What in the Hell is That?
Dave replied to Dave's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
It needs some tweaks and we will release it. But it will be an as is model because the max file is gone. But bpao said we can use his drop tanks and pit for it. Skins are courtesy' of Creepin' Death with ini work by Moonjumper and wrench. Model by wpnssgt who has thrown in the towel on SF and gave me all his stuff. -

Well guys I think this has ran its course and I think we know where everyone stands. So let it be, go fly and have fun. If you are getting too hung up on this payware vs freeware thing then you are no longer having fun. Think about it. -

Sandesh, I have known you a long time but your attitude towards payware is done right odd. What the hell does morals have to do with it? These guys are not harming anyone or once again to beat a dead horse, they are not taking money out of your pocket or forcing you to buy them. So why do you even care? Please tell me how payware has ruined your life? I am curious. Because I know for a fact it hasn't. -

Erik brings up a good point, all the books, dvd's and videos I have bought for research, decals I bought for scanning to get a high quality look to the skins, better computers to take my modding to the next level. So yeah my mods are payware in the end. As in I paid for them. So its 6 in one hand, 1/2 dozen in another. I say we just drop this whole thing, enjoy then benefits both payware and freeware and have fun. And that is all I have to say about that. -

Yes TK says he has no problem with payware. As far as the RAZBAM forums are concerned, I just help out anyone with SF questions. I am not making any money or selling anything. I am a technical advisor. I mean really Russ, known you for years why does this chap your ass so much? Its not hurting you and your creativity at all. I would even buy from you if you went payware. This system works for MSFS and even though we are smaller than them, it is still a choice whether to buy or not to buy. Its really not as a big a deal as you think. Its all about choices. But make no mistake, I am purely freeware have been since 1998 when I started modding. -

Ini files are not copyrighted, TK said that is part of the open structure and doesnt mind them being used. He just has issues with core game files. -

Adding addional squadrons
Dave replied to Gocad's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
Once you have added squadrons to the ini you have to put it in your PilotData folder. Then the sim will read it. I have an extensive squadronlst file and it works fine. Also when adding squadrons to a campaign it is highly recommended you have it match the campaign entries and what you listed in the squadronlst file, despite what jtin says. It will make the campaign run smoother. Not that I haven't built a campaign or 2 for the sim. -
