  1. I had a crack at this a while ago and the conclusion I came to was that while the SymbolType was listed, it could not be used functionally as you have discovered. It's bad news, I know. Sorry. Dels
  2. Standby for daytime shots, I didn't want to launch straight into them as it didn't fly by day. Dels
  3. Wow, talk about taking the jam out of my donut! It's a completely new 3d model. But I guess the differences may only be subtle unless you know the current one well. Dels
  4. No, I do have the original Max files. The problem is that it would take a bit of work to bring it up to the standards of TMF Vipers. I'm happy to do it but as I have a few projects on at the moment it might be a little while. If TMF is free it would probably be easier (and quicker) to modify their Vipers. Not sure of their workload though. All that being said, if it was just a small list of relatively easy changes I could probably squeeze it in after my current project. Dels
  5. Too busy with my current (secrect) project.
  6. I haven't got the new Vipers yet, but it looks to me like the Course needle and CDI bar don't give you the expected information. Ideally, the Course needle should always point in the direction of the flight planned track. So the CDI bar will give you deviation information from that track. From your pictures it looks like the bearing pointer (i.e. bearing to the next waypoint) is the small triangle just outside the compass rose. If you post the relevant sections from the _COCKPIT.ini I could have a look at them. Dels
  7. Hi all, I attached a file at the bottom of this topic with a new .lod and .tga for the T-6A so that the canopy glass has reflection. Regards Dels
  8. Yeah, I plan to update all my models in the future. Dels
  9. Sure, I'll put it on the to do list. Dels
  10. Hey everyone, Here's an updated .lod and .tga for the T-6 which gives the canopy glass some reflection. Dels T-6A.7z
  11. Thanks guys, that did the trick. @Squid, I'll upload the new T-6 lod later. Dels
  12. Hey ravenclaw, what values do you use in Max? I remember someone (I think it was you) posting a screen shot of max with their settings a little while ago but I can't seem to find it. Dels
  13. I can only speak for myself, but I agree this sim is heading (or has already headed) for its demise. Following the release of the SF2 versions of the SF1 games, I bought EXP1 for the P-51 and Meteor and I bought EXP2 for the mission editor. I have bought only 3 DLC's and I am still yet to buy SF2NA. Why? Quite simply, I don't have the time to stuff around continuously updating and adapting my modded installs while still modding. It has taken me quite a while to complete my last few projects mainly because I haven't as much time as I used to. But I can also see my interest in this series slowly waning. Unless the SF2NA problems are fixed I will not buy it. And in the absence of other motivation, updating my C-130's will be my last project. Dels
  14. It's an antenna for the Station Keeping Equipment (SKE). It's used to fly formation in zero visibility. Here's a link: AN/APN-243 Dels
  15. I can always modify the antenna if you need...
  16. I have put the SKE antenna on my KC-130T. Is that the one you're talking about? KC-130T You could always use that .LOD and remove the refuel pods in the usual way... Dels
  17. As Fubar said, I'm guessing TK put SF2:NA up on the product page to show everyone progress shots, but also to let everyone know the new system specs required to run it. No doubt he's hoping to get all the SF1 and SF2 users to buy it and I think there's still a large percentage that are still on XP. If you give people time to upgrade, you can avoid the daggers that WILL be thrown when it's released. Dels
  18. Spot on Eraser! I couldn't have said it better. Appeal the masses of mindless sheep out there that are only happy to fork out cash for what in hindsight will be seen as an inferior product so that you can finance the "real" project. Dels P.S. Apologies in advance for my emotive language, but this issue cuts deep.

  20. There's one question I have which might provoke some discussion: What are all those ASMs the Tu-22s are firing targeted at? The obvious answer is: a "ship" of some sort somewhere in the distance. So my next question is: How was this "ship" targeted? If it is not the primary target was it visually? - Probably not because there's no ship in sight on those pictures and even if there were, the missiles still seem to be at a very high altitude and not descending. So was it by some other means...by radar? by command guidance? - Either of these would require new functionality in the sim. Dels P.S. I accept the possibility that I may have completely overlooked something, in which case please ignore this post.
  21. If it does exist then I didn't make it. That skin looks really good BTW. If you're a slave to detail (like me) the KC-130F is based on the basic airframe of the C-130E so my KC-130T (based on the C-130H) won't be an exact stand in. Dels
  22. It's actually because of the wingtip vorticies/wake. Lead will be on the downwind side if there's any more than 10kts of crosswind. If there's less than 10kts, lead generally lines up on the far side of the runway from where they taxi on. Dels
