Hey guys, I not often post something regarding my military past, but I can't help it now. The past 20 years, most Dutch people have looked at Bosnia veterans with disgust and
with the attitude of "I would have done better". An attitude without any knowledge of
missions and mandates we were forced to work with. Last Saturday was Veterans Day in The Hague in The Netherlands, and for the
first time in ages I felt more proud than ever. Proud to be one of a select few, proud to
be someone who tried to do something good. Proud that my experiences and following
problems made me the person I am now. Although I still see myself as a discarded tool of a "political correct" spineless government, I am proud to have worked with all these other people who are veterans too. I am not the type
to join clubs but this is one I am a proud member of. A "veteran's club" with members worldwide. So, I just liked to share this with you. Cheers!!!
