More ArmA 2 for me... Good mods for older stuff?
Dave replied to streakeagle's topic in Armed Assault Series
I broke down and got it yesterday. So far I am liking it. Any good mods I should be looking at? I got it through Steam, I heard I cant use the 1.05 patch. Is that true? -
Great review my friend.

Experiencing bizzare issues in SF2 series aircraft & effects - Requesting help
Dave replied to SkyStrike's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
Shadows are disabled with the J-10 and the F-2A because they produce an error. Gripen suffers the problem ad the F-35. Need to be updated for the newer patches. The AB effects are part of the effects that happen if you are using third party environment mods. -
I just posted this a minute ago, http://combatace.com/topic/56291-remembering-the-fallen/page__view__findpost__p__434095 Here is the full article about him, http://militarytimes.com/valor/marine-pfc-juan-guadalupe-garza-jr/256625/ The reason I bring this up may seem kind of weird as I never met the person. However I know his widow. Casey has been a good friend of Sheila and I for a few years now. Casey is now remarried, has a couple of great kids. She is still in the Army and is an E-5P. Casey just got stationed back here at WPAFB after a short stint at Bremerton, Washington. She gave Sheila and I some seriously close insight on how its been since her Marine was killed over 7 years ago. Casey showed us pictures of her and Juan in high school, their engagament, their marriage, before he deployed and his funeral. The pictures look like they were taken just yesterday. Very moving. She told us how she gave the flag that draped his coffin to his family as she kept the flag that the Marines put on his body. That flag has his blood on it. As they were taking him to the evac chopper there is video of it, his arm falls out gurny. His last moments on earth are very well documented. So I told Casey I would post this as I was very moved by it. As I said, I never met PFC Garza, but I feel like I know him.

Now who is spouting off cold war propganda? Too much time under the East German flag has rotted your brain. DOE can't even gets it's nuke count right. I worked nukes and during a tour I had to correct a DOE display of a MIRV that was mislabeled. So much for them knowing what they are talking about.

I have an Alienware M11 and man its loaded. Was only $1049. 4 GB RAM, 1GB Video card RAM. 250 GB HD. (No CD drive though) I download all my games from Steam and had my SF stuff on a jump drive. Its only 11 inches wide but it packs a punch.

Also try this, in the cockpit section of the F-15E , its in one of the ini's, forgive me I can not not remember which. Check out what the numbers are in there and compare that to the SG's numbers. If the SG's are different give it the F-15E's numbers and check th result. Not sure what to tell you about the Active though. -

When did you download this? And are you running the latest patch? -
Big deal, like wikipedia is a reliable source, also that is one authors opinion, against many who had the same conclusion as we have been stating. It's a well known fact they had no intention of surrending after the first bomb was dropped. Watch the history channel, or read Time/Life's WWII series. Has nothing to with Cold war propaganda, that is an ignorant statement if I ever saw one.

No, I said you sounded like one, I didn't call you one.....I'm not that dumb.

Have to agree with ironroad, Fubar and a fee others. Their will was hardly broken. Read the battles of Iwo Jima, and Okinawa, they fought to almost the last man. Kamakazis were taking it's toll on the fleets. The Japanese air forces still had hundreds and hundreds of planes ready to be launched against a mainland invasion. Only the coup that ironroad mentioned made the surrender possible. People can say all they want about whether we were justified or not. We did the right thing by nuking them. They started it and we finished it. Pure and simple. Tojo and Hitler both started all this. You didn't see Britain just "annexing" lands or the US invading China and systematically killing its people. I would rather save 2 million of my fellow countryman at the expense of 2 million of an enemy nation.
