  2. Templates for 3W EA-6B Prowler

This pack contains the 2 templates you'll need for reskinning the SF2NA Prowler.

This pak contains ONLY psd templates for:

    EA-6B_texture3
    EA-6B_texture6

as the mapping on the others (1,2,4,5) use the same as the standard A-6. So, don't forget to get the templates for A-6E TRAM, also available someplace within this section (SF2, Utlities/Tools)

As they stand, they're quite basic. As always, further improvements and enhancements are WELCOMED and more than encouraged!!

  3. Templates for 3W Harrer GR1

Someone requested these, so I'm uploading them.

These are HomeGrown ™ templates, based off the original 3W skins, with redrawn panel, rivet lines and some weathering and staining. I've left all my layers intact, so you can use or not use whatever you like!

Standard photoshop PSD format. Mapping appears to be identical to the WoE AV-8A/Harrier GR.1 (I haven't really checked this, but it 99.999999999999999%)
no readme, as these are templates, and those that know how to use them, don't need a read me!

  4. Templates for Pasko's Ju-87 Stuka

Template Pak for Pasko's Ju-87 Stuka

    -something for the WW2 skinners-

A "Home Grown" set of 3 psds for this aircraft. Usable in both SF/Wo* and SF2.
Unfortunaly, when I made them some years back, I left them in their 512x512 size. They may need resizing.

All have new panel and rivet lines. There are only 3 templates, as aircraft model is mapped in such an way that the right and left wings are identical; so when saving off the left wing psd, save as.." rightwing"

any and all improvement are welcomed!!!

  6. The Fighter Bowl

"The Fighter Bowl" Terrain for SF/WoE/WoV and Probably SF2, WoI & FE

This little terrain idea came to me, literally, in the middle of the night. It's just a very basic terrain, with only 2 airfields (the Large Runway 4 so anything can operate from it) per each side, a few cities, some rivers and an oceanic feature in the center. It is designed with multi-player in mind, hence it's name "The Fighter Bowl", where opposing Teams can have it out with each other.
There are also multiple Truck Routes, some Ground Attack (ie: CAS) and shipping lanes across the Saknuseum Sea. Think of this as a complimentary terrain to both The Ranges, only you'll have Opposing Force Air Units to bug you. To add a bit of sci-fi-ishness, on the central island is the "Citatel of the Adjudicators", a Neutral Party that judges the competitions. Think of them as the Referees of Global Confrontation ... whomever wins in The Arena, gains whatever world-goal they were seeking.

The terrain is supposed to look like an extreamly LARGE impact feature on the earth's surface (ie: a 200+ kilometer diameter crater/caldera), with a central sea. Think of the Manicougan crater in Canada, only several HUNDRED orders of magnitude larger. It's mostly ringed with mountains, but is other wise relatively flat across The Bowl. Also relatively featureless, with only a few deep canyons or other erosive features in the "playing field".
This is a complete terrain, with everything needed to just unzip and (hopefully) run with no problems.

There are NO major air defense units, other than those as usually seen around the airbases. A few have been placed at the 'cities', but AAA units ONLY -- to repeat, there are NO SAM batteries emplaced on this map. That would take away from it's intended use as a major Dogfight or Co-Op Arena.
There is, however, as you've all come to suspect (and/or rather, expect...) one major Easter Egg on this map, and one very small one. They're built directly into the terrain itself, and should be pretty easy to find. If you look for such things...

I'd also like to apologize for the lously planning maps ... for some reason, the SFMap generator didn't see what was supposed to be "sea" as anything other than land -- that's totally my fault, in a lack of under standing how exactly the Height Field is read. Had to paint the Saknuseum Sea in by hand, so expect some placments to be a bit 'off' on the planning maps. Sorry!

