  5. What Other Games Are You Playing?

I have been absolutely mesmerized by Insurgency. I keep seeing my poor joysticks getting dusty in the corner, but MAN!
  6. Il-2 '46's new supermod!

The SAS download states: ^^Please do not use v1 Torrent anymore. Users who already downloaded v1 Torrent (or those who are close to finishing with it) have to do the following in order to get a working game: Read this until you understood everything! Get rid of your existing C.U.P. Installation if you already have one. It's FUBAR. Start with a fresh IL-2 4.12.2m + Modact 5.3 installation. When you finished downloading the v1 Torrent, proceed with the "C.U.P.- v1 Torrent Update" here: http://www.mediafire.com/download/tsbarzbzpg7r4oz Once you finished downloading the "C.U.P.- v1 Torrent Update", take all files from that pack to overwrite the existing files with same names from the original v1 Torrent When you finished all of the above steps (and only then!) please proceed installing C.U.P. New v2 Torrent is being prepared. So, right now there is no download available. (3-10)

  11. F18 lights

This issue has been resolved by copying the Landing Lights from a working C Hornet. I still don't know what the cause was.

CF-188 by ? Here are 2 shots of the same plane with navigation lights set to on. In the top shot you see the bright white light behind the front slimmer below the cockpit quite bright. Please note that there is a light in the engine intake at the same brightness. In the bottom shot, the afterburner is on, please note the brightness of the lights noted above. The white light brightness is directly affected by the afterburner on or off. Here are the settings for the LIGHTS in the DATA file.... // Lights ---------------------------------------------- ----------- [identificationlight] SystemType=LIGHT Position=-0.497,4.975,-0.110 LightSrcOffset=-0.070,0.00,0.00 Color=0.88,0.88,0.88 Brightness=0.03 LightSrcRange=2000.0 LightRange=.05 CanFlash=FALSE IsLandingLight=FALSE [landinglight] SystemType=LIGHT Position=0.00,3.157,-0.928 LightSrcOffset=2.6046,49.0560,3.50 Color=0.66,0.66,0.6 Brightness=0.03 LightSrcRange=150 LightRange=.05 CanFlash=FALSE IsLandingLight=TRUE

    From the album Issues

As you can see there is an issue with the landing gear. This is the Guadal Canal map, but of 30 or so missions from this field, I've had no problems like this.

  20. The Hunter is great at mid altitude dogfighting. Scissor turns will out turn Fishbeds. Don't try to chase them, just keep turning. Bombing, just learn to dive bomb, the Hunter is a stable bomber from 2 miles out! Good luck!
  21. This is GOLD! Thank you for the share, Viggen, absolutely awesome!
  22. CF-100 Video

I just watched it. 1956 is before my time, and if it wasn't for them, I may have never had any time! It's also cool to see a service outside the US showing the work they do to protect the Continent. I don't know much about the CF-100, and frankly, I was thinking they were Super Sabres! Now I recognize them. What struck me was the lack of Moose in the film.
  23. I use a low level technique. Start around 500 feet, 350 to 400 kts, 4-5 nm from target. Line up with the target and maintain level approach to 2 miles. Point the nose down gently placing the center of the pipper on the target and start pulling up. Your aiming cue will be the 6 o'clock of the outermost ring. Release as soon as the taget hits that mark. Take care not to pull up to hard to avoid a stall. Work with that a bit and adjust the timing to find your sweet spot. Good luck, happy hunting.
  24. Ride in an A-10 training flight

Awesome Davis-Monthan Air Force Base Squadron showing how it's done! Can even catch a glimpse of the graveyard in the landing sequence, great stuff, thanks for the share!
