  1. AHAHAHA Read This

WTF!? They're both MSN news sites! Now that's comedy!
  2. Passed my PT test...

    LOL.... I wish! 70" = 5'10" 12"=1' 5' x12" = 60" + 10" =70"
  3. Cats out of the bag

Well... Diane Sawyer did a special on our base last night and pretty much broadcasted out to whoever was watching the news on what our base really does. So, some serious top secret crap just got opened right up to the public. Wing Command is not too happy and is wondering how the hell she was allowed that info. Someone's @$$ is going to get fried! Oh well.
  4. Cats out of the bag

??? That was... what the heck?... ok, random... wow Not completely what I was talking about here, but ok.
  5. Passed my PT test...

Or it just stops blowing and the air gets really cold.
  6. Cats out of the bag

Well, they were authorized to come on the base to do a special on the war in Afghanistan. Don't know how our sensitive operations got exposed though, and that's a question that's begging for an answer right now. Public Affairs was with her too (supposedly). So now while I'm out on the flightline, I need to keep an eye out for an RPG to come flying across my way.
  7. There is no plan B

  8. Tragedy in Haiti

Was just watching the news here at home and looks like my base is mobilizing. Didn't get a call though, so I guess SF is out of it for this one.
  9. Tragedy in Haiti

Yeah it is worse. It's being declared the worst disaster in the world. If my unit asks for vollunteers from the AGR folks, I'll go. However, I think they will call the reservists first before they call in the AGR. At my unit, we're supposed to be non-deployable. I don't even know if there is a need for regular Security Forces over there anyways, except for maybe Pheonix Raven for unsecured landing areas. Either way, if they call, I'll go.

I was actually talking to my supervisor about this, and he does not buy fuel from Chevron, Mobile, Arco, Shell, and Texaco because those are owned and operated by foreign nations that do not support the US, mostly Arab, and the money spent purchasing their fuel directly supports their operations over there. He does however buy fuel from 76 and Circle K. I might start doing that as well. Used to be a Chevron consumer untill I heard about that.
  11. Man I've missed this place

Oh, sorry, perhaps I should re-phrase that... I meant that I had no connection to the internet for the past 5... actually 8 months! I've been using my cell phone for internet activity, but that wasn't much of a show stopper. This past December I finally got a high speed cable connection for my computer at my new place. So I'm officially back online!
  12. Who knew P-3's were so threatening?

I got a few ideas... hehehehehe!
  13. Who knew P-3's were so threatening?

Really? I don't fully agree with you on that. True, respect can be a two way street - but that only applies to two powers that are equally matched. Considering the fact that the US has done a lot for the world (Operation Provide Hope is one example), we have received little to no respect at all from almost everybody. So why should we always be blasted for not showing respect and tolerance to other nations (and by the way, we have shown a lot of respect and tolerance to other nations, probably more than what we should have done... which is why we're getting punked left and right)? Respect is also a recognition that somebody else has a lot of power and has done good and great things with that power. It also recognize that they have the ability to wipe you out in a moments notice if they really wanted to. So sure, say we need to respect you all you want after all that we've done for you... but in the end, if you push the right button, and we have the right leader in office, you're done! Recognize that and tread softly. What you're asking for is the dillusional thinking of a little country to maniuplate a bigger one with a snap of it's fingers. Not going to happen buddy. Not while I stand and guard my birds every day that I'm on duty.
  14. Who knew P-3's were so threatening?

Actually, you can either choose to be offended by it, or just shrug your shoulders and move on. This is where the whole theme of tolerance gets so hypocritical. We have to tolerate others, while they don't tolerate us. I cry BS on this one.
  15. While strolling out on the flight line...

