Something to add to your list of stuff worth checking out.....Simbin just released a Caterham 7 expansion via steam. Also, looks like RACE 2007 will include both Formula cars (FBMW) and sports cars, and of course the touring cars...they are saying over 300 cars in 9 classes on 32 tracks...sounds awesome

I saw G4s coverage of the E3 show and they were showing some CoD 4 stuff while interviewing the head of dev. I gotta say, it didn't impress me much. I was really excited to play the game until I saw that footage. It just looked kinda messy and arcady....I prefer more of a tactical approach, otherwise I would stick to UT

Licensing isn't all about money. How many copies of Gran Turismo do you think have sold world wide over the years? Yet, have we ever seen a Ferrari in Gran Turismo? Or to even bring it closer to this discussion, have we ever seen a Porsche for that matter (I am not talking about the RUF loophole they used in GT2, but an actual Porsche)

Well....the Matrix sequels got pretty good returns...as did the Star Wars prequels. Not what I would call good movies.

They couldn't make him a Porsche for the same reason Bumblebee wasn't a Bug. Licensing baby! The Porsche Audi group knew it was going to be a stinker so decided not to let them use the Porsche or Volkswagen likeness in the movie.

I tired X-Plane once, did a barrel roll underneath the Tacoma Narrows Bridge in a 767 and said "Enough of that!"

Another point is the importance of guns. As the Navy learned during the SEA conflict...guns can kill you just as good as a high tech missle. All 8 of my kills came from guns. I still fly with the same guy. Sometimes he comes over for beers and we load up WOE and see how well we can do in a swarm of bogies. He will bug out as soon as he is out of missles. I only go to missles if A) I am out of ammo on the guns or B) it is BVR and I can even the odds a bit with some long range missle shots.

I setup a dual boot system with XP/98 just so I can play those old Janes games. Hard to match the brilliance of F/A-18. Even USAF is good....but FA is where it's at....whenever I am feeling like I need a trip down memory lane, I fire up good ole Janes Fighter Anthology. I still have my original ATF and USN Fighters disks around somewhere.

Then call me nuts. I just thought it was weak. The action was shot poorly, it was all blurry...you couldn't tell what the hell was happening. The humor was retarded...Bumblebee pissing on someone? Please. The transformers didn't really transform, they just sort of spasmed into cars. I am not one of the Transformers G1 nerds that is griping because it wasn't more like the original....so the only comparison to the original and the movie is that in G1, you could tell how they transformed...Like Jazz, you could watch and see exactly how he became a Porsche...Like with the movie ones, they just kind of shaked and moved around a little and Presto! You have a car. Kinda lame. Also, Michael Bay defended his choice to use a long nose semi to create Optimus Prime by saying they could not find a flat nose with enough mass to create a robot that big...which is totally cool, I can see that being a problem. The only problem I had with that is he didn't stick with that idea. Enter "Frenzy"....your standard boombox that transforms into a 3 foot robot. Tell me you have a boombox with enough mass to change into a 3 foot robot. Having Peter Cullen reprise Optimus Prime was genius though
