  1. Yep just as I was telling you about the TU-16's. They were almost on top of my base when I scrambled. You can go into the gameplay options and decide if you want to start on the ground, in the air or near the target.
  2. This aspect of the sim never stops amazing me. The other day I was in a Block 10 Viper circa 1980. We are heading to a Russian airbase for a little raiding party. We were escorted by some F-15's. We got to the base when all of a sudden there was all these bright flashes. I was like WTF? It tuned out that a flight of F-101B's with AIR-2's showed up and started tossing them at the Floggers that were there to greet us. It was awseome. Awhile back I was running a intercept mission in the F-106. Started out on the runway, went to full burner and took off. Just as my gear was coming up I saw a flight of TU-16's in the distance. I locked one up with an AIM-4 and pickled it off. One gets hit and they pass over me. I pull hard over and get on their tail. That is when I hear my wingman say he is going down followed by flashes of light. The Tu-16's dropped nukes on my base and fragged it and the rest of my flight. I was the only one to get airborne. Well needless to say I was a little pissed because I failed the mission and lost the base. But revenge was mine as I got a AIR-2 off and took out the rest of their entire flight. To this day I have yet to encounter that mission again. I wish there was a to save those random mission.
  3. The Pavetack is autoloaded. You do not have to do anything. Its also set up as a laser pod on the aircraft. So it works out of the box without having to load a thing.
  4. She has Arrived

    Congratulations my friend.
  5. The elimination of waypoint marker makes you use your insturments. This file makes you work, like a pilot has to. Now I am not saying this is the realism mod, because it isn't. However it does make you put your money where your mouth is.
  6. Its not very often people but I do have a good idea once in a blue moon.
  7. No, do not make a "mod" folder. We just call it a mods folders. (becauses its where mods go) Once you hit the exe it will make the folders like you stated. Username - Saved Games - ThirdWire - StrikeFighters2 You then dump the files into there.
  8. Back From Hospital

Dont sneeze, dear god do not sneeze. You don't want to know what happens. Trust me. Get well.
  9. RIP F-22

But still have never lost in A2A combat. It was the same on both sides. We didnt use the AIM-9X, helmet mounted site, or AESA radar. Both were playing with hands tied behind their backs.
  10. RIP F-22

No they didnt. For the 100th time. The F-15's were aggressors playing and not playing as USAF planes. The media hyped that one up. Been a bunch of threads on this.
  11. I have caught my plane on fire a few time being in AB too long.
  12. That is not a draw back. Not at all. No more point, click, shoot, which means you might actually have to do some work to get a kill. Much more leaning towards immersion and realism than anything else.
  13. Check This Out

A Texas Airman stationed at an Air Force Base near Sacramento, Calif. has lost both legs after surgeons reportedly botched a routine surgery to remove his gallbladder. Colton Read, 20, underwent laproscopic surgery last week at David Grant Medical Center at Travis Air Force Base near Sacramento. Laproscopic surgery is a minimally invasive procedure that involves making a tiny incision to minimize pain and speed recovery time. About an hour into the surgery, something went wrong. Read's wife Jessica told CBS11TV.com. "A nurse runs out, 'we need blood now' and she rounds the corner and my gut feelings is 'oh my God, is that my husband?'" Jessica Read said. Read's wife said an Air Force general surgeon mistakenly cut her husband's aortic valve, which supplies blood to the heart, but waited hours to transport Colton Read to a state hospital with a vascular surgeon. Read, who is still in intensive care, lost both legs as a result of the blood loss. Meanwhile, his gallbladder still has not been removed. Jessica Read said the doctor admitted his mistake, but under federal law the Reads cannot sue. The future of Colton Read's career is now uncertain, FOX 40 in Sacramento reported. Jessica Read told FOX 40 she is appalled that the Air Force is even considering medical retirement or medical discharge while Airman Read is incapable of making any type of decision. She said he is not 100 percent lucid and is still heavily medicated. The Air Force is conducting a review of the case using outside experts. 18. No it doesn't, I have tried though. Yes this works in all the series.
  19. Mine works alot better than Alt+D or I would used that.
  20. All by design. The only reason I keep a red dot is my eyesight is terrible. Been using to that way for a long time.
  21. Put this in your flight folder. HUDDATA.7z