    Hahahahahaha!
  16. Views on the war on terror

Our efforts in staying in the Mid-East fighting have kept the war there. It has limited the enemy's resources to expand outward and to attack abroad. Does this mean that they are totally incapable of carrying out attacks throughout Europe and the US? No, but it makes it that more difficult. We're in the enemy's backyard, blasting away at their foundation. This is their home that we are destroying, and they will not abandon it so easily. It's personal to them, and we will keep it personal, for they have made it personal for us on 9/11. We will stay and haunt them, forever I hope. To completely anihilate them is not the best solution. You make them a marter that way, rallying more support for their cause. Terrorism is a complex entity, in which if you cut off the head, another will grow in it's place. In this case, instead of totally destroying what is perceived to be the enemy itself, be a plague, a disease in which they loathe and regret. Make the people support them have to constantly ask, "Why are they still here?" At some point, they will want to get the answers from the horses mouth, and when they find out the real reason, they will no longer support these extremists. This is not something that is achieved over night, or within a couple years. This is an investment that takes a long period of time, decades, maybe even a century. If we have the will, the determination, and the commitment, we will win. If we doubt the resolve of this conflict, then we have already lost. Only the weak give up easily. The strong endure, and keep pushing and pulling, never resting, never bitching, and never regreting.
  17. Man I've missed this place

    EZ for me... no internet
  18. Who knew P-3's were so threatening?

Hm... not sure if the rest of the world would be no worse off. I think there would be a significant financial shock wave if the US went under. I'm not disputing that it won't happen. I'm pretty sure it will. Just a matter of time. But I think the rest of the world would be affected by it.
  19. Latest news

I heard that they were developing a weapon of higher math instructions that would produce a fallout of calculous. The geometry of this case is very complex and obtruse. They may need to call in the Eraser.
  20. Man I've missed this place

Heck, I just got back to this place after being gone for 5 months! I know I missed a lot.
  21. Who knew P-3's were so threatening?

I think you mis-interpreted what Dave said. If the rest of the world doesn't like us, so what? How is that going to affect our policitical, military, economic position? It's not. Matter of fact, they can hate us all they want, but it wont do moot for them. Infact, if we really wanted to, we can completely seperate ourselves from them, and they will come crying back asking for forgiveness. Just imagine what would happen to the world market if the US decided to go back to the isolationist theme that it was operating under pre WWI? The world needs the US and they know it, and they hate that fact. Quite frankly, we have treated the rest of the world quite fair and kind if you take a look through history and how prior super powers / empires have used their might on the minor powers of the world. If this country ever went to the side of dictatorship, facisim, or a militaristic regime, and the leader was worse than Hitler... the whole globe would be in a world *pardon the pun* of trouble. Everybody should be lucky that the USA is the way it is and operates the way it does today. This planet could have been a hell of a lot worse if we were not like the way we are today. So, have we been a bit arrogant... yeah, we might have been a bit. But you can't say that the rest of the world hasn't been arrogant either! I would have to say that the rest of the world has been worse than the US on the arrogance part. So, I wouldn't start pointing fingers at the US so quickly. Considering how much we really have invested into other nations, we have the priveledge to be a bit arrogant. Just be glad that we're not fully exercising that priveledge. As far as Islamic fundamentalist taking over other countries, that is unfortunately true in some cases. There are a lot of countries (big players too by the way) that are allowing Islamic culture to slowly take over their current government. Some parts of England is one example. It's something to keep an eye on. Oh, and just for the record, I would be very concerned if we weren't spying on Venezuela.
  22. Wing Commander or X-Wing

First space combat sim for the PC was Wing Commander. Pretty basic sim for today's standards, but was a blast to play back then. However, the first space combat game I ever played was R-Type for the Sega Master system. I was hooked on that thing for so long as a kid.
  23. Brittany Murphy died, aged 32

What a year... geez. This is so sad. She was such a beautifull actress. Drug related... I always thought she had her head on her shoulders more than most folks in that industry. Guess you never really know what happening behind the scenes. Just like Heath.
  24. OMG! LOL!

CLICK Oh, and I know I've been away for a while... been fighting zombies... Actually, been really busy on the active duty side and stuff going on in my personal life. Anyways, hope you guys enjoy the video. There's some brief content that might be insulting to some members here, so if a moderator feels it's appropriate to delete this, feel free.
  25. You know where you click on the aircraft mission icon up at the top, and you get the aircraft mission window that pops up, and you can specifiy the aircraft and it's mission details, well... I only get the top half of that window. I can't maximize it, or scroll down to the bottom half of the window to select additional options. Don't know if this is a known problem or not. Haven't seen it talked about here, so I figure it's something only on my end. I do have everything updated. The following pic explains what I'm talking about...
