  1. SF2 SAMs Pack

ignacio91: No, this is for SF2 only. Eric Howes
  2. SF2 SAMs Pack

TeargasHorse: The pack covers both 3rdWire and 3rd party SAMs. Eric Howes
  3. CaptainScwarz: Update #5 is the update that includes all the weapons fixes that were previously released as a separate Hot Fix. As for the LGBs, there are laser-guided versions of all the LGBs in the mod. You simply have to select them in the Loadout screen. (The Dumb versions are there for AI use.) Eric Howes
  4. Joedarkness: There is a NATO Fighters 4 mod for Wings Over Europe, but that's a "Gen 1" mod. Since you have SF2E, you need the "Gen 2" version, which can be found here: http://combatace.com/files/file/10122-nato-fighters-part-1-main-folder/ http://combatace.com/files/file/10123-nato-fighters-4-for-sf2-part-2-objects-folder/ http://combatace.com/files/file/10124-nato-fighters-4-for-sf2-part-3-aircraft-folder-1/ http://combatace.com/files/file/10125-nato-fighters-4-for-sf2-part-4-aircraft-folder-2/ There are five update packs for the mod -- to be installed in order: http://combatace.com/files/file/11099-nato-fighters-4-patch-post-dec-2009-patch-level/ http://combatace.com/files/file/11300-nato-fighters-iv-post-dec2009-update-pack-2/ http://combatace.com/files/file/11399-nato-fighters-iv-post-dec2009-update-pack-3/ http://combatace.com/files/file/11795-nato-fighters-iv-post-dec2009-update-pack-4/ http://combatace.com/files/file/12230-nato-fighters-4-part-5/ Eric Howes
  5. Wrench: No problem with third-party ASMs here. I just tested a few on various anti-shipping missions, including the Exocet. All performed without problem. I wasn't using any missiles out of the WBS pack, though. Whether or not that is a factor I don't know. Eric Howes
  6. Another Flight Gear ripooff?

Lazarus1177: Unfortunately, companies like this (along with the adware/junkware companies whose software they install) are making plenty of money. Some of them have even done deals with large, respectable companies like CNet. Eric Howes
  7. Another Flight Gear ripooff?

Guys: Verti Technology Group is a company known to use free/open source software as bait to push other unrequested junkware on unsuspecting users, including adware/spyware. From their Terms of Use: There are a number of similar companies out there whose business model involves "monetizing downloads," and this is just another of them. If you really want Flight Gear, get it from the original developers. Don't put money into these people's pockets by clicking through their crapware installer. Eric Howes
  8. pcm: You probably should also try creating a new custom .EXE for the Falklands mod, as your new install of SF2I is likely at a later patch level than than your original install of SF2. Eric Howes
  9. Wrench: See the attached, which is the latest version of the Mirage IIIE DATA.INI that NATO Fighters is using. I don't know what Raven uploaded, but it is not the final DATA.INI from NF4+. Eric Howes MirageIIIE_DATA_NF5.zip
  10. Guys: NF4+ has had TMF Mirages that use the ThirdWire Mirage III flight model for several years now. Same holds true for the Argentine Mirage deltas in the Falklands '82 mod for SF2. The process of transplanting the ThirdWire fm to the TMF aircraft was not completely straightforward, given the slightly different modeling of control surfaces, but the result works just fine. Eric Howes
  11. AgapheM: The easiest fix is to convert the skins back to BMP format. Eric Howes
  12. DarthRaven: Attached is an update for the two carriers in OpDarius. Also included are updates for the two stock carriers from SF2NA. Just drop these folders in \Objects\GroundObject in your Mods folder. Note that these updates are for those with SF2NA as part of their base installs. There si no need to apply these updated files if SF2NA is not part of your install. Eric Howes opdarius_cvs.rar
  13. Guys: It's the same carrier as in the ODS mod, which works fine. I just need to know if DarthRaven has SF2NA as part of his install. Eric Howes
  14. DarthRaven: The carriers need to be updated -- along with some other things. Is SF2NA part of your install? Eric Howes
  15. Caesar: You wrote: Yes, I reordered the weapon stations to put the AIM-54s first. Result: the AI pilots expend those first instead of the AIM-7s, which means you generally don't see AI pilots wasting AIM-54s at ranges under 20 nm. You'll also notice that I didn't use the TMF data on the control surfaces. I set them up to use the ThirdWire data exclusively. Eric Howes
  16. Caesar: The same configuration (3Wflight model on the F-14A+) is available in the ODS for SF2 mod as an optional install. See the \Optional folder included in the first package. I think it works just fine. In fact, I prefer the the 3W flight model on the A as well as the A+/B. Eric Howes
  17. Intruder505: I'm assuming those are the Intruders from the SF2V Expansion Pack. If so, you need to download and apply the update package for that mod: http://combatace.com/files/file/10466-sf2v-air-ground-war-expansion-pack-v20-jan-2012-update/ Eric Howes
  18. kampfwolf: Based on what you just said, I strongly suspect that your problem lies with the game not finding the proper Mods folder with the carrier folders. If after reinstall it's still not working, then you need to root around and figure out why the game is not finding the proper Mods folder. As I can't see how your system is laid out, there's not much more that I can do aside from noting that the KB contains at least one article on creating mod folders for custom mods like the Expansion Pack that you install. Eric Howes
  19. Kampfwolf: Something is wrong with your install. If you didn't even have an SCB-125 folder, then that suggests a partial/incomplete install of some sort. Only thing I can recommend at this point is that you try reinstalling the Expansion Pack mod. When reinstalling, don't forget that your first step should be to run the Strike Fighters 2 Vietnam executable, which will create a fresh Mods folder that should have a CVA-63 and SCB-125 folder. Eric Howes
  20. Kampfwolf: The Mod Folder. You won't find a CVA-63 or SCB-125 in the game/install folder. Eric Howes
  21. HARM's...

Slartibartfast: I'm starting to suspect that the entire Lofted/LoftAngle/DescentAngle combo of settings is buggy -- at least when applied to user-fired ARMs. AI seem to use these missiles with a good deal of success. With players, though, the picture is different. There were complaints just after the release of SF2 that the lofted AGM-78s weren't working, so I took the loft values off them. But I later did some testing, esp. watching AI pilots use them, and concluded that whatever problems there were had been fixed. It appears that was a mistaken conclusion. I'll simply take the loft values off the back off the ARMs that have them -- including the AGM-78s. That's a shame, because most ARMs after the Shrike are supposed to be lofted -- much higher in some cases than the lofted ARMs in SF2. Eric Howes
  22. HARM's...

Slartibartfast: That's strange, because the stock AGM-78s are also set up with a loft angle of 10. The Shrikes, by contrast, have no loft angle. Eric Howes
  23. kampfwolf: Try removing the CVA-63 and SCB-125 folders from the \Objects\GroundObject folder. That will force the game to default to the latest versions in the CAT files. Eric Howes
  24. HARM's...

Slartifbartfast: One other question: how are you firing the HARMs? Are you waiting for a SAM radar to lock you up? Are selecting the actual radar unit, or are you simply unleashing a HARM in the general direction of the radar? Eric Howes
  25. HARM's...

Slartibartfast: Have you tried the stock AGM-78 Standards? Eric Howes
