Thank you very much for your kind words, I am sure my dad would have very much appreciated them. He always loved the excitement of his war years, and was a real adrenalin junkie!..... I felt sorry for him in his later years, as he often complained at how boring life was in Civvy Street. (Though I always remember him when he was in his Eighties, whizzing around with my Brother on a mad meteor ride at the fun fair, his white flowing hair in a blur!...p*ssed as a newt on his favourite Brandy, laughing his socks off with youngsters Barfing and wobbling all over the place when they got off...and him commenting as he strolled off that "Youngsters today have no stomachs!" great memories!... and testament to his words of advice for his kids (which i try to adher to) "Always grow old disgracefully..and remember, that even royalty sh*t in a pan"

My dad died 10 yrs ago today, and I wanted to post this account of his experiences in the Special Operations Executive (SOE) during the war. I wrote this using the memory of what he told me when I was a small boy, and I am sure there was a lot more to tell, but he was a modest man, and was also tied in with the Official Secrets act. After the war, he worked for the Foreign Office in MI6 until his retirement, and at his funeral, a beautiful wreath arrived from the British Government office, which was a very nice gesture. Ah yes, the old 'email' excuse!...works for me too! I am self employed, so can manage my time how I see fit, but with Skinning and flying, I also require an understanding Wife (which I have thankfully) On the odd occasion when she get's a bit 'huffy' about my foray back in time, I remind her that "At least I am not down the pub getting plastered and chatting up young Ladies"......... then I have a re-think...and head off down the Pub!

Hi all, Thought it about time that I laid my old Saitek Cyborg to rest (or give it to my nipper)...So, want to ask which replacement would be worth getting? I don't particularly like the sound of the Cougar, as it is expensive, and a pain to configure (from what I have heard) My price range is about £50 - £70 Any advice or recommendations gratefully recieved! (will also consider second user one in good condition)

And of course (God forbid) there is no law to say you can't play Red Baron and OFF! I have FE / RB3d / SDOE WW1 and a miriad of other sims on my HDD (Though, it has to be said, that although they're on there, I can't drag myself away from OFF for love or Money!!)
