  1. Is there anyway to make the waypoints have a lower altitude? I'm on a Tornado kick, and watching these guys bomb from 20K feet like B-52s is boring...I want some low-level rock and roll, man! I can change the values in the altitude section of missioncontrol.ini, but then everyone has low altitude waypoints. Is there a way to change this for just bombers? I've also tried fiddling with the aircraftobject.ini with the AI bombing section, but it doesn't seem to work. Anyone have any leads?
  2. Yeah, I've been extending the IP point and doing exactly what you recommend. I was just wondering if I could get the AI flights to do it. And I'll have to check out the Combat Lancer missions...didn't know about 'em...sounds cool.
  3. Whatcha building right now?

Well, I'm now embarking on a new endeavour for me. Scribing panel lines. I picked up the Revell 1/72 Tornado F.3 and was appalled at the panels. Recessed, but horrible and incorrect. And the fuselage is split in such a way that cleaning up the seam will destroy the lines anyway. Sooooo...I'm gonna try my hand and scribing. Always been amazed at the guys who re-scribe entire kits. I tried it a few times, but always screwed up. Gonna try a different technique this time. Called patience...
  4. Is there one available? Its says in the sticky that Florian's latest Tornado pack has one, but I don't see it. Yes, I've searched...
  5. Gotcha, Thanks...I got the MW-1 bomblet, but it just hung there in space...I'll try the German version.
  6. I can't help with your question, but I just want to say that I'm very interested in this mod! Can't wait to try it out!
  7. Whatcha building right now?

Well, here it is...nothing fantastic, but I like it. It's the Hasegawa 1/72 Spitfire Mk.IX...painted in quasi-accurate No 331 Sqn colors. Had some silvering with the decals...not sure why...I "futured" the whole thing and used solvaset. Some decals are just picky.
  8. Whatcha building right now?

Well, I totally screwed the pooch with my A-4. Had to send it to the spares box. :cray: I did manage to finish a 1/72 F-100D in SEA camo, though. Not pleased with the weathering, but at least I finished it. About to finish a Spitfire Mk.IX...looks nice. Nothing fancy, but for some reason after screwing up a few, it makes me feel better! I might post a pic of that one. And your cockpits look awesome Paul! Don'tcha just love dry brushing? Such a simple technique that makes a world of difference.
  9. It's a LIttle Boat

I think the one in the NASM is 1/100. Can't remember. I do remember a Finescale Modeler back in the late 80's that had an article on a 1/72 carrier. I was like 13 at the time and totally blown away...still am actually.
  10. Alb DV and DVa Tachometer

That would explain why I can't seem to win a campaign flying for the Brits...
  11. Alb DV and DVa Tachometer

That's nothing...mine's in GERMAN! How am I supposed to read it? Didn't TK test this thing? Gah....
  12. So what's going on here...

    Dissimilar Formation training?
  13. For those of you who are interested, you can now add Aces with their own skin. Unpack the Operation Michael campaign data file and look for these entries under Jasta 11: KnownAce[01].LastName=Richthofen KnownAce[01].FirstName=Manfred KnownAce[01].RankID=5 KnownAce[01].NumMissions=129 KnownAce[01].AirKills=64 KnownAce[01].AircraftNumber=28 KnownAce[01].Texture=RichthofenM The two Richtofens are the only ones with custom skins in the stock Operation Michael campaign, but I'm sure you budding modders can remedy this!
  14. Future?

Future is a modeler's best friend. Dip you canopies in it to REALLY make them look better and remove scratches. Do a coat of future before you decal.... Here's a link: http://www.swannysmodels.com/TheCompleteFuture.html Trust me, it's worth a try
  15. Whatcha building right now?

Well, I've already got the Fujimi 1/72 A-4C. I need to keep my scale to 72...not much space. Although the Scooter would still be small at that scale. And I told my wife that model building is my meditation...yoga never did much for me.
  16. Whatcha building right now?

Nice shots! Feels good to back into the hobby doesn't it? Did the same thing after a 10 year absence myself. Well I've decided to shelve the damn Nieuport 11...can't bring myself to do the rigging yet. I just finished a Dh.2, and the rigging on that thing was enough to put me over the edge for awhile. I think I'll finish the Super Sabre. Next up is the A-4C in VA-76 colors. Not sure if I'll post any shots...I'm not that good...but I do enjoy building them. That's why I like ARC...lotta different skill levels represented...and Steve Bamford is a great guy.
  17. PCs and consoles Not a good sign for simmers. Might be a cool arcade game, but I read the title and got my hopes up. I'll still probably give it a shot.
  18. Arcade-type sims have to sacrifice something in order to get those shiny graphics. That something would be Flight Models. It's all about physics, man. It takes a whole bunch of computing power to get a realistic feeling of flight. Do arcade sims have spins or stalls? Nope. How about ground effect or crosswinds? Not there. Most everyday-Joe gamers don't want to set the mixture controls or mess with prop pitch. Take a look at FSX. It's got some of the prettiest graphics of any flight sim, ever....including light bloom. But when you turn the graphics on, it slows to a crawl. Even the latest PCs can't run it maxed out. I should know, I've got an Alienware that only gets single digit frames when I max out the graphics. And you could argue that the FM in FSX is a bit dodgy, but that's another thread...
  19. Iran's latest....

    Testors...Iran couldn't afford the Hasegawa...
  20. Iran's latest....

Sooooo.....when's the first one gonna be available for SF:P1????
  21. Oh! Come and see the violence inherent in the system! Help! Help! I'm being repressed!
  22. Nice weathering on the rear panels...I wish I could do that for my 1/72 scale versions!
  23. If you do manage to do it, please feel free to share! I don't have the talent for it.