= This has been tested in WoE (my main Laboratory of choice..) There should also be no problems running it in SF or WoV. It should also work in WoI and First Eagles, but you'll still need one of the Original 3 Terrains ™ for the terrain cat reachback. This, however, has =NOT= been tested. You use it in these games (WoI & FE) at your own risk.
For SF2 users ... don't know what you to tell ya...you're on your own, but you should have any major problems =

As per usual, the expected readme with all the (un)necessary information needed to install and blah blah blah balh

  8. TMF's Mirage F.1C for SF2

    Dassault Mirage F.1C by TMF

For SF2 (any and all, Merged or not)

This is a semi-complete upgrade of The Mirage Factory's Mirage F.1C to SF2 standards.I call this 'semi-complete', as some tweeks are still needed (see "Notes" below). A cockpit upgrade, loosly based on my AMI F-104S-ASA-M adds a working HUD for all modes, various A-A modes, and Ground Mapping. Some functions may be too modern, but hey, it all works!!! The cockpit is still the Zippers, as originally released with. A new userlist ini is also included, with hopefully everyone and fairly close operational years. A new SF2 style Hangar screen is also included!

Several weapons are included, from the GunnyPak. Loadouts are set for mostly French weapons, with the occasional NATO slipping in (Sidewinders in the early operational years). (see Notes for comments on the desert skinned drop tank)
Skins and decals included in this pak are from (iirc) the original release, and maybe some others:

    AdA Blue
    EDA Camo
    Greece Blue
    Desert

As always, READ the enclosed readme for full, detailed instructions. This package has been broken down into the various folders that SF2 needs/requires/should have, to make it a LOT easier to install. Also, as usual, the expected 'Notes and Other Nonesense' comments by me. PLEASE read them.

With special Thanks to TMF & Sony Tuckson for giving permission to modifiy and upload.

  14. Tu-142 'Bear-F", Indian Naval Air Service

Tu-142 'Bear-F', Indian Naval Air Service
    = For SF2 series Games, Full 5 Merged and/or SF2NA ONLY!! =

-An addition for the Indo-Pak Mod-

*As stated above you MUST have a Full-5 Merged install with SF2:NA to gain access to the Tu-95RT lods this mod requires. If you do not meet this minimum requirement, do =NOT= download this, as you'll be unable to use it.*

Ini mods, redecaling, etc, of the stock SF2NA Tu-95RT recreate (a passble) Tu-142 Bear-F as used by 312 Squadron "Albatross" of the INAS. All textures are jpg format; this should pose no issues for users at the latest patch level (April 2012 or later)

Although a cockpit IS provided, it's "suggested" that the aircraft be left under AI control. Several 'issues' have recently appeared on non-radar equipped cockpits for player use. I built this, basically, to have something 'interestering' parked around the large airbases.

As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. Please READ them!
Also, the "Notes" section for more details, as there are a few small differences in the INAS Real Life ™ version, from the 3W one.

  15. Tu-4 Bull AWAC

    Tu-4 Bull AWAC for SF/WoV/WoE/WoI

This is a modification of MontyCZ's Tu-4 into a reasonable facsimile of a long-range airborne radar equiped version. I say 'reasonable', as I've not seen any proof the Soviet Air Force -actually- had a version like this. Photo evidence, and other research, show the PLAAF had several, with turbo-prop engines, but they apparently didn't work out too well.

This is a complete aircraft mod, ready to unzip and install. Everything is included. Even MontyCZ's original Tu-4 readme.

Although designed as an "AI Only" aircraft, for testing purposes I had a cockpit installed; I've included this modificated version of the A-4B Skyhawk pit, converted to use Metric readouts. Using the 'Stargetic Moves Method' pioneered by Lexx_Luthor, you now have a flyable aircraft, although it would best be used as originally designed AI Only. PLEASE NOTE: it REALLY is designed with Post 9/08 & 10/08 Patchs in mind, as I've used the "OpenCockpit=TRUE" line to bring up the greenhouse framing. Unpatched users WILL experience visual anomolies; therefore, it's best left as AI only. Instructions to return it to such are in the "To Install" section below.
For those wishing to fly it, a new WoE-style Hangar Screen is included.

Other ini mods (many as seen in the CombatAce Knowledge Base Weapons Fixes Threads) puts NS-23 cannons in the tail ONLY, place the exhaust emitters correctly, remove the upper and lower guns and turrets, bomb bay and add the radar disc (as a pilot station). You will NOT be needing to use the Weapons Editor...how easy is this!!!???!!!
Operational years are a "best guess", as I've not found any real data (as stated above) the Soviet Air Force ever really had this version of the Tu-4.

As usual, PLEASE read the enclosed readme for relitively easy (for once!) to follow install instructions.

    Happy Landings!

