Did anyone watch the CBS evening news last night? They had a segment on there about the theories of the 4 shooters etc etc of the JFK assassination. The Discovery channel set up a test, put an exact car with people the exact height, weight, in the exact spot as those who were in it on that fateful day in 1963 when Kennedy got hit. They set up in the exact spots in Dallas to get set up data. Then used that setup data at a range using lasers as guides then did actual live firing. 1. The theories that the were 2 shooters ahead of the car got debunked immediately. a. One of the snipers TDC used would have had to shoot through the windshield to get the shot. The windshield in the actual event never got touched. b. The other sniper did not have a clear shot at all. 2. The grassy knoll shooter results were not consistent at all either. a. Again a sniper was used and in this case the angle was wrong for the injuries JFK received. 3. Finally the shots from the book depository building. a. The injuries sustained to the test dummy were consistent with the ones JFK received. I thought this was very interesting. And by far will it put to rest the all the theories out there? No it won't, but it does go a long way in debunking alot of those conspriacy theories. I mean its hard to beat cold hard scientific facts.

Highly interesting: Red Flag lecture
Dave replied to Brain32's topic in Military and General Aviation
Another thought, the Vipers and the Eagles flying the IAF flew against were probably the aggressor ones who have to mimic Mig-29's/Su-27 to include their capabilities, i.e. radar, missile, flying envelopes and tactics. So the aircraft themselves were not being flown to their US capabilities but rather than to unfriendly nations using said Russian aircraft capabilities. Big difference if you go into a fight with one hand tied behind their backs. -

Depends on how the scenario was written. Maybe the Spanish Hornet drivers are better than the JASDF drivers. I mean blue does not always win against red and vise versa. -

That is 100% spot in Jeff. I have gotten incentives rides in aircraft too doesn't make me an expert on aviation all of a sudden. The IAF did good at Red Flag but what that USAF Colonel was saying has more stock than what a reporter writes. Sorry but journalists are never given "unprecedented access." They are only shown what they military wants them to see. -
Well we have had this TV for about a year now. Got the idea the other day fron Crab_02 who did it with his. So its not a new aqusistion by any means. The resolution isnt so great for simming but for FPS its nice.

Just about 4 out of 5 modders use it. That is how all of the modders stay in touch. Pick a modder I can bet you I got him on ICQ.

Thirdwire's latest patch and old campaigns
Dave replied to MK2's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
Hey MK2 long time no see. I haven't tried any of the older campaigns with the new patches. But the patches changed many many things in regard to how some of the campaigns run. JSF_Aggie is the has a list of what was changed and what is needed to get the old campaigns working. I know like OTC and his Harrier Campaign have to be up dated to work with the new patches. So that should give you an idea of that your will have to be brought up to patch standards too. -
Great article P.... Well it was more of a, a, a, positive push, you know a lets "Win one for the Zipper."

VFA-14 Tophatters(real world) looking to "sponsor" a squadron
Dave replied to Steamer's topic in Virtual Squadron Chat
Hey Steamer welcome to CA. As Jeff said there are a lot of military here. As far as you getting a vsquadron, there are a few around here who do MP like doghouse, streakeagle, 531ghost to name a few. I would get in contact with them. They will be your best source of info. -
It was implied. As I told one of your fellow Sailors last night on ICQ. I find nothing the other branches do as "weird". Each has their own thing and that is what makes them unique. Army does it one way, Navy another, Marines another, AF another. But weird? No, its the nature of the beast. I just get irritated because there seems to be a trend with "My branch is better than your branch." And I don't play that. One team, one fight. We all bleed red and we all defend the same flag. Nuff said. We took this off topic, sorry folks.

I will go see it. It looks good and could give a rats ass if the Trekkies like it or not.

Wow another B-1 guy, you and FastCargo should talk. He is a former B-1 driver. -
Dude will you please get over yourself and your branch of service? Once in a blue moon ribbing is fine, but every time you get a chance you take a swipe at mine and others. WTF is your problem? Since this war started in 2001 and I buried friends in each branch of service, so I have great respect for each branch and their traditions and don't really get into my branch vs your branch. One team, one fight. So calling the others "weird" is very uncalled for.
