since the nearest ocean is like 1500+ miles to the south. You will also be extracting and editing the game's Nations.ini to add the new nation of Nepal. A new Nepalese ground unit is also supplied.

This terrain mod, while designed for SF2 merged installs, is easily back-dated for use in all 1st Gen SF/SFG/Wo* game installs at the 08 Patch Level. You'll just need to change the shader statments; instructions are below. No editing is necessary for the ground objects; other than having the guns and weapons for the infantry unit.

Also added are several new tiles, creating some cities, hills and mountains, rivers for the region, and filling in the Kathmandu valley with farms and fields. The northern, higher elevations (heading into Tibet and China), while having a city or 2, are still predominantly snow/rock fields. Some liberties have been taken with target placements, but they are named correctly, and more or less in their Real Life ™ locations. Give or take a few dozen kilometers, and several thousand meters in altitude. This terrain mod contains 2 of the highest altitude airbases in any mod ... fly accordingly!

It is ALSO highly reccomended you READ this entire document through before installing this mod. Especially the Notes section. If you don't, you're SURE to run into problems. And then, we'll clown on you. Hard and mercilessly.

  21. America Southwest (Texas/Mexico) for SF2

    America SouthWest Terrain

Updates, Fixes and Clean-Up For SF2 Series (Full-4 Merged Perfered)

What started out as a simple "straighten out some tiles and fix some target areas", turned into a massive revamp.... Like the original, it takes place in the post-WW3-ish world of the North American Alliance vs the Global Sedition. It is desigened for use any time period post-1950 through the present day (ala The Wingman series, or the TV series 'Jericho' or any of a number of post-apocalyptic movies, books or whathaveyous)

This is the FULL terrain, with some major changes updates, upgrades, etc. The targets, movements, data, types inis have all been expanded extensively. Massive retiling of a majority of the terrain will, hopefully, make it look a bit more like it's Real World ™ counterpart. Place names match the Real World; some however may be slightly displaced due to how terrains are built.

This is designed to REPLACE the original (and it's updates) in it's entirety, and is designed =ONLY= for use in SF2, preferably with a Full-4 Merged Install. This terrain makes use of the Desert cat to "pull" items from. It may work with the Germany or Vietnam, but this has NOT been tested. It will NOT work with the SF2:I Isreal cat. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO USE THE ISREALME CAT WITH THIS TERRAIN!!!The inis have been excessivly edited for use ONLY in the SF2 series. With Expert Level Knowledge on terrains/terrain ini editing, it =may= be possible to back-date/adjust for use in 1stGens. This has NOT been tested, and is NOT reccomended. Those that try, can expect 0, zilch, nada, =no= support from me on this issue. You're on your own -you have been warned.

Also added were many new tiles, updating/repainting of some other tiles (to make them fit and look better), and many new, custom TODs for buildings and trees and such. New planning maps have been generated as well. I'm trying out something 'new' on the symbols and labels, I hope you like it.

And, just for fun, I've included a variety of missions flown over this map. Remember, these are for a Full-4 Merged install, so those that are not merged, may not have all the aircraft available. It goes without saying, that those flown from the Red Side, you MUST have flyable MiGs in your install. They have been editated to make sure all aircraft are stock in a Full-4 Merged.

You will also be making some 'adjustments' to the FlightEngine.ini, with regards to expanding the map borders. This will eliminate certain 'issues' when flying near the map edges. Full, detailed instructions are below, in the "To Adjust Borders" section.

It is ALSO highly reccomended you READ this entire document through before installing this mod. If you don't, you're SURE to run into problems. And then, we'll clown on you. HARD, and mercilessly. As always, unzip this archive to a temp folder or you desktop to gain access to the full readme, and the files herein. Again, as always, there's a "Notes & Other Nonesense" section with explainations and other ramblings.

  22. DBS Limited Nations Tweek

Danger: Bering Straits Nations Fix for SF2 series -ONLY-

Just a small package of 2 inis, that activate the "LimitedNations" statement for the Major Lee's DBS terrain.

This will now effectively "cut off" any nations for single mission play that shouldn't be seen in the region. Obviously, one would NOT expect to find Isreali, North Vietnamese, Belgian, Lybian or anyone else that just plane shouldn't be there.

The nations have been limited to the "usual suspects" for the region:

    USAF
    USN
    USMC
    RCAF (CAF)
    and
    Soviet

Nothing else has been changed, just the players on this playground. So, =all= the normal mission statements (CAS, Sweep, Anti-Ship, etc) are active as normally seen.

