  1. View File EAF Harvard Harvard Egyptian Air Force 1956 This is a set of decals and a repaint of the HarvardIIB_IDF by Rob "Bunyap" McCray. The original Harvard skin by Pappychksix. All credit for the rest of the skin goes to him. Elements of this skin come from the Harvard/Texan by Alphasim for Flight Simulator X (base textures by Frank Safranek) and a re-paint by Henry William. Lancaster 8 Squadron, Egyptian Air Force (Inchas) 1956 This is mini-mod with a set of decals and a repaint of the upper surfaces of the original Lancaster skin by Gramps. All credit for the rest of the skin goes to him. The EAF had 10 Lancasters at the beginning of the Suez Crisis. Most were caught on the ground and destroyed by FAA Seahawks. Weapons loadout has been changed to WP and the guns changed to 50 cal. The original aircraft were supplied without guns and the Egyptians scrounged weapons off surplus WWII aircraft. While I can't change the model to reflect the fact that there were only two 50 cals in the rear turret, I have de-gunned it.

  4. Problem fixed. I left the layered psp file in and took the bmp file out by mistake. LloydNB
  5. Sorry guys. In cleaning up the install I took out the bmp and left in the layered psp file. I'll change it now. LloydNB

  10. Using the B-17F model, this represents one of the B-17Gs acquired (without guns) by the IDF/AF in 1948. I'll post it in the next couple of days. LloydNB
  11. Another WIP. This time an IDF B-17G during Suez. During Operation Kadesh, 2 B-17s were reactivated. By this time they were fully armed. LloydNB
  12. Terrific addition to Suez. Not a pretty aircraft the Wyvern - not even a mother could love it.
  13. New (old) addition to the IDF/AF. A B-17F would have been more appropriate but some of the internal parts show through the skin, ruining the look. Some work to do but its coming along nicely. LloydNB
  14. Thanks for the encouragement guys. This is fun!!! Here's a WIP. At least one IDF B-17 wore this skin in 1948. In 1956 two B-17s were put back in service with an all-over brown scheme. Not as interesting but I'll do that next. LloydNB
  15. I thought I might re-post this. LloydNB
  16. Looking good Hinch. You've captured the painted on angled deck perfectly. LloydNB
  17. Thanks Wrench Can it be that i've spent hours working on a skin and not noticed that the finflash decal only appears on one side? Quite possibly. If fact there Harvard are a number of oddities about the mapping of the Texan/Harvard. I spent ages yesterday trying to line up the two sides of the fuselage only to work out that the mapping is the reverse of how it appears on the bmp. Here's a progress shot. The skin is a development of the Flight Simulator X template that currently exists for the Harvard. LloydNB
  18. Just so we don't duplicate effort. I'm currently working on a Harvard for the EAF and Syrian AF. While not a major contributor, the Harvard was used in a ground-attack role during 1948 and 1956. I've also just picked up "Wings over Suez" by Brian Cull. Its a terrific resource for day by day action during Suez. LloydNB

  21. How about a theatre appropriate mainscreen. I originally did this for SFP1. LloydNB
  22. The checks and nose on the MiG-17 are a layer with the opacity turned to 85%. I'll just tweek it up a bit. How did you do the Israeli insignia on the Wessex? I keep getting a distorted decal doing the Iraqi version and the Jordanian Whirlwind. We'll need a RN Whirlwind as well for Suez. LloydNB
  23. Wrench Don't worry about the Sea Fury. I think I've got that covered. Since I have a few appropriate skins, I'll tackle the Vampire as well. A little addition to the the stock MiG-17F (17 Squadron, 1967). LloydNB
