  1. I am done with this game. I have been playing ARMA on and off since it came out and I have gotten to the point where all I can do is clean off my hands and walk away. The AI is borderline super human. To the point where it makes an almost unplayable and unenjoyable game. A perfect example....I am playing a mission where I am special ops, gotta blow up some armor at night. I manage to kill one guy and sneak up to a tank that is on the outskirts of the camp. I plant my satchel charge and set it for a 30 sec timer. In the meantime, I run around the backside of a rather large hill that overlooks the camp. Keep in mind that it is darker than dark out. I come around the other side of the hill completely silent, belly crawling up to the ridge overlooking the camp so I can see the chaos I just caused....when somehow I get spotted and get nailed in three shots....while crawling through tall grass with the higher ground and the cloak of darkness. Now how in the hell did the AI know I was there and kill me in three shots? Ridiculious. Anyone else had similiar problems?
  2. Wish I could help you buddy.....but unfortunately this forum is for tech issues regarding the creations I make for Wings over Europe. I'm afraid there isn't going to be a lot of help found here. I would suggest posting this in the LOMAC section. In fact, I'll help you out by giving you a friendly nudge in the right direction with a little moderator magic.....
  3. I had a few of the original Joes....they faded out when I was about five, and then I had a ton of the Joe/Cobra stuff....
  4. Here is my Colonial Viper Mk. I. This is the recent Revell "30th Anniversary" re-release. Scrambled to get this weathered and finished before my vacation... I have left off the clear pieces for the thrusters right now....I am searching for the right shade of blue and then I will paint the interiors of them and attach them. I am debating whether this one would look better on the stand sitting on my desk or if it should hang from the ceiling.
  5. No, she was doing this.... This is her first model....not bad for a 7 year old, eh?
  6. This is a 1/48th scale Italeri F-14A+ Tomcat backdated to a early model F-14A The kit bang seats were pretty laughable, so I replaced them with some seats from a Hasegawa Tomcat...the ventral fins were WAY off shape wise, so those too were replaced with parts from a Hasegawa. The kit came with two closed Pratt & Whitney nozzles, I had a spare open P&W nozzle from an Academy kit, so I used that on the port engine. I added a TARPS pod from a Hasegawa kit....mostly cause you just don't see them very often. The markings I used were from an early Tomcat, the kit did not come with the proper chinpod, so I liberated that from an old Revellogram Tomcat. The VF-111 Sundowners markings came from Aeromasters "Tomcat Supreme part 2" sheet. The colors are Model Master "Gloss Gull Grey" overall and I used MMs "Neutral Grey" for the TARPS pod. The wash was done using pastel chalk ground up into a powder and mixed with water and some liquid soap. BTW....yeah, I know the fin caps are supposed to be red...the decals were scaled for the Hasegawa kit and the Italeri tail fins were just a tad too short

  10. Yeah....I just started scribing too. I am rescibing a Revellogram 1/48th F-14. The secret is Dymo Tape. It's nice and thick and makes an excellent guide for your pin vise. I also went out and bought a scribing tool from Squadron....run over your line with the pinvise a couple times to make a nice groove, then come in with the scribing tool....cleans out that extra plastic and leaves a nice recessed line. I love it. Here's my latest completed project.... 1/48th Academy F-14A Tomcat (modified to B standards)....
  11. Yeah.....here is some news....I am finally back! I haven't been able to mess around with anything lately. The arcade cabinet business blew up over the holidays....I tripled my expected order volume. And I just upgraded from Photoshop 7 to CS2, so I am kind of re learning. I am trying to get all the little things done...helmets, driver suits....all the little details....
  12. wow....that looks good man. real good. I use microset/microsol, and I get pretty good results. Acutally, I shouldn't say that....cause I am decaling my latest build and I know I am going to jinx myself!
  13. Which is a bloody shame...because one of the greatest gamepads for the PC...Microsoft's own Sidewinder...was a gameport pad