It's reccomended for use with the 2 updates that have been released for DBS, and you should have them already before installing this mod:

Bering Straits Terrain Targets Upgrade Pak

    http://forum.combatace.com/files/file/7684-bering-straits-terrain-targets-upgrade/

    Bering Straits Water Fix Mod

    http://forum.combatace.com/files/file/10787-dbs-water-fix/

While designed for SF2 series, it will most likely work in SF/Wo* 1stGens at the 08 patch level that can take advantage of the limited nations statement. However, this has =NOT= been tested. Those that do install to first gens, feedback is requested.

As always, a simple and easy to follow readme is enclosed -- so read it!!! You're actually only changing 2 files, but I'm from the world of CYA, so... READ IT!!

  24. WW1 Palestine Terrain

WW1 Palestine Terrain For First Eagles 2

This is a modification of my WW2 modificaton of Gepard's modern "Suez" terrain, backdated (once again!) for use in WW1 with the approximate timeframe of 1914-1918. It is designed ONLY for FE2, as it takes advantage of the DX10 shaders and such. It may be possible to use in FE/FEG, but this has NOT been tested, and is NOT reccomended. Without some editing to the terrain's data ini (as it's been updated to NextGen standards), it will most likely 'have issues'. Those VERY familiar with terrain ini editing are welcomed to try; you can, however, expect NO support from me. You're on your own...

This terrain REQUIRES the Desert terrain cat (or equlivant) to be present in your FE2 core install's /Terrains folder. -IT WILL NOT WORK WITHOUT IT!!- It has been tested with both the 1stGen SF Desert and extensivelly with SF2's Desert cat. You MUST have either SF or SF2 to copy the Desert terrain cat to you FE2 install. More details are in the "To Install" and "Selecting the Proper Terrain Cat" sections.

The targets and types inis have been extensively edited for to (hopefully) remove most of the 1940s-era items, and all the airfields have been replaced with stock WW1 types. The game-generated parking slots have also been edited to increase the number of parked aircraft (Unlimited Ground Objects setting only). While not a perfectly historical map some 'suspension of disbelief' will be required for play. As is true with all games...

There are several Ground_Attack routes for Army Co-Operation missions, as well as plenty for truck routes for Armed Recons. If shipping ever gets turned back on in First Eagles, there are shipping routes as well. However, there ARE several docked ships, and some 'convoy stations' for Strike missions (again, with these ittybitty bombs, don't expect to sink Naval vessels). Campaign builders, feel free to make whatever changes necessary to fix any an all errors I've created <grin>. Unlike my WW2 mods, I didn't research this one as intensely.
New planning maps have been generated, but these are 'plain', with no cities or aerodromes shown; just the land and sea.

Several new(ish) GroundObjects are included (ships for the most part), and several new guns for said ships, as well as 2 modified data inis for Geo's French 75 and German 77 mm artillery guns. Yes, they DO work! Weither they hit anything or not.....<grin>. It is also HIGHLY suggested you wander over to Geo's site and get the original WW1 objects, as they'll be needed here. Link is below

Geo's WW1 Ground Object Paks available at his site:

    http://www.geos-aircraft.com/

You might also want any other ground objects that are available, such as infantry or whathaveyous.

As always, it's reccomended you unzip this to a temp folder somewhere's thats easy to find. This will give you access to the rest of the readme for full, detailed install instructions.

Follow these instructions herein =EXACTLY= and you should have no problems. It's HIGHLY reccomended you READ this document completly through before installing this mod. As always, there's the usual "Notes" section for notes, explinations, clarifications and demystificatons.

  25. SF2 Update, Modern Darwin terrain

    Modern Darwin Terrain, Update Pak

For SF2 - Full-4 Merged Reccomended (but not fully required)

This is an update pak for the Modern Darwin/Timor terrain I released in 2009. It is designed to replace some small bits inside, so you =MUST= have the 2009 update pak for this terrain to install -this- package into.
You can find it at the following URL (this is the complete terrain, WITH tiles):

    http://combatace.com/files/file/6089-modern-darwintimor/

This pak updates several inis to SF2 levels, adds a few little fixes to some terrain objects, and for the 12/2010 patch, adds the _Water.bmp that the new mission builder requires. Targeting remains the same, although the Runway2 has been 'repaved' to a full concrete/macdam surface (no more dirt). Some "other items" have also been updated.

The LimitedNations statement has NOT been added, so anyone and everyone can fly here.

As always, unzip this to a temp folder or your desktop, and you'll have access to the rest of the readme for it's instructions. REMINDER: this is NOT for the DAT's Timor terrain in their all-inclusive "Wings Over Timor" mod!!! This is for the terrain update listed above ==ONLY==!!!!