  17. Type 74 Fishbed, Indian Air Force

Type 74 Fishbed-D, Indian Air Force

    =For SF2, Full-4 Merged

** May Also require Expansion Pak 1, or whichever gave us the 21FL, who's body is used for this mod ** (I disremember which!!) **

    From the India/Pakistan Mod.

This is the Type 74, a variant of the 21FL, as first used by the Indian Air Force. This was their first supersonic aircraft (and their first Fishbed), and bears the marking of No. 28 Squadron, "First Supersonics"
All decals/serial numbers are 100% historically correct for this model. (just wish there was more of them...)
A new weapon, the GP-9 gun pod from the Type77 mod, is included. All other weapons used at stock. (historcally, first used on this mark)
A new avionics ini is included with an audio-only RWR and a radar-ranging gunsight.
This mod creates a single-user 'nationalized' version for the IAF. Even though a userlist is included, the data ini has been adjusted such that it's not Exported, and is assigned India as the only nation user.

This package is the compliation of work by many talented people -- they are listed in the Credits secion below. You'd do well to read it, and thank them.

The canopy is activated via a manual animation key (use shift/0 to open and close it). The hangar screen is a 'generic Indian Fishbed' type, having more than 1 variant shown

As always, fairly easy to follow, detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them ....

With thanks to my teamates from the India/Pakistan Mod!!

  18. Type 77/Type 77 Late Fishbed, IAF

HAL Type 77/77 Late Fishbed, Indian Air Force

    =For SF2, Full-4 Merged

** May Also require Expansion Pak 1, or whichever gave us the 21FL, who's body is used for this mod ** (I disremembe which!!) **

    From the India/Pakistan Mod.

This is the MiG-21FL as used/produced by HAL for the Indian Air Force. There are 2 full versions of the aircraft in this package, both the Early and Late models. This is a nationalized, single-user version that will create 2 new seperate aircraft for your enjoyment.

The 77 (early) has 7 skins, and the Late has 3. All decals/serial numbers are 100% historically correct for this model.
A new weapon, an several "other items" are added - the GP-9 gun pod, and some other 'goodies' added via the FakePilot method for the 77Late.

This package is the compliation of work by many talented people -- they are in the text file called "ori-readme.txt" by PauloPanz. You'd do well to read it, and thank them. I just assembled this package.

The canopy is activated via a manual animation key (use shift/0 to open and close it). The only thing NOT included are hangar screens ... I can't find them! (use a generic Fishbed one if you have too!)

As always, fairly easy to follow, highyl detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them ....

  20. US M-1 120mm AAA Gun

    US M-1 120mm AAA Gun
    - For SF2, Any and All -

Simple modifications (read: ini edits) create the 1940s-mid 1950s 120mm radar directed US Auntie-Aircraft gun.

Based on Pasko's KS-30 130mm, as this is the closest shape available. (unless a 3d guy builds a more accurate one). A new 120mm gun is included. As this gun was radar directed, I took a little poetic liscence, and 'built in' the search/track radar to the data ini itself (ala the ZSU-23 and M-51 Skysweeper).

Simple easy to follow instructions are below, in the "To Install" section.

  22. USN BuNums, 1910-1995

Bureau Numbers for US Navy Aircraft

A pdf file - make sure you have the latest version of Adobe Acrobat!!!

I came across this little file while doing research for the F7U Cutlass, and was asked to share this with the community. Unfortunately, I don't remember what site I found it on, so I can't give the Author proper credits.

I found this file extreamly helpful in creating those pesky little decals that go on the aircraft tail.

The major portion is broken down into number groupgs, NOT by aircraft, so you'll have to hunt around for the proper bird; if you're working off a profile or photo for you skin/decals, you should be able to scroll down to the 'approximate' section to find the serial number (ie: BuNum) you're looking for.

I'm placing this in the "Utilities/Editor" section, as I have NO real idea where it should go!!!

    Enjoy!

This is a new skin for MontyCZ's Skyraider, and in particular the AD-4 Skyraider V2 pak recently released.

This skin represents aircraft from VA-923 aboard USS Bon Homme Richard in 1951 during the Korean War. It's your standard or garden variety Navy Gloss Blue, with all new decals for Modex, BuNum and other sundry bits. As with the AD-4 V2 upgrade pak, this skin have been 'weathered' and show all the signs of heavy usage -staining, streaks and dirt and so forth.
