  2. Aero L-39

Hello Soulfreak, as I hope, my new notebook will arive next week (ACER Aspire 5745G-434G64MN) then I will have capacity to use full resolution again :-) so it might increase my interests in high res skins. My models usualy uses one file for fuselage and 2 for wings and stabs. This standard I prefer. then resolution might be 2048 (my original files) or 1024 (usualy use this resolution because I like the effect when reducing size from 2048 to 1024 and then aplly sharpen filter) Maybe I should finish that L-410 first, but my ini kung-fu is weak last days :-( Monty CZ
  3. did you know this site? http://warfare.ru/?catid=262&linkid=1673 Monty CZ
  4. Aero L-39

Ahoj přemýšlel, ale historicky zajímavější je pro mě L-39 L-159 je spíš "what if" což je škoda, ale třeba přemodeluju čumák :-) MontyCZ
  5. Ok BVR fights are easy but I am interested in gun fights in early planes, Just tried one mission, me in Mig-15 with one wingman against 4 vampires. I tried to fly straight enough all the time that there wont be vortexes active but my planes were slowing even in dive and vampires could dance all over me Tied to fly down (worse for me) tried to fly up (same thing) each small turn slowed me down, even light touch (really, movement was 1-2mm) to my joystick caused that stall sound. It ended when one sniper shot me down from 1,3km. I dont want to fly 50m above the terain and wait when they fall, or order my wingman to fly straight as a bait and I dont want to turn down hard settings. I want fight like I supposed in each specific plane. Do I want that much? Or might be something I have changed in my instalation? WOI+Exp1+War for Israel 1948 mod Monty CZ
  6. Aero L-39

  8. Ok sorry I wasnt clear enough, the question is not if the AI is dumber or not I was talking about pure physic and matematics. I have 2 hypothetical planes from the same era. one plane was 10% faster second is better in turns. How can I make good flight model for both of them and how they will fight in game comparable to reality? Because I flying the faster one will never catch the "slower" one because AI is 30% faster in game. Do you see my point?
  9. I believe that TRANSPORT role is implemented even in FE2 so if you define that role for plane in its inis you can meet one plane flying transport mission in game but only in campaign. or You can edit and define formation inis (like US fighter formation etc) where you can define only one possition (formation of one plane) and then in mission file you can define that flight will use that formation. 10. So when I saw those beautiful screens fron new expansion pack, I couldnt resist and started something new: Avia S-199 Mezek (Shakin) I hope I can let it fly soon (2 weeks :-) ) Monty CZ
  11. Hello is here anybody who can help me to convert SF2 avia into SF1 one? I tried it but 1st version cant read my inis and they are corrupted after exiting game (squares instead of letters) MontyCZ
  12. that Merlin sound is my bad - it is in Israel Expansion and I forgot to change it into default propsound. So it is not downloadable, but you can change the ini: EngineSoundName=PropLoop MontyCZ
  13. oh my god, I wrote something loong and lost it due connection problem :-( Basicaly I miss talking about actualy flying planes. Advantages and disadvantages of each of them. So why not to start here? Take off from my point of view: (not talking about NAVY because there it is full AB, brakes and pffft you are flying :-) ) preflight check - skipped in this sim because everything is allways working taxiing - skipped you are on RWY already contact tower - skipped, no comunication available flaps - already there engine - already started and heated. from this point it depends which plane you are in. Prop planes - you have to manage torque effect so release brakes and add throttle slowly or you will turn or (and this is worse) pitch nose down. Early jets - accelerates slowly, so it helps to retract flaps and deploy them at 120kmh (my way, not the historicaly correct) Harrier - if you want VTOL dont arm your plane, it cannot take off verticaly with rockets, bombs, ammo and fuel There is JATO bottles mod (jet assisted take off??) it might be fun to try (never tried). each plane has its own take off speed so trying to pull up too early will cause slowing down or stalling. from F-86 till todays planes you can simply add throttle and release brakes, it will fly :-) dont forget to retract gear and flaps. anybody have any further suggestions? MontyCZ
  14. Do you know that CS-199 has no armament, RIGHT? :-) I am thinking about role for that bird in SF2 world... some reason to actually fly it :-) I really miss crash landings in this game so I can try to make it suitable for it...(or will the plane allways explode after touching ground?)...Ohh sweet memories when I downloaded Warbirds (old online sim) only for some belly landings, dont know if it was possible in Chuck Yeager's game...Surviving the battle is half of the fun, return with damaged plane and landing is the second... MontyCZ
  15. one thing is sure, I am not good in painting bare metal planes :-( anybody wanna try it? :-) MointyCZ
  16. it is hard to fly Avia S-199 sometimes so there is trainer on the way :-) MontyCZ

  20. ohh! the neverending story of this site no, I wont do any G and K version, because using this site as a refference I cant see what is different on G-6 G-8 G-10 K-4 and so on. This has no meaning for me and I have no interests in WWII Messerschmidts. This above is basicaly G-10 (I hope) and this is all you can expect. MontyCZ
  21. reverse engineering in action :-) MontyCZ

  23. No I let it go as it is... in real life I dont know if specific plane had specific gunpods so maybe "they armed it with default one" :-) MontyCZ
