  1. shock and awe

One thing I find funny is that I said the same thing when I was a TI about the youngers troops, and years prior to that when I was a new troop, my TI said the same about us. When my father was a TI he said (back in the 70's) that the troops were too soft, then he in turn he said when he was in basic in the 60's, his TI's thought they were too soft. The attitude is the same, just the time has changed. Basic training is what it is, they aren't going to make combat ready soldiers, its the first line units like Jamie said that is getting it done where they need it. People need to remember that basic trainings entire purpose is to teach the new recruits the ability to pay attention to detail, (GI parties and the like) work as a team (through drill and ceremonies) and follow instructions. That lays the foundation for the line units to build upon. In reality has basic gotten softer? No, it hasnt, the intensity has changed, yes, but the outcome is the same. If anyone actually doubts that, look at what our men and women are doing everyday overseas. That is proof enough.
  2. Happy Birthday Daddyairplanes

Hope you have a good day.
  3. Look in your install folder and you will see the exe files for each sim, just run each one once then go back to your mods folders and you will see the results. Well you cant install NF4 into SF2I, it wont work. Install into SF2E only.
  4. I have all these merged but you can still use SF2:Europe's exe to have it create its own folder. It will be merged with everything of all the other sims but you can delete what you dont want or just install NF4 and not worry about it.
  5. Why are you putting them in the same install? The Vietnam Ground War is for SF2:V only and NF4 is for SF2:E only DO NOT INSTALL THEM TO SAME MOD FOLDERS. Use each individual sims exe, that will create a folder for each sim. Then install it in the correct one.

That is called "I've had enough of this bulls**t." maneuver. That is a great fighter pilot!
  9. I kind of gave up on them. They work good from an airborne start and fly well but dont count on them for ground objects etc. The FM requires a major rewrite.
  10. I removed my remark because it was very insensitive. People died because of one persons stupidity.
  11. Oh so true. There are books that say it had a 50 mile endurance at the high altitudes of Afghanistan. Yes kiddos, 50 miles.....

  21. I will ask swambast about releasing that aircraft mover to the public. It can remember favorite aircraft sets, it can also move out weapons. Its just a great tool and its awesome he did that for me. I am sure he wouldnt mind sharing it but I need to ask him first. In fact it will can actually get rid of the need to say a 1950's only install when you can move planes sets in and out and accomplish the same thing.
  22. Happy Birthday JW
